  1. I found the article that OP is referencing- http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25720513/lucky-moves-shaped-all-eight-nfl-playoff-rosters-2018
  2. Ok fine... I'll play just for the heck of it. My answer would be probably not. I think what Mahomes did this year is incredible and I would love to see that happen here. But to call it a plug and play situation is just not being honest. My view is that Mahomes success is greatly aided by context. Look at the whole equation... (many others have said the same so I will keep it brief) 1. One year on the bench behind Alex Smith under coaching by Andy Reid and staff - they did a lot of work with him in that time - Mike Kafka basically adopted him http://www.espn.com/blog/kansas-city-chiefs/post/_/id/25194/chiefs-coached-the-recklessness-out-patrick-mahomes Compared with an unproven QB coach, plus Peterman and co... (yikes!) 2. Surrounding parts... Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, Sammy Watkins (yeah I know), etc. Compared with the scout team of Kelvin Benjamin, and a bunch of others who might actually turn into something?
  3. Revisit this in 3-5 years... until then we have no idea. As so many others have said in the thread, way to early to evaluate this concept.
  4. way too early for this nonsense... fake account.
  5. I don't call that throwing shade... he is just stating the obvious. Everyone knows the Bills are looking for O-Line help.
  6. I posted these two interviews the other Duke thread but they are buried on page 12... so sharing them here too... sounds to me like he might have the right mindset for "The Process" Coach speaks highly of him- (start around 4:25) He seems to have a work ethic-
  7. Here is an interview from July 2018 where the Edmonton coach answers several questions about Duke, he has a lot of good things to say about him here- (start around 4:25) And then here is an interview with Duke (Sounds like he might be "The Process" material-
  8. By laying the foundation that they have ("The Process"), they have created an environment to bring in guys like this. I am sure they did their homework on him, and it seems from the reports from the CFL that he has changed. They are giving him a chance here, and it could be a home run. If it doesn't work, he will be gone. Similar to the Corey Coleman situation. It's like the old adage about a rising tide lifts all boats... he will either rise to the occasion and contribute, or he will be gone before the season starts.
  9. He certainly isn't a choir boy! Loads of potential... was Kiper's top WR draft prospect at one point in time.
  10. It is ridiculous.... but here is the explanation, apparently the fines are set by CBA
  11. Thanks for sharing, that was fun to read. And this type of conversation is part of what has made Josh such a great fit here. I think the odd's are iffy that he can do it, but I love that he thinks about it and that we are having this conversation.
  12. He talked about in the WGR interview here (skip to 11:53) https://omny.fm/shows/howard-and-jeremy/playlists/podcast/embed?style=artwork&share=1&selectedClip=e7ab1d11-1af8-4886-a0e9-a9cb00f43f38 Sounds like he is definitely considering it, my guess is it happens at some point in time.
  13. My view has been to withhold all judgement on McBeane until 2019... and here we are! The events of the next 12 months will tell the tale... 12 months from now we will either be in the playoffs or we will be on the list of teams who are considering firing and starting over. My expectation is that we have the foundations in place for long term sustained success. I agree with Beane's draft comments, with a long term view- you will always be better off drafting with a priority on BPA and not need. That doesn't disregard need... but it means when it is time to pick they should select from a handful of the top players available on their chart with need as a secondary factor.
  14. Kyle.... thank you for a great career! The touchdown last year was one of the greatest Bills moments in recent memory! http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/0ap3000000902630/Sound-FX-Kyle-Williams-TD-run-catches-teammates-off-guard
  15. Who's cutting onions in here! Wow... great story. Well done.
  16. Here are some from last year... pretty random choices for sure http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/264251/holiday-gifts-from-teammates-to-nfl-offensive-linemen-boots-mattress-toppers-more Brissett got his OL "Onesie's??" ?

  18. I don't watch it or particularly care, but it is nice to see players recognized.
  19. Would have thought we would have at least one? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001001792/article/nfl-reveals-rosters-for-2019-pro-bowl-in-orlando?campaign=Twitter_atn Although Carucci report Kyle is 1st Alternate-
