Tyrod injury: patella contusion, day-to-day
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand that. I was just saying the rook might not be horrible. That he will throw a ton of interceptions but the light might come on with repetition. Taylor made some good plays today. This offence isn't clicking as a unit enough for playoff caliber. We need an offence that can put up 21+ points more frequent. Honestly I'm just glad the defense is back to being solid. I think they played a good game and Tre White got his interception. -

Peterman threw some nice passes that shouldn't of been incompletions. The kid will struggle if you put him in but people will always be quick to want to move on. -
Tyrod injury: patella contusion, day-to-day
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod Taylor to me is an excellent back up quarterback and borderline starter. He made some good plays and he was the fault of some bad plays. Yea I think this injury could be the end of his season. We can't score points and it's embarrassing. -
Patriots 10000 Bills -7
-
I am just hoping the Bills stay competitive and not get blown out. Obviously I want the Bills would win. I would love that. I just don't think they win today. I think even if the defence plays really well and holds the Patriots to 14 or 17 points. I don't think our offense will put up 21 points or more.i see Bills offence putting up 10 or 13 points today. We will most likely 3 and out a lot and even if the defense holds up at first then eventually it will break down twords the end. So I don't think we hold the Patriots to 14 or 17. I'm thinking Patriots put up 28+ points on us today. I would like to see Tre White intercept Tom Brady. That will make me happy. Then I'll be sad when we don't get points on it. If the Bills want to win we need some turn overs. We also need the offence to put up 28+ points. I don't think it's happening. Patriots 41 Bills 16

Tre' White Doesn't Care About What Brady Has Accomplished
Lfod replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Tre White. If he's confident and wants to go out and get interceptions on Tom Brady I am all for it. He is aware of Tom Brady I am sure. I just like he's done well and wouldn't be shocked if he made some plays. At least that could be a bright spot vs Patriots. If he wants to focus on his accomplishments I respect it. Would not mind them building an entire team out of guys with that same mentality. I liked how hard he was on himself for his mistakes publicly even if they didn't need to be. To have the mentality that you could always be better and reflect. I won't mind being cocky if he backs it up. It's all good. -
2 Scenes From The Chess Game & I'm Unsure on Dennison
Lfod replied to BadLandsMeanie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks I needed this breakdown. I was really starting to loathe Dennison. Now I'm not as worried about his ability to do his job. I have been really enjoying your posts and opinions. I really enjoy when I can learn something from this board from intelligent posters. -
The Ultimate Bills Debate - Was Doug Whaley A Good GM?
Lfod replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly I would have liked to see what Sammy could do with Bills this year. I was turned off by his injury but it's the NFL and players get injured. Although I am neutral on Sammy I won't deny he makes a difference for the bills this year and if it was enough to break the drought you have to question it. Tre White replaced Darby but Zay Jones has not replaced Sammy. I feel like we have no true #1 to write home about that is fact. Dareus is a beast and I don't deny moving him hurt. He is worth more than a 6th round pick. I think moving him was part of the reason the defence fell off. I don't think replacing him is an easy thing. Sadly I think this is a pure money move and they just wanted to dump him and the contract. So my thoughts are if the new regime sacrificed wins this year then they better get them next year and make a serious playoff push. If they don't make that next year I will completely agree that they were horrible moves. Only just the other half of what those moves mean hasn't come to fruition yet. -
Apparently the offense is holding Tyrod back
Lfod replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am fully on board with going heavy on OL and DL in the draft. I don't think the people who want a QB are fools. Just people with wishful thinking. I think it's foolish to think you pick a QB and instantly the guys an elite franchise quarterback. I'm not in favor of trading up unless you can get into the #1 or #2 spot. 1.Draft a QB. 2.????? 3. Super Bowl!!!! -
The Ultimate Bills Debate - Was Doug Whaley A Good GM?
Lfod replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say borderline playoff team. It feels like easy playoff team is a bit strong of a statement in my opinion. We had those guys and I didn't see us make the playoffs with them. I liked Darby but Tre White is also nice. I'll agree that moving Darius hurt us but that was a money move. I can understand it if they use rescource efficiently. Sammy I won't comment on because I am not debating potential. I think it's to early to know if SM will pass or fail. Even after the moves we had a 5-2 start. I know that doesn't mean much now. I don't see a very big difference between this year and last. It was the same feeling as last year maybe if we win some games we could possibly maybe sneak in at wildcard. Still seem to be hovering around 500. They have accumulated rescource by sacrifice and it hurts now. It didn't seem to hurt as bad as people make it out to be. I have to give the benefit of the doubt until the moves they made become more clear in the next year. -
Tyler Dunne: "Dennison Stays and Tyrod Goes"
Lfod replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly don't assume it. It's just something I said so it wasn't used as a counter point to the one I was attempting to make. Obviously in that situation I let Tyrod fire some shots if I was in charge. -
Tyler Dunne: "Dennison Stays and Tyrod Goes"
Lfod replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My point wasn't about winning or losing as much as stradegy. Tyrod may not be a lot of things but from most accounts he doesn't turn the ball over. Would taking shots to secure the game be any less risky than punting it back to your opponent with plenty of time to operate? Chances are the passes would of been incomplete but that really wasn't my point either. If your stradegy is a good one I imagine you would rather put the game away sooner then later. We basically just said screw it punt it away because we are to timid. We won the game but if it had ended in a loss that would of been a strong talking point. If this is the stradegy moving forward I just have a strong feeling it's going to cost us wins in the future. -

