team "A" (bills) plays in 4 lousy weather games every year

team "B" (Miami) plays in 1 lousy weather game per year

who has the advantage for better record ?

Did you see those games in our glory days? We are sleeveless and not heaters. The dolphins and raiders, long sleeves covered in jackets around heaters. They could wait until the game was over.

How in hell are people supposed to buy property already in the process of being purchased?

There is still property in the area. Not as close but the value will increase once the news breaks that is how real estate works.  Property values go up based on growth go down when businesses move out.

I like Cadet but if they want to invest a few dollars and hurt an opponent Dion Lewis would help this team a lot.  According to spotrac he is a free agent .

If cadet doesn’t get hurt, he’s back.  He still might be depending on injury. We will not be targeting Dion Lewis

after all the trouble shoveling snow out of current stadium...

i'd say chances are 99% likely the new stadium has a retractable roof

It will.  We are not debating that.  That has been confimed

Have you already listed the top 6 free agent targets? I might have missed it but you were going to compare with what someone else posted as what they thought the top 6 targets would be.

I will we are working on another breaking story right now.

  5. I always thought during the glory days, the Marino led dolphins were at a disadvantage traveling to the Ralph in December same with the raiders.  It gave us a huge advantage.  It is what made the packers division the black and blue division. Now two domes in the division not the same

Very specific details about the stadium. Very vague details about where it will be

At the end of January. As soon as we close on our property I will pm you with the location.  It will shock you. Right under your nose. U will kick yourself for not connecting the dots and buying land.

Back to football, we can all agree we must upgrade at our running back position. Tolbert is done.  Cadet reminded me of Kenny davis.  Good change of pace back.  Drop off from Thurman but still very good.  I know Shady needs a rest but why we insist on giving Tolbert the ball defies logic.  It would be better for Taylor to take a knee. We would lose less yards.  The Bills have identified two backs that they will target.  One is a a free agent the other we would have to trade for. We see the bills waiting for draft day and letting the team move up in the draft for him. Both are not superstars but huge upgrade over Tolbert and could carry the load for a few games if Shady pulls a hammy

  7. The retractable roof allows for maximum viewing pleasure. My investment group is pumped with the news. It will increase the value of our investment since the building will be used year round. The multi-plex shopping entertainment environment is going to be great for the surrounding Greater Buffalo area.  It will bring money from Rochester and Canada into our local economy. Everyone wins.   The stadium will also feature the latest and greatest in technology.  Cannot even imagine what the technology will be in six years.  I know one feature will be wireless connection to the national feed of the game so you can actual be live at the game and listen to the commentary if you like.  My dad would also bring a radio to the game and listen to the commentary. For fantasy owners, can you imagine being able to have access to all that information too.  I wonder if new era will keep their naming rights.  I still refer to the current stadium as the Ralph

The operation of retractable roofs are subject to the ground rules set by the NFL. Retractable roofs are installed in the home fields of the Cardinals, Colts, Cowboys, and Texans. In 2017, this will include the Falcons. These procedures are covered in the league’s policy manuals, not in the rulebook.

    Pregame procedure

Up to 90 minutes prior to kickoff, the home team must notify the referee or the designated representative from Football Operations whether the roof will be open or closed for the game. If the roof needs to be moved into that position, this must be completed before team warmups.

If the roof is open, and there is incoming hazardous weather (such as lightning or high wind), the referee will consult with Football Operations and the stadium manager about a decision to close prior to the game. If it begins raining before the game, that can be done immediately.

Changing the roof during the game

Inside 90 minutes to kickoff and during the game, the decision on the roof may not be changed except by the referee or by Football Operations.

If the game has already started, an open roof may be closed up to 5:00 of the fourth quarter if it begins to rain or if there is a threat of incoming hazardous weather. The referee makes the decision, in coordination with Football Operations, as to when the roof closes. This gives the referee the ability to factor in the current game situation and to make the transition at an equitable time, barring any emergency situation.

The game will continue to be played as the roof is closing, unless play is suspended under the usual emergency procedures.

After 5:00 of the fourth quarter and through overtime, the roof will remain open if it rains, and will only be closed if a public safety concern is involved.

Once the roof is closed, either in pregame or during the game, it cannot be reopened. No NFL game has had a reversal of the pregame roof decision, or even the possibility of doing so; more often than not, the roof will be closed if there is a forecast of bad weather.

    Thanks

    Curious minds want to know.

Domes are louder are they not?

More fans would attend cold games in December and hopefully January.

