  1. History means nothing really though since it's a new team all new coaches and new GM and owner. Just saying.
  2. Not really. It would have been a great catch but it should have been an easy touchdown with a better throw.
  3. He may have dropped this one but it was a **** pass. A good qb puts that in a better spot.
  4. I think the interesting part of McCarran is that he sat on the bench. Why is that interesting. 1. He won't want to go there again. 2. He sat behind Dalton for a while. And say what you will about Dalton but he got them to the playoffs a few years in a row and he's a pro...maybe not the best pro but he's a good mentor. 3. He's a smart enough kid yo know how to prep properly after sitting for a while so I believe he will be ready to play whenever we need him.
  5. With the trade of jpp...they have a hole or were they making a hole? Could Hughes be part of the package we are offering? Hughes 12 and 22? Purely speculation but if we wanted to keep as many draft picks as possible it would make some sense.
  6. Think Jeff George or jay Cutler. Thats what i see. Big arm.......................bout it
  7. I think the tape when it comes to him speaks for itself. If you need a rb and he falls...you take him. But most expect he will be gone early.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000922149/article/fiveround-mock-draft-buffalo-bills-trade-up-for-baker-mayfield I could buy into this in the wake of Zay news. We have no cap space, no WRs, and now Zay is in trouble. sign me up for Mayfield and a wr in round one.
  9. Jordan Matthews anyone.
  10. If like to include the wr discussion but we had same issue when we had Sammy, woods and Goodwin.. .how did they make out without tyrod.
  11. Plus 1. Don't screw up next year's draft as well as this one to get someone. I'm personally not a fan of trading up at all but if we do...limit the damage to this draft.
  12. Rams are about to be in cap jail next year. They better win it all this year.
  13. I've read people make this statement a few times in different posts and thought it deserved a thread. First off this is B.S. in my opinion. I think he made the line lool worse. Why you ask? 1. Since 2016 Taylor has had the highest time to throw in NFL. Meaning he holds the ball the longest. 2. He almost never throws the ball at the top of his dropback. He never anticipates the throw and rarely throws based on timing. Instead he waits for people to get open causing dline to get pressure and fans who don't understand things say wow...he saved a sack there but instead if the ball came out on time there would be no pressure at all. 3. Taylor's footwork was/is terrible. Instead of stepping up in the pocket (which was solid due to wood and Ritchie most of the time) he moved into where the defense was a lot. For these reasons a QB who can throw with anticipation and has better mobility within the pocket will make the oline look much better. Discuss.
  14. Disagree wholeheartedly. Tyrod held the ball longer than any qb in the league by a fair margin...if anything the oline looked worse because he didn't make throws based on timing and waited to see people open.
  15. Never said bills strategy was correct just disputing that most of those bozos would be worth paying the ransom we will have to pay to get someone like them.
  16. Let's take a deep dive here on the list. Luck - pretty good but honestly he hasn't performed near what everyone thought he would. Wentz - agree. He's the real deal. Goff - could be foles 2.0. Was absolutely terrible in one system and good when given the most weapons in the league. Can't say he's good yet. Matt Ryan - agree. Mahomes - crazy talk to say he's anything yet. Watson - looked good. But is he another Bradford that can't stay healthy. Who knows. Trubisky - wow. Not sure he was better than treat Edwards last year to be honest. Winston - I wouldn't trade any pick yo get him. He's horribly inconsistent. Mariota - under achieve much? again. No picks would be traded for him. Newton - agree...but he's not tier 1 Stafford - throws for 5k every year but can't win a playoff game. Of your list of trade picks in hindsight for 3. Maybe 4 of them.
  17. We will see how it plays out but I will just sit back and watch the process unfold.
  18. Agree. Could be the opposite but same concept. I'm thinking Jackson is their number 2 no matter what. That's why you sign the guy with upside to a 2 year deal.
  19. It might just be me but beane seems to love to throw smoke screens out there and tall people into stuff that he wants them to believe. He's done this a number of times...from saying sammy is a huge part of the offense to saying Dareus is doing all the right things. He plays with everyone to maximize value he can get in return. To me this draft is no different. He had a plan all along and he's executing on it. Gut tells me his favorite QB is QB3 to QB5...and it has been all along. He traded up to get McDermott his LB and he's going to wait to get Jackson Rudolph or something else. He likely realized the cost was too high to trade up. It forced the jets to make a bonehead move and it will force others to jump ahead where he cam take advantage of his 12th pick being bpa. Just a hunch but he seems very methodical and doesn't do anything by chance.
  20. Agree totally. Save all 6 picks on first 3 and take best an available at 12 or 22. It's really a no brainer to me.
  21. Before we anoint goff king I want to see if this is a foles mirage or not. Is he the guy that played terribly as a rookie or the guy that played well with arguably the best supporting cast in football??? We will see next year.
  22. Or we don't trade up and we have a better team and a shot a a qb that has the same chance of success as the first pick as of this moment.
  23. Id take maclin on the cheap.
  24. Sign me up here as well. Keep the picks. Difference between qb1 and qb4 is negotiable
  25. If we do this it's stupid. We don't know the difference between the 1st and 5th best qbs in this draft more than we knew Brady would be the goat. That move would cost us everything this draft and some in next. I'm fine with rolling dice in who drops out of top 10.
