I thought a lot about it. I think some fans including myself got thinking maybe the grass is greener on the other side. To be honest the entire offence with Taylor at the wheel has had some stalled games this year and last. They also had some impressive and exciting games. It seemed like most games fell in the middle or slightly below an average. Not everyone needed the Nathan Peterman experiment. I did need it. I don't regret it. I would do it again the exact same way. At this point I would not try it again. Not because Nate threw 5 interceptions. I didn't see Nate flash himself as a player. Forget any negative and try to see a positive. I was not able to myself maybe others did. The experiment lead me to a conclusion. I like Tyrod Taylor. I like him a lot. The guy has been loyal, took a pay cut for my team and maybe not lived up to everyones standards but he was doing the best to win with the talent we have and the plays we run. I turned my back on Tyrod and I was very wrong. Now I'm left with the hard truth. It's more then just a QB. Call it lack of talent or bad execution. Call it bad coaching or horrible management. I don't know what caused such a hard fall after the Jets game but something is seriously wrong. Thanks for the wins though I enjoyed them. Well how I feel now you absolutely put Taylor back in. Not only that but you keep next year and build around Taylor and Shady with every draft pick you got. I understand if people disagree.

Despite being benched the man had his helmet on ready to come in. I would not be upset if he was our starter next year with the draft used to build around him. That is why I am happy he was benched. It really made me appreciate the guy a lot more when I seen the alternative. Also he was firing more bullets. It might of been a good wake up call to him to play safe but not so safe it's boring.

One thing that earned my respect for Tyrod Taylor is how he had his helmet on at the start of this game. Nate definitely made me appreciate Tyrods play a little bit more. I still wish he would just let the ball rip. I also still think we lose today if he started. This defense has completely fallen apart. I've been down on his play lately but I'm having second thoughts about him. Crazy thoughts about building around him next year....

Nate Peterman's performance against the Chargers
Lfod replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's how I felt as well. The game was over. Tyrod wasn't coming back from that far behind. It's an insult to both of them and yourself as a head coach. Titanic man go down with your ship. I wasn't mad he made a risky move that blew up in his face. I was mad that they pulled the kid like it would make a difference then throw in the guy you just benched in a game that's already over. -
Serious questions about McD now
Lfod replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He definitely has egg on his face today. Oh please don't count out the Carolina Panthers game in bad offensive games. It kinda bugs me that people mention NO like it was the only bad offensive game. We scored 3 points in that game. Yes the move to Peterman was a bad move and looks awful but I can understand why he tried it. Tyrod is the better Quarterback no doubt but he still got smacked and coughed the ball up himself today. -
It's easy to be right about the bills if you predict the worst outcome every time.

Nate Peterman's performance against the Chargers

I feel the same way. I was in favor of the change. That had to hurt his confidence. -
Well I appreciate Tyrod more now. I still don't think we win this game but Nathan rekindled my love for Tyrod man.

Nate Peterman's performance against the Chargers

It was bad move. Now everyone who said it was a bad move was right. I don't think it could of been worse for Nathan. I still don't think we win this game with Tyrod but I won't argue that. -
I was in favor with the move to start Nathan Peterman. As soon as they pulled him at the half it was over for him. It's back to Tyrod Taylor now.

Gameday Thread 1st Half Bills @ Chargers

Peterman Can!!!! -
I'm open for the debate if it was a good move or not to bench Tyrod after today's game. Nasty Nate will have a stat line to discuss. I was all in favor of benching Tyrod. I didn't even think they would have the back bone to risk that move. I won't say if it was a good or bad move because we are going on so many unknowns when it comes to Nate. We have Pre Season and 4rth quarter garbage time to judge it.

Anybody see the game we played the Carolina Panthers game we lost 9 to 3? Yea Taylor has those kind of games just saying.

What's your reaction if Peterman is terrible this Sunday
Lfod replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be his first NLF debut on the road in a must win game, after the team got destroyed in the last two games. I have tempered expectations. Unfortunately for him that is how it all worked out. I'm giving him just like I gave Tyrod the benefit of the doubt. My reaction will lean tword the negative if he plays multiple terrible games. -
[closed]Why the rush to Peterman this week......
Lfod replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this. I understand people still believe in Tyrod. I don't think that merits assuming Peterman won't cut it before he plays a game. At least be open minded to the idea it could happen. I love the move to Nate now but I won't say automatically that he plays better then Tyrod. -

It is a calculated risk. I don't think this was just audition for Nate or I think they would of waited like you suggested they do. They made the move because they think Nate is the best choice moving forward to win this next game. Saying it's a calculated risk is respectable because it's admitting it is a risk even if it was well thought over move. -
It was a TANK season all along - - get it !!!

Good points. They made a bunch of moves shifted themselves to have more ammunition in the draft while trying to keep a semblance of winning now. They actually did well and 5-2 was a reality and everyone loved it. A few moves they have been bold in my opinion and could backfire and possibly have already but I still respect the choices. If you like the new coach and general manager, and I do a lot. Then you understand they did pretty well with what they had. Short term pain for long term gain. I can understand people being upset having the hopes of breaking the drought dangled in front of them. I think I'll just keep an open mind and see overall how a lot of the choices they made pan out into next year. I would like the team to win on Sunday and at least the shift and QB will make it entertaining. I like this new front office. Good or bad they are making moves. It tells me that they will keep changing to be better. -
When Nate was being drafted I am sure he had certain teams he wanted to land on based on preference. Miami might of been one of those places.

Was the move at QB a good move or bad move?
Lfod replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my opinion it was the best move coach could of made. Before I give my reason let me say that I don't think Tyrod couldn't win the next game, but I do think it was very possible to lose with him in there as well. The season is on a thread. Yes you start the rookie. The most exciting thing in my last two weeks of football was a streaker and Nate coming into the game scoring a touchdown in garbage time. Let's be honest or at least in my view Tyrods game was getting boring. I want my football entertaining. I'm not the type to be upset when we lose but when we suck it's not entertaining. I was very entertained at 5-2 and was fine. If I was being honest though I felt all year that Tyrods game was kinda boring. He never truly lit the field up in dominant performance. Although I can't say the reason it's a good move is because Nate will play amazing. He could totally suck but it has that unknown mystery to it that will keep me entertained. Once you see that it was more for an entertainment standpoint you can agree with that move. I didn't think coach would do it right at the same time I would have. So I had already agreed with the choice before I was actually made. Only if I was coach, I've of done my trademark clap when I told him Nate was starting and we are now gonna win. Then we would look at Nate's garbage time film scoring the only TD of the game. -
I don't think your user name is a joke. In fact I have been a lurker on this board last two years and this is my first post. I see you take some heat because you had faith in Nathan Peterman for awhile and even if people said you were a troll I didn't think that. In fact I don't think your some guy that likes Nathan Peterman.... You are Nathan Peterman and this post totally gave it away to me. Good luck in the game Nate. I hope you have it in you to be great and make my nfl season more exciting.
