All balances out. We won a couple last year maybe we didn't deserve. We lost a couple this year we maybe did. I like to think with a run of bad luck we are due for some good luck at right time.

Honestly people don't understand what he was drafted for. He IS one of the best linebackers in pass coverage in the NFL if not the best. He is average against the run. Makes some plays but over pursues a lot. With the more athletic tight ends like kelce and the amount of crosses teams run now he is invaluable in this D. 2 safties deep leaves a big hole in the middle and you need a long fast LB (or 2) to get depth answers take away the middle. He's improving against the run and has made some great sticks in the last few weeks...but please pay attention to his primary purpose and see how many catches NE tighends got last weekend and see how he will be used against Pitts this week.

Kyle Brandt called this right after it happened. Compared it to the second half of chiefs bucs last year where bucs went on a run after a great half against chiefs.

I've been saying this all year. Run blocking requires some reps to get into a rhythm. And once you have that rhythm it makes pass blocking easier because the D doesn't know which is coming. Pass blocking when the D knows a pass is coming isn't fun. Run blocking once every 10 plays is hard to do. Get some balance and they then have the advantage over D line notice other way around. They also slide the pocket a bit or josh slide away from pressure. He was more chill and it helps. When he takes off too early it's hard to block for that.

Yup. Takes risk away of losing a key player and NfL will want that.

Well I saw a stat from Boston reporter that since 2017 McDermott has all but eliminated passing from patriots. Something ridiculous like 4TD and 11 INT.

Where has this disappeared to? Edmunds over ran a couple things yesterday but for most part was excellent against the pass and good against the run. He also has layed the lumber more on last few weeks than his entire career. He has been way more physical.

I don't agree necessarily. Yes they both play slot but McKenzie skill set is totally different. He could like up outside and run goes and or deep crosses which Beasley doesn't run. But most of his catches were with Allen in first half.

BTW. I said Gabe being out might be an Advantage. Pats DBs are build to play guys like Gabe. They aren't the fastest or quickest but play physical. Throwing a line up of McKenzie sanders and diggs at them is their kryptonite. They don't have the foot speed to keep up.
