  1. Do you know why the surface of the wood finishing in the Bills WR room are so smooth? Because of Emmanuel Sanders.
  2. The Bills will have however much cap space less based on what he signs for, if they resign him. It doesn't have to be $7M. If Hughes signs with another team, that adds in to the comp pick calculation but the picks are awarded on a net in/out basis, so it would depend on many other things like how many FA's the Bills sign, do other Bills players sign elsewhere, how much do their contracts count in the calculation, and how do the Patriots get an extra 3rd rounder out of the whole thing?
  3. You're looking at this all wrong. Bills are close to the cap and need to release vets to get some space to sign some middling FA's. The fact that Hughes is NOT included in their current cap number means if they want to retain him, they need to eat into the cap even more. His salary coming off the books is already accounted for.
  4. I saw some advanced analytics on The Athletic that actually ranked Haack as the worst punter in the NFL. The same article also said that punting is becoming less and less relevant in today's NFL as teams score more often and go for it on 4th down more often.
  5. You hate to be a downer about the weather? Really? That's like 50% of your posts.
  6. My advice would be Davis. I see McKenzie splitting snaps with Beasley but assuming they sit Sanders with the knee injury, Davis should get consistent snaps.
  7. Played on the same team, went up against each other in practice every day.
  8. The tackle position with which we need someone to master...Bates!
  9. Perhaps. Ragland was not a defensive lineman as the post inferred. Or he meant Ragland and didn't realize he was a MLB. I dunno. Either way it's not hard to google it.
  10. This is incorrect revisionist history. The Bills did quite well vs. the best of the NFC those years in the regular season. They were a better team than the Giants in the first super bowl loss, Parcells just had a perfect game plan and they executed better to pull out an upset win that required a missed FG at the end. Agree that the Skins and Cowboys were superior teams in the subsequent three losses, but they were dominant in the NFC too, there weren't 3 or 4 other teams almost as good or that were clearly better than Buffalo each season.
  11. Lol. The spirit of the argument vs. the letter of the law. But you be you. And no rebuttal for the statistical evidence of Welker's talent level? I am disappointed.
  12. First off, the spirit of the topic was 'receivers' not WR's per se, but sure. Brady certainly made them better. But one data point at least indicates Welker was excellent even without Brady. Welker pulled down 111 receptions and 1165 yards in 2008 with Matt Cassel throwing to him. That season was statistically about the same as the surrounding 6 seasons with Brady at QB. I'd posit that Edelman was an even better athlete and receiver than Welker.
  13. And Edelman and Welker, both pretty darn good WR's. Although a TE not a WR, perhaps Gronk was not a nobody either.
  14. I'm guessing the demise of a 95 year old British woman will not move the markets much. If you are aware of the imminent collapse of the dam in China, can you also share when Venice will be consumed by the ocean, what date Putin will invade Ukraine, and where will the aliens land next?
  15. So basically if you have a 7 foot sail attached to one person, you'll flip over with 20mph winds. In that case, someone will need to tie down Spencer Brown when he opens his arms on Monday night or he's likely to capsize.
  16. Pats have won 6 straight and Bills have lost to Jacksonville and got blown out at home vs. Indy during that timeframe. I don't think it's unreasonable for the national talking heads to pick the Pats to win. That said, regardless of the media narrative on Mac Jones, Bills have the best player on the field in Josh Allen and if he performs, I think Bills win.
  17. Sure, but you have made it abundantly clear through the years you think Ralph was the anti-Christ, so your opinion can be safely ignored.
  18. Ralph owned the team during the championship 60's, the loser 70's, the up, down, up 80's, the glory year 90's, and most of the drought. Now Ralph's been gone for more than 7 years. Stop blaming Ralph for things.
  19. First time I have ever been happy to hear that the Bills will play without any Hart.
