  1. and.. would he be that good to warrant it anyway?
  2. EJ was serviceable as a backup IIRC. Those receivers were drop city.
  3. As did Desean Jackson. AB did it last year (the kick in the punter's face lol), if the talent is that special then go for it. I don't think the risk reward is there with Hyde compared to AB or Desean Jackson lol. beats me, I want him back!
  4. I liked that Powell dude a lot actually. Rarely made mistakes. Wasn't going to break out for a TD return, but got positive yardage and didn't do anything stupid. Was refreshing from Leodis days. Just want a dude like that.
  5. I'm obviously partial with Hyde love. Also talking strictly defense. Main point is that the best DE's can be chipped, game planned for, and if you were to have ONE good player on defense, might as well be your wildcard Safety running amok. Hard to game plan for a Safety with Ed Reed or Polamalu instincts. If ONE good player on defense is your defensive end, he can get neutralized like Mack appeared to be on a bad defense, even though he was still playing like a monster.. Their defense still was getting owned.
  6. 1-2, let's focus on 2-2, don't want a Cousins meltdown and 1 Josh Allen game to define our season to 5-11. Want a defensive juggernaut and Josh Allen to define the season AND CATCH UP TO THE DAMN DOLPHINS.
  7. The old guns are still killing it tho. DREW BREES SPUN 2 DEFENDERS for a 5 yard scramble.. what in the heck Falcons LBs. They honestly looked scared to knock the lights out of a 37 year old Quarterback past the LOS
  8. I'd trade for him in a hot minute. Dude doesn't need an offensive line to ball. Idk how it works, but if we get him on a franchise tag first year , doesn't hit CAP right? Resign him with all the fat stacks everyone's saying we'll have next year. We could line him up at WR every down and he'd be our best WR by a long shot
  9. I think Safety position is watered down since the talent pretty much goes to CB and LB early on in football.. but having those elite safeties are huge. I'd watch Troy Polamalu and don't think I've ever seen a defensive player have the impact he did given his freedom due to his position to make judgement calls, his intelligence, and athleticism. Dude was everywhere on the field, would see a Quarterback indecisive and run faster than lightning for a sack, reads a run play and gobbles it up waaay behind where the runninback normally goes cause he's charging unblocked. I've seen them be the real difference makers on a team. But no they don't HAVE to be with a good supporting caste. I'd say if I could only have 1 great defensive player on a team, I'd give it safety, because they're freedom can't be game planned around. You can always run away from a run stuffer, double a pass rusher, but nothing you can do about a Troy Polamalu diagnosing your play and running wild with the whole field in front of him and no blockers I ****ing loved that Hyde play on 4th and 1. Mancrush on Hyde. Favorite Bill.
  10. Woodson is one of the best corners ever! A HOF lock!
  11. First of all New England ALWAYS have 2 top #1 cornerbacks: Logan Ryan and Brandon Browner, Brandon Browner and Darelle Revis, Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis AND Malcom Butler, Malcom Butler and Logan Ryan, Malcom Butler and Stephon Gilmore. At almost all these points, their #2 was better than our #1. And uh.. Devin McCourty the ENTIRE time. They value that secondary because having the strongest unit they have to support Brady getting them up points, forcing teams to air it out is a pretty darn good recipe for success. Philly got rocked in their secondary by the way, could have used some Brady help. So did the Patriots, could have used some Butler. If you want to point out Green Bay's 2010 superbowl team? Turns out they did what the Pats do! 2 probowl cornerbacks in CHARLES Woodson, and Tramon Williams, not to mention and up and coming Sam Shields. Again, their second best unit! And I'll go down the list.. Seahawks had the best secondary in the league. Polamalu's Steelers had one of the best secondaries in the league. The Broncos won with a pass rush and two all pro cornerbacks in Talib and Chris Harris Jr.. I'm hard pressed to see a secondary that wasn't a huge reason for a team's success. I'll give you the Eagles.. and it skinned them alive. They had Tramon Williams and young Sam Shields. Of course they had a loaded secondary. Haven't since, and haven't won a SB since. If you have that kind of passing attack you get a secondary to squash teams forced to pass. Patriots live and breathe by that. Post needs to be fact checked big time.
  12. HYDE ALL DAY. Tre second.
  13. Absolutely. Rookie last year right? Drafted late, after Peterman or just around there. Liked what I saw, played a good amount of games too.
  14. how's your offensive line this year? It's usually consistently capable enough to combat better Defensive lines, let alone the Bills (although MAYBE they're getting the hang of it.) I think purely from our defensive standpoint we win the WR/Secondary matchup, and the 2 lines are a wash, if not in Greenbay's favor on offense in the trenches.
  15. They have a decent line. We win if JA can put up some drives from his own 30, either get points or great field position. AND THEN THE SECONDARY FEASTS on Aaron's crap WRs. It's up to the offense. 17 well deserved points and we can do this. Can't bank on 2 fumbles inside the 20. Fun fact: we gained just as many yards as the Vikings. I know it's game situation and all, and 2 fumbles inside the 20, but we can't rely on all those turnovers. JA played well, his WRs really didn't help, but if can put up 17 pure offensive points with his PS offense on long killer drives, I'm excited for this team, win or lose. It's on the defense that isn't full of PS boys after that to win the game.
  16. yeah they don't last long. Because people pick the obvious wins early and are like "crap!, I don't have Saints or Chiefs to play. Better pick this Vikings game.." //either loses, or has no sure bet going forward after that. I'll join next year for some easy money
  17. Beathard.. was okay last year actually. Decent backup. But yeah 9ers are done.
  18. Who the heck does the Vikes Bills in a survivor league. If you think the Bills are THAT bad, you save them for later when they play an equally poor team. You pick the Vikings at that time and you lose the Vikings. You pick the easy games you're not going to last in a game of attrition.
  19. To be fair.. it was a crappy play design.
  20. Felt like TBD won the the SB. Let's focus on 2-2
  21. Josh Allen galvanized the team. He must have been embarrassing himself in practice too. Doubt the players took one half of Vontae Davis to care.. probably happy the old man retired before he got cut
  22. He also flew from the 5 yard line to the pylon. HE FLEW.
  23. I'd rather be the Chiefs. No telling how Mahomes would have fared here, but he's in the MVP race for sure.. as is Fitz lol They've never had close to this offense. Last time Andy Reid had these kind of weapons to play with they was his TO Eagles. They got off to a hot start with Dwayne Bowe, and Alex Smith never recording a WR TD. this is a different animal