I try to stay positive about the team with an understanding that this team is going through several changes. Out of everything that happened this year that was the only situation that left me disgusted. I might just be reading to much into it but that was the only thing that actually made me lose some hope for the next year. -

I think the end of the Chiefs game told me all I needed to know. You posses the ball and with a few minutes remaining in the game you are holding on to a slipping lead. At that point you are in control. You can grind clock to leave no time if your forced to punt or you can secure a victory if your aggressive and score a touchdown. Instead it was decided to just be conservative and get stuffed on 3 runs only taking 12 seconds off the clock. You could of at least attempted to be serious and take shots to move the chains with a QB known for not turning the ball over. You gave the Chiefs a chance to come back and win the game. That's all it took for me. It's not just a certain player but a lack of balls in a philosophy. You wanna be playoff caliber you don't just play to win. You play to dominate and embarrass the opposition. You don't make it to the big show just meeting expectations. It's hard to look mean and serious when you tuck tail and run or curl up in a ball and just take hits. -
Bills will win if they DON'T play not to lose.
Lfod replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem I have with the Bills being conservative is that the runs get stuffed and the passes are short. They don't score and then give the opponents the ball with plenty of time to score. I have not seen them grind out the clock and sustain drives when playing conservative with a lead at the end of a game. It's just a quick 3 stuffed runs and a punt and asking your defense to create more stops then they should have to. This is a game they most likely lose so I agree they play like they down 21 points the entire game. Getting stuffed 3 times in a row for no gain isn't conservative football. I don't know what you call it. It's just bad all day. Might as well just punt on first down. -
Again the need for 300 yards Passing/game
Lfod replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can agree with a lot you said. In fact when Tyrod got benched I felt the same. I felt the defense was the reason we won and even the turn overs they produced we're not capitalized. In the game against the Chiefs the bills got the ball tword the end with a chance to bleed clock and maybe score. Instead they decided to run 3 times and get stuffed only taking 12 seconds of the clock. The only thing I think this team "needs" is to never be like that again. You can't hand the ball back and give opponents another chance when you have the opportunity to take the game out of reach and steal all the time left. The difference is how we come to the conclusion of why this offence has struggled. It sounds like you think Taylor is the weak link and I don't think it all rest on him. I think it's a lack of aggression in offensive philosophy as a whole. -
Lawson was Benched, was he another first round bust?
Lfod replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I always want the best outcome in every situation. The team is going through a lot of change. You have to do what you can to establish your place as Head Coach of a team. I can only trust the process. I have no other choice. I think what is clear to me is the new coach and general manager have a direction with the team. They sacrificed for the future and focused on defense. They just kept pieces on offense to keep it entertaining. At 5-2 he looks golden so they spend picks to get a wide receiver for Tyrod and make a push. The defense implodes and Tyrod doesn't use new wide receiver and is benched. Then he goes with Nate and he uses him once and injury happens. I looks to me like a long term planning and win now direction. I give them credit for all the moves and still ending up looking good. I didn't like the defensive collapse but they were basically winning all the games. -
Speculation: is this McCoy's last year with the Bills?
Lfod replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't explain it but I had a strange feeling about the team moving on from Shady. I love shady but I get a feeling they want a large powerfull back that can just push forward. It might just be because I want that as well. Shady is a pro and works hard. So I'm not negative on him at all. I like elusive running backs I just rather have a guy that can power through then a guy that has to dance to get free and risk being caught behind the line. -
How do we pull the impossible and beat the Pats?
Lfod replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate the Patriots. I wouldn't hate them as much if they were not always top in the division. I wouldn't hate them as much if they were not always a lock to win games and win Superbowls. I could respect what they have done but I'm a Bills fan so I can't. I don't think we can beat them now. Beating the Patriots every year has to be a focus. When we are competitive with the Patriots for the division every year then you know we finally have a playoff caliber team. You want playoffs you have to beat the Patriots. It should be on wristbands worn all year long. -
I'll be back.

Thanks I was looking through a dictionary and was failing hard. Thanks for stepping in.

Turning our KC Pick into a top 5 pick?
Lfod replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think many people said it was historic. Nate's is historic!!! -
It doesn't bother me. I do agree that it's kinda pointless on a good play that doesn't really effect the outcome. Like you just make a game changing play that brought your team from losing to winning. Then it looks good. When you make a good play but your team's still down by multiple scores it kinda looks dopey to celebrate like you just won the game. I think it comes down to time and place to celebrate. So I halfway agree with the op. I think celebration can be over done and misplaced but I'm not against it.