Do they have natural grass in domes? I’m pretty sure “someone“ said the Bills will go from turf to grass again.

    Yes

  9. This just in.  As previously reported the new stadium would be open air my source has now confirmed the stadium will have a retractable roof but the majority games will be played in open air  not sure of the criteria to close the roof,  good for the fans for those December games but we give up our home field advantage.  This makes sense because they want to use the stadium year round. Good for local community economy but traffic congestion seems to be big concern   Let’s keep discussion on football today so we can all enjoy

  10. Dennison will be back if McDermott has his way.  Beane is not so high on him and would prefer someone else.  Hoping Todd downing can add some wrinkles to the offense.

Interesting...how was Jim back in the day?

He was cocky and not well liked. The changing point in his life was the loss of his son and when he found Christ.  He readily will admit this.  He was very arrogant. We hated it when he came in, it was not often because he barked his order at us. Isiah Roberson was the same way. Never liked him always wanted a free beer.  Always would say do you know who I am ,  duke ferguson was the best.  Back up but he was so nice and cool

Update on Gaines tomorrow. If the game was held today, he would not play according to staff

This thread is so much more enjoyable when we are all focused on football instead of hating each other.  I think the thread has turned the corner.  It was good they shut it down for awhile to let us cool our heads.  First time ever an thread has been turned back on which was cool.  I know a lot people were upset.

Hey Don, what’s the word on Mayfield from OBD? Sorry I missed it if already mentioned

Bills have him low.  Poor field vision, below arm strength poor foot work.  We will pass on him

Back in the day, I was a bartender at local watering hole in downtown Fredonia when the bills held their camp there.  The three niecest guys and biggest tippers were Fred smerlas, Conrad Doppler, and Phil vilipano.  Mean as heck on the field, complete gentlemen off.  Bruce Smith was a gentle giant, he was nice to everyone.  Thurman was very standoffis.  Not over friendly. I hated the bills that always wanted a free beer and no tip.

DD based off everything I've read and seen from you/major media sources this is where I fall with the Bills and correct me if I am wrong:

-Belief is Bills just need a QB who can manage the game given belief in defense and with Zay/Benjamin offense is not as far away as it seems.

-The defense showed shades of its true potential this season and this draft/FA will most likely be used to bring in DE, DT, & LB to strengthen line and pass rush. If Hughes doesn't shape up he is out because they can get someone in FA/draft for better price

-Main fix on defense is the front 7 with secondary overhaul working out quite well. Milano's arrival will help the focus more be on DE/DT

-Only thing that alters this would be if the Bills somehow could land a trade to either jump the draft board for Rosen/Darnold OR Cousins comes here as you have hinted

-Dennisons future is basically connected to either Cousins arrival or a playoff birth although importance to the former.

-Assuming Bills don't land Cousins/Top QB they want a guy in the mold of Alex Smith, Case Keenum, or Sam Bradford who is that safe game manager that hits more passes then Tyrod but will not make turnover killing plays.

-Shady is probably here another year unless a player like Barkley falls to them, but expect a decent backup to arrive that may be the heir apparent

-Longterm QB future is see if Peterman can learn the job behind Smith/Bradford/Keenum, if not you have the 2019 draft available where the team has the defense strengthened and offense in the place where a rookie QB can be succesful.

-Stadium is the only area I disagree and still say its downtown where Pegula has bought so much property. IF it were not to be there my guess is either in Niagara Falls or an area by the 90/Blue Water tower that still would be considered "Buffalo". No way Batavia would ever get the respect for being Buffalo name wise. Stadium design and surrounding area sounds on point, no secret Pegula admires what Kraft has done and would love to mimic that around here.

    Respectfully my .02

Well done. I agree with you. The stadium will not be in Batavia or at the falls. As soon as my investment group closes the deal I will let u know too much Johnny cash involved

I never said he was I did. I have too many important things to discuss rather than bs

Who are our top six free agent targets? Please post. I would be interested to compare your guesses against our information

Then why did you say your source was right again in the post about Trapasso’s mock?  You specifically responded to that post.

Thought it was interesting we already had the information and now cbs is reporting. It is cool to beat the story

I don't care about most people...I care about the GM and coach. If they looked at this team and saw 4 or 5 wins then they're not good at their jobs or do not have confidence in their abilities.....or the players abilities as well

Cannot go to a gun fight with a pee shooter, the cupboards were bare. We got rid of how many players. It wa just great coaching and a lot of luck on our turnovers
