Anyone Listen to Jerry Hughes interview yesterday?
Hebert19 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. But at the same time ppg is the highest ever right now. Yup. Ever. And not by a small margin. So for the bills. Where we had a good D based on scheme and trust moreso than just elite players...it impacts us more. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/NFL/scoring.htm -

Whole league is struggling on D. Makes sense what he's saying. Let's hope we have figured it out. -
I thought the first few minutes we're super insightful as to where some of the struggles with our defense and with defenses around the league have been this year. The inability to meet and get on the same page in the same room causes some disconnects when it comes to game plan when it comes to Tendencies when it comes to responsibilities. Which is super interesting considering he thanks that they've worked around that during the bye week. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/jerry-hughes-we-re-in-a-really-good-position

Four QB's on pace to make history this year.

Culpepper -
I think brown is gonna battle thru everything until the season is over. He's a tough little bastard. Based on how he's run when in open field I'm guessing he's got meniscus issue too.

Ravens-Steelers now postponed to Wednesday 3:40 pm

Cry me a river steelers fans. Happened to us too. -
Has anyone taken the time to look at the AFC vs NFC young GOOD QBs? There are like 10 QBs that allen will be battling for the next 10 years. Mahomes Jackson Burrows Herbert Tua Lawrence (likely) Watson Mayfield Plus relatively young guys like Carr and Tannehill. Meanwhile in NFC...you got potential busts like Haskins and Jones. Old timers like brees Brady and rogers. Soon to he older like Wilson Stafford and Ryan. What is there for young and GOOD? Murray? Dak if he ever comes back the same. It is a huge discrepancy between future of AFC and NFC. Cap management is going to be key to keep us competitive.

Yup. 9 wins at most unless they stick with Fitz. Tua sucks. -
Week 11 Around the League

Maybe the NFL can stop blowing Tua after this. He limits this offense more than Fitz. -
This dolphins offense is limited by tua. He can't push the ball down the field. He really does

Agree. Its all about adjustments. My point is that we have a D much more suited to playing the chiefs than the ravens or titans.

So I listened to a random podcast in the car about new Orleans starting Hill this week and how that allows Peyton to call plays for the new NFL... Meaning options, boots, trickery for mobile QBs. It got me thinking. In this so called new NFL a DEs and DTs have different responsibilities. It's no longer about getting to QB at the bottom of a 5 or 7 step drop its about keeping them in the pocket. And if they escape its about having super athletic linebackers that can go sideline to sideline. It's also about scheming to blitz your way to pressure....like we did against Russell. So what does a defense like that look like. Dts...penetrating and less run staffers. DE...quick. set the edge and can pursue from behind. Lbs...speed! And ability to blitz. Safties...speed! And ability to blitz. CBS...zone > man as its more about scheme and keeping plays in front of you than shut down... Sound like a defense that we Know? Ya its not perfect but its designed to stop Tua, Murray, Russell, Watson etc more than the bradys and bens of the league. Not sure this is intentional but it could come in handy if we make a run this year.

Week 11 TNF: Zona at Seattle Battle of the Birds
Hebert19 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hes good at the line in general. Hes a small LB basically. Having said that I think in this D he could lead league in sacks on 2021. -

How did we beat Seattle and how did we lose to zona. Ha Our offense is elite. To hang 74 points on these guys in 2 weeks is pretty impressive -

Me too. Denver Oakland and NE. NE because well Bill B in a rookies kitchen. Same with Oakland and gruden although they are just a good team. And Denver because I think dolphins believe their own hype and lay an egg. -

Who to root for threads (and playoff machine)

Wow. I have the dolphins not even making playoffs while beating us in 17. Browns raiders titans and colts all with better records. -
