Good analysis. If you have 2 LBs with pass coverage ability that can tackle that is what this defense calls for. Allows them to bring corners and safties on blitzes more and makes it hard to get chunks down the seam. Now when 1 isn't in there the middle seems to open up like there is no tomorrow because you have to have the speed to hover around LOS until you identify if it is pass or run and then haul ass back if its a passing play.

The other key to this is that we move the ball. Always. 9 games with 20 or more first downs. You don't get 3 and outs with that type of accuracy and air yard combination.

Should merge this with the thread about spending on a QB from a week or so ago. In spite of some of the answers here you are right. Outside of mahomes paying 35 to 40M for a QB is detrimental to your teams success. Patriots had Brady taking home town discount so they kept a dynasty going...but if you look at the mistakes like paying Cousins Stafford Ryan etc it hasn't worked out so well. If you pay a QB...he better be top 3 in league. Josh may be just that when it is time for him to get paid. Having said that we can always hope we are able to get him cheaper than market by him getting more side endorsements. Still 10M under market. So point is still the same.

Key here is we won't have to deal with the elements so I expect the offense to have another big day.

Whats interesting about this game is what defense does Arizona fame plan for? The one where we drop 7 to keep him in pocket and make them run the ball or the one that brings 5 every play like against Jets or the one that runs delayed blitzes like yesterday. We have completely thrown base defense out the door and it is going to make us very hard to gameplan for.
