Uncatchable pass %. Dennison's fault too ?
Bing Bong replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm struggling to find an example of Dennison's system ever being wildly successful to the point where he doesn't adapt to personnel. I just see the classic ego of a coach that prefers to win in spite of the type of talent handed to him. Maybe he coached a good season out of Schaub?? he doesn't have the resume to insist on a system. This is a guy that pushed his system on a player like Manning. There are offensive coordinators that exist that aren't so darn inflexible. It feels like Dennison got something to work in Houston and has lived by that since. Get something to work here! Clue: this isn't the 2011 Texans, it's the 2017 Bills. -

Oh come on if he was really just running a "test" with the offense 9 minutes to go on the goal line then I absolutely want him to GTFO. That's even worse than him actually believing he was running the best play available. Complete losers mentality, nobody on that roster thought that game had defaulted to preseason "hey let's see what sticks when we call dog **** plays" mode. -
there's so little activity concerning the upcoming game right now.

Our defense is going to be built around the secondary. We need a lot more from the front 7. I'd forgo a qb (unless there's somebody they really feel strongly about) for an Aaron Donald sort; some sort of interior talent (I know, he's probably the best D lineman in the NFL right now). BPA at the trenches both sides, or linebackers.. so many holes. Granted I know nothing about CFB, don't really care for draft speculation since it's a crapshoot. yea sink or swim. If their QB guy is actually available, by all means get him and just draft trenches later.

Tre White: "the whole hood want 'em (Gronk)"

Absolutely, also coaching suicide for McD if he says anything otherwise. Every coach should ask himself "would Rex say this?" -
Conspiracy theory fun (qb related)

honestly I believe you. They friggin' love Peterman. Like I'm worried they don't even draft a quarterback. I will absolutely cherish this screen name if he ends up a successful starter. -
What do you fix first? OL or QB?
Bing Bong replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get our quarterback if he's available somehow. If not, don't trade up for lesser talent, we could have offensive line in one draft if the talent is there. -
Does the D line need a complete rebuild also?
Bing Bong replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think so and I like Lawson and Hughes starting too. But we need more talent there. -

One of the few positives I can take from this season is we somehow have a really good secondary out of nowhere.. it's not very deep, but seems like we can keep the 4 together for a long time on the cheap. Easily our best position group. -
Anyone concerned about the wr talent?
Bing Bong replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can just see the obvious improvement in a guy like Watkins if you watch the receivers for a series instead of ball watching. Most every team's got at least one guy that can get open almost right away. Seems like we have 3 of the exact type of slot receiver; big body possession guys lumbering through routes. I don't know a ton about the upside this type provides but seems like I see many teams without that sort of guy at all. Their slot is a water bug type. And what makes KB different from these guys? He's just more accustomed to lining up outside? Honestly don't know much about the various receiver roles, just thought all season we had a strange group on paper, and they certainly look that way to the eye test. -

Any position group can be "good enough" if positions around it are positions of strength. You need a few strengths to run an offense, our offense is batting .000 for all groups, not to mention the coordinator. -

Hyde talked mad trash at his PC afterwards, obviously deserved so nobody made a stink about it, but it was pretty refreshing to hear/see some reaction from a Bills player. Hyde was fuming over an hour after the incident. Hope this lights a fire under that whole defense, but definitely looks like the secondary is game for revenge. I don't remember a reaction like that directed towards Jarvis last year. Hyde already seems far and away the leader of that defense, I can't see how much clout an aging vet like Kyle has on the whole if nobody is even sure if he's coming back. This secondary should stick around for a while, get EJ Gaines re-signed and build the defense from that. I don't know what Poyer's contract is like, or if he would even require much cap anyway. I guess I'm trying to say I think this secondary has the attitude we're looking for. They just don't have the size to step to Gronk there, Preston, Meatball, and Hughes really should have stepped instead watching Hyde. But the secondary sure can go ACL hunting next time they see Gronk. They're talking the talk at least. God willing. -
Clinton Portis, Redskins teammates did shots before games
Bing Bong replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either they play better or they suck, so they stop getting high before games before they get cut. I'm pretty sure a professional football player would know by that stage in his career what works. I certainly would be scared of contact if I played a football game high, let alone remembering the playbook, I also loved playing soccer high. I'm sure some NBA players probably swear by it for zoning in on their shot, our guys in college did! Think it helps in a more fluid sport. Lol idk I could see a WR or defenders in simple schemes possibly benefitting from marijuana in games. -
Chiefs decide to suspend Marcus Peters for Raiders game

I can see why, it was a star player just giving up.. really stupid. Still didn't think they'd go through with it with what they have on the line. -

I thought they were the main team incriminated when the NFL cracked down on adderal use a few years back. I'd check that stupid everybodyCheats website but I ****ing hate whichever Patriot loser put that much production into it. -

I missed that as well. The interception from the highlight looked really out of character from Tyrod.. it was a really bizarre throw, he was bumped as he released. Also I kept hearing he supposedly got hurt on that first drive, never saw the play. When I started watching I saw Tyrod limited and was immediately pissed. He plays so bad hurt, just take yourself out of the game dude. Coach, take him out. I remember that dumb **** happening in games late last year too. I guess it's really up to Tyrod to admit his backup is better than him playing hurt. lowkey still love Plax. Give him and that D-line the lion's share credit in stopping the most evil of Patriot teams. I still remember Brady jinxing himself when he laughed at the low scoring pregame prediction. -

it's like in his mind he really thought Zay was having his way with Gilmore all game (I think that's who defended that pass). You call that play when you have like, Plaxico Burress playoff edition, showing you he's can't be stopped for 3 full quarters. -

I'd like insurance against trotting out the unit we did on Sunday. We don't stand a chance against the Pats any season no matter how our defense plays if their corners are as good as they are matched up against the likes of Deonte Thompson. Gilmore and Butler can each neutralize true #1 receivers, any receiver without that full skill set of a primary target is going to struggle. The Pats always find a way to get lock down corners, Butler was a helluva draft pick. -

Bing Bong replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, one bad part of the offense doesn't excuse everything else. Maybe McCoy, maybe Zay, maybe O'Leary are the only guys on the offense that can say they played alright for most of the season. That Peterman fade to Zay on 4th and 1.. what in the **** kind of play call is that. If you told me before the snap what the play was, regardless of down I'd give that play 5% chance at best. -

Oh certainly. Zay looks slow as dirt, gets open on his crazy exaggerated head/body fakes (actually works too I thought he looked silly at first) reminds me that's why he didn't have time to adjust for that fated Carolina ball. I was so excited about Tyrod his first season, that deep ball was so good. Even with Sammy and Goodwin in he never quite hit or even attempted that deep ball nearly as much. Really does feel like he regressed. I'm done making excuses for him he's made his bed after this season. I just find it unfortunate that every year felt like his receivers got worse (Watkins missed more and more games), and then his running game disappears from him. All of that fell apart this year and unfortunately he can't do a better Russell Wilson impression.
