You prefer the NFL because you can understand the cap rules? There are a lot of good reasons to prefer the NFL but reading a CBA contract isn't one lol

it is if your entire LB corps is batting like .750 on suspensions.

Marquise Goodwin buys mom/sister home
Bing Bong replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's kind of a shame he took this long to get around to football because he looks like he'll be a top tier receiver for years to come. He could have signed a huge contract, and probably will when his 49ers is up. Gave himself 2 years, one to break out as a premier athlete, and the second to make his case for a long lucrative contract. But this will be really his last chance to hit payday before he's on the wrong side of his prime. -
Good God how many crappy characters have the 49ers linebacker corps over the years. Makes me wonder if Willis and that rookie that retired early looked around at Navarro Bowman, Ray Maulaga, Aldon Smith, and did not have fun being around em. I should caveat that I don't think this particular guy is a poor character for just this. Just reminded me of that crazy talented LB Corp that could barely get on the field together with all those off field issues.

Marquise Goodwin buys mom/sister home

Question, did Marquise Goodwin break out a career season because he left that Buffalo offense? Or because he took football in the offseason seriously, being on a new team and all.. I mean just watching him briefly at the 9ers he looked like he added 30 pounds of muscle. Looked like a WR monster. -
The fallacy of Allen being the bigger "risk" than Rosen

I DON'T WANT SOME QUARTERBACK WITH THAT GIRLY HOURGLASS FRAME. LOOKS LIKE A GIRL. -
If we're going Sammy Baugh what about Bart Starr Rankings wise I don't really see Elway always being head and shoulders over his contemporaries. If my life depended on it I'm not sure I wouldn't take Steve Young, Dan Marino or Brett Favre over Elway in a game. Was pretty disappointing in his early Superbowls and was a game manager on a stacked team in his twilight. Not to mention that offensive line chip blocked the **** out of DL men, they were insanely dirty and successful. Just saying he's in the 8-12 range in the mix with Favre, Marino, Young

Granted Tyrod's not a great QB by any stretch but this is such a dumb cliche. Coaches say the same thing about Aaron freaking Rodgers.. any quarterback that makes plays out of the pocket.. they're still playing quarterback. It's not like any defense is focused on making sure not to let Tyrod to run the freaking wildcat. Silly cliches way too often repeated: "We forced him (Bortles, Rodgers, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Tyrod) to play QB" this just means keeping the quarterback in the pocket and not being a rushing threat or extending plays "The process" Of what? Improving? We don't need a catch phrase to say we're trying to get better "Belicheck is playing 3D chess" He's not. He's a coach that doesn't overcomplicate things and has Tom Brady "I want someone to throw the receiver open" As opposed to throwing to open receivers? Throwing to your first read Deonte Thompson covered by Jalen Ramsay no matter how tight the coverage for like a 5% chance of completion?

When he's there for 50% of the snaps. We signed a rotation NT. I'd like to know why he wasn't playing more. I may be wrong but Panthers fans have told me he really didn't play as much as you'd think.

All-22 analysis of Dion Dawkins
Bing Bong replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And I assume the only way to have access to that is having NFL Game Pass. I enjoy articles like these, but would just like to see more plays broken down. The Peterman one had like.. 4, Dawkins maybe 4 (can't access the link at work rn) -
All-22 analysis of Dion Dawkins
Bing Bong replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like these writeups. I used to think All-22 was the end all be all analysis as everybody throws it out as such. But all I see are articles diagnosing like.. 3 plays. What the heck is an All-22? Just a better angle of the whole game from the TV broadcast? -

That's cool, I can goof around about Matt Ryan's girly form too. He's an MVP lmao -

I don't think quarterbacks really need it. If he's the better camp quarterback then start him. If not, NBD but he needs to be improvong. But if he's the kind of quarterback that gets worse after bad games then he's not a good quarterback mentally to begin with. Everybody has bad games, the ones that can't move past it suck. -

Yep.wouldnt call Matt Ryan or Aaron Rodgers leader of men. Being a good quarterback tends to keep the team happy The alpha male leader could be the center for all we know on some teams. We have Shady, who cares if it's not a QB -
The fallacy of Allen being the bigger "risk" than Rosen
Bing Bong replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Welp, you started off okay, started quipping with disagreements, and lowered yourself to this point. "those shoulders are kinda girly".. good analysis. Really good insight to why a slight frame makes Allen the way to go lol. Take a look around the NFL, always been aging quarterbacks that play successfully, that are smart to release before "getting thrown around like a rag doll." Brady could be the most injury prone player the last few years if he wasn't the master of the borderline intentional grounding, referee complaining, and folding like lawn chair before he gets any serious contact. Rosen has a high football IQ. This isn't Peterman waiting until the last second for Bosa to nail him before throwing while being hit. I'm not going to take stock in college concussions. Every quarterback gets concussions, minor or major, throughout a season. Is it Rosen's fault he plays for a conservative Athletic Director in college and accurately reports his concussions rather than jeopardizing his future/NFL career for a UCLA team not going anywhere? I'm perfectly fine with players going out for concussions. It doesn't indicate the seriousness of a concussion, some players are simply aware they got their bell rung, have safety in their starting positions, and don't want to get repeated concussions in a short period of time (the real deal breaker). Then there's players that play all game, getting minor concussions, and don't go out with it until they get knocked cold. Maybe it's me, but I'm fine with a player leaving voluntarily for concussion protocol. Being out for a concussion has nothing to do with the severity of the concussion. I can't believe he said that. And see my post 2 posts above. Just because we didn't get Rosen doesn't mean we need to take dumb personal shots at him that aren't true. Good god, just root for Josh Allen. -

Bing Bong replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean I'm aware Rosen has his shortcomings. But to play devil's advocate his shortcomings have nothing to do with him throwing the football, whereas all Allen's shortcomings come from that. So I wanted Rosen. I don't particularly care too much we went Allen because I don't know jack in predicting QB success in the draft. It seems a pointless effort to spend so much time consuming research on finding out the quarterback you want after all these 6 1st round grade QBs coming out and enraging yourself when we don't get the guy. Go Allen! -
Why the hate for Josh Allen?
Bing Bong replied to JOE IN HAMPTON ROADS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want our first round top 10s to be great. Half the NFL teams that want a QB wanted him. I want him to be able to start day 1. He's on a team he can game manage he should be able to do that. Many rookies do it. I'm rooting for our best QB to be on the field, but if it's Pete or AJ winning because they're not rookies I don't like the sign of not trusting our gamble. -
