The whole reason WR1s get the stats they do is because the teams consistently expect them to win man matchups and throw that way. Any team drools at the thought of this situation happening: game winning play late game, man defense, no safety help, single coverage on your man.. Julio, JuJu, AJ, Thomas, Hill, etc... you need to have the luxury to assume your WR1 runs that route well enough to beat his man. QB's at every level are taught to love that read against that look.
