  1. I think it’s a good thing. He has all the lockdown physical tools and needs to learn to work within zone which was never his strength. In the meantime you have two solid zone corners holding it down, whether Jackson or Benford, and if there’s anything McD and Butler can do well it’s develop DBs. I could only call it a bust if he doesn’t work out by the end of year 3 when you’re going into needing to decide on 5th year option. They’re barely paying 3 guy’s anything to be solid options opposite of Tre. And maybe in addition to a a rotation at CB2, if we’re that good at the position, rotate Tre out very seldomly to prolong that career. I know that will bring the pitchforks but it makes sense long-term. Elam has shown better run defense/tackling over college and tackling is a Tre deficiency. So, obvious run situations and still, very seldomly.
  2. Did the bills just go from terrible at YAC to being excellent at YAC? Seemed liked they were regularly outpacing their averages there.
  3. I would much rather face TH twice per year in the regular season with Tua than once a year in the playoffs with Patrick and the Chiefs.
  4. Isn't Klein a virtual lock to be on the team given the way his contract is structured versus the cap? Why wouldn't it just be Edmonds and Klein/Dodson with a long-term replacement by draft?
  5. Pretty sure these are just the guys who can’t be poached by another team off our practice squad. The elevations are named later in the week.
  6. Jerry still plays at a high enough level to keep him. The player he'll replace has been inactive the last month+ (oustide of week 17) in Trent Murphy, who'll be a free agent. You could cut Addison, too.
  7. I bet the Bills are pushing Leslie Frazier publicly as a good HC candidate so that they have a good reason to offer Daboll OC/Assistant Head Coach title to keep him around. If they were doing that for Frazier, why wouldn't they do that for Daboll?
  8. That 2017 chiefs game came to mind. Beating his mentor the first time he faced him as a head coach. It was Alex smith but they had been playing well if I remember correctly. I just remember that being the first time I was impressed with mcD.
  9. No they acquire an oil and gas lease to drill. Sometimes they buy the oil and gas rights in fee, but not all the time. If the term of the lease expires before they drill, they have to acquire a new lease (and pay a new bonus).
  10. If 120K acres is accurate, leases in Potter County, PA where they are operating have gone for between $300 an acre and $2000 an acre since they started there. That's 36 million to 240 million just to sign the leases. They have 116 permit filings with the PA DEP - public information searchable on the interwebs. It takes another 10 million plus to build the infrastructure, contract the rigs, the fracking crews, pipeline crews to connect to main pipelines, etc, for every well (I am generalizing that number). It's certainly approaching or exceeding a half-billion dollar investment, which one doesn't simply walk away from, even if you have stupid amounts of money. You either market it for sale as he did with the Shell and AE deals or you wait it out and hopefully you have Lessee's option to extend in the language of all of your core leases. I don't think you can say that they aren't in the oil and gas business in any meaningful way, and even if they do sell the JKLM assets, it seems like O&G is probably his first love in business and I wouldn't be surprised to hear he gets in somewhere else... Shell has publicly given up, announcing a sale in the coming months to Seneca Resources, of their remaining Appalachia assets (an arm of National Fuel). They have been making a minor divestment here of there for the last couple of years.
  11. I remember Pat Kirwan coming out with a book called Take your eye off the ball: How to watch football by knowing where to look. Unsure if it's any good but the Sirius NFL guys pushed it hard for a while (because he is one of those guys).
  12. Loved Terry as manager. The team didn't always win but he was seldom out-managed. Would be a great bench coach.
  13. You still get all of the noise and feel for the crowd, there are just no jerks/drunks. I took my kids to the cardinals game week three I think a couple years back and we had a blast there. Only note is that the game we went to, the weather was really nice out (sunny) but those sections are completed shaded, so my 5 year old daughter at the time got too cold.. just something to consider if it is a sunny day - it might not be as warm in those seats as it would be on the opposite side of the field.
  14. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/bills-live They're taking another recess...
  15. I get that in Chrome. Firefox won't load it - it looks like it is prepared to play in IE on Windows 7
