And got destroyed in the super bowl those 90” teams got out coach and beat down in all 4. I mean dang got beat by a 2 string QB in the first one.

I liked those seasons a hell of a lot better than 2000-2016.  Fans can get spoiled and take competitive teams for granted... I don't do it anymore.  We've got a good team this year, they just played a bad game against another good team.

As for Ichabod Hostetler, he was the beneficiary of Otis Anderson, their offensive line, and the Giants (Belichik) defense.  The Bills were only blown out in two of those Super Bowls.  As much as I hated the ending of Super Bowl XXV, that was one of the most exciting games I've ever watched.

  2. Living in South Carolina in the seventies, I grew up a Steelers "fan".  Casually pulled for Boomer Esiason's Bengals in the late eighties until I watched the Bills-Browns playoff game in 1989.

Many of you probably remember that that hard fought game in which the Browns dodged a late bullet to hang on and advance... but man, did the Bills impress me.  That team was so much fun to watch and little did I know what excitement lay ahead.

I jumped on the bandwagon just in time as the 1990 season was a total blast and the beginning of the Super Bowl run.  I've been an addict ever since.

Again, I don’t think it’s as simple as you make it out to be.  There were a lot that went into the decision in 2017.  It’s not like the Bills we’re drafting a QB and chose someone else

Don't get me wrong... I'm not here saying Boo Bills for not drafting the kid.  I was not clamoring for the team to take Mahomes back then and I'm definitely not saying the Bills should have known better.

To some fans, the context of the trades and where the teams were then doesn't matter... the Chiefs have a great QB and we have a project QB.  It's a jealousy thing, pure and simple.  I think that the only cure for that jealousy is winning and seeing consistently good/great QB play in Buffalo.
