Tyrod was a back up QB that has a few special talents. He can escape a lot of pressure. He can get a first down with his legs sometimes. In a QB desperate year I can see why you would bring a guy like Tyrod to the team and see if he can rise to the next level. At the very least he can hold things together. This year it didn't work out for Tyrod. They didn't bench him because he was at the level they wanted. Doing the things they wanted. I don't know his future. I just see him as a backup quarter back with some natural talent that could make him great if he could transition. After a few years you figure the experiment is over. This was the year for Tyrod Taylor. The defense was primed to keep him in every game. You only have to score more then 10 points to win a playoff game. He didn't want it bad enough. He wanted to play like a back up and manage the game and not play like a champion. The other quarter back played like trash but he made it work enough to beat the Bills because the offense could only score 3 points. I don't think you plan having Tyrod start next year. I could only see him as a back up now.

I think Tyrod took some unnecessary hits to his helmet. At least it looked that way. Tyrod is tough I wouldn't like taking those hits.

If Dennison is brought back will you still trust the process?

Honestly the offense is sad. I won't point fingers because I am no expert. I just wouldn't want to roll that out again. I am all in favor of whatever the answer is to get a more productive offence. -
Jalen Ramsey's Game Clinching "Interception"
Lfod replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't complain because the refs gave us a favorable spot for a first. I can't remember the exact play but it was a shady run and I felt we got lucky on the spot. -
Nate hasn't had a good introduction to the NFL. I was rooting for him myself. I don't know his future but I didn't have to wait for an answer on how he would be in a game this year. He's not ready to start yet. I'd be scared of him getting killed if I had to put him out there. I wouldn't write him off yet but I am not filled with confidence either. I could ride a rookie season. I could deal with 50 interceptions if it meant Peterman was gonna develop into a brand name. Peterman is a piece I might keep around to see what develops but I wouldn't be ready to start him next year. I am ready and willing to ride out a rookies season of struggle. I might grow to hate that dude. It still would be worth it to keep trying until the light turns on for a candidate. If I'm Coach then I keep trying guys in my system until one fits.

You ever work at a job that you have to be on a team? All day at my job people complain about others they work with.

I think defense was part of his benching. I'll ride that horse till it dies.

I think Tyrod was a backup QB with abilities that made him interesting for a QB desperate team to try as a starter.

I think Tyrod should be thankful for getting a chance to showcase himself as a starter in the NFL. I think as a player he was given enough time and opportunity to prove he is more then just a back up QB. I respect Tyrod but I just don't think he deserves a huge thank you. I'd give him a word of encouragement for giving the team his best efforts. I reserve my thank you to show gratitude when some one actually does something I can be thankful for. I'm not thankful for 3 points against the Jags. That isn't something I can appreciate. I wonder how the defence feels about getting to the playoffs to hold the opponent to 10 to lose anyway. I think he should thank the Defense for making every game winnable and give an apology for letting it go to waste.

I don't think the Jags destroyed us. I think the offense was so bad that we lost because of it. I would rather blame the offense then credit St. Doug.

I just woke up not to long ago. Reading some Bills forums to get me pumped up. I'm proud of the team. It was a rough year but it was playoff caliber. It's at least providing evidence that the team is moving in a positive direction. It would be nice for the Bills to use that momentum swing to win today.

Mike Golic Jr. Wants to Join Bills Mafia

Do you have a Bills jersey in your heart? -
I was in favor of benching Tyrod. Even though we would disagree at the time, I like the way you present your view. I think even though you thought it was premature and you were correct, that you could understand why the move was made even though you didn't like it. At least I get that impression. That's all I could ever ask for. Yes those in favor of starting Peterman at the time turned out to be wrong. I just feel people should have an understanding of why the move was made. That's the thing I think some people are missing. I just hope that people would keep an open mind and entertain the idea that it could of possibly turned out different.

Power Struggle in New England between Kraft, Brady & Belichik

I agree with you completely. I think it's exactly how it all played out. I think it will also come back to haunt them. I hope... -
Which player steps up this Sunday?
Lfod replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll give him credit if he throws for 3 to 4 touchdowns regardless of outcome. Not gonna give him credit for a touchdown and driving for a field goal then the offense disappears in the second half. Tyrod doing what it takes is leading the offense down field and getting 3 or 4 touchdowns. I can't expect the defense to hold Jags to 7 or 14 points if thier offense is on the football field all game. Like capitalize on turn overs. Don't just 3 and out all day if the defence is holding strong. At the very least take time off the clock and grind the game out and give the Jags less opportunity to try different things until they figure something out. -
I'm still waiting on the Tyrod can song. What would you say about the Panthers game? No one ever responded to that and I've brought it up so many times. Did we even score a touchdown against the Pats? I don't hate the choice to see what we had in Tyrod. I don't hate the choice to see what we had in Peterman. I don't hate any choice anyone makes to improve the situation even if it doesn't work out. An error isn't an error until you refuse to correct it. None of you guys ever take a risk and fail? Never fell off your bike after trying to do a trick or get rejected by a girl trying to see if you can get anywhere? Everything went perfect your whole life?

It was an epic disaster of epic proportions. It was so bad it was comical. What I am saying mostly is that the season looked to be slipping away. It wasn't trending well in my view. It wasn't just the 3 game slide either. It was the Panthers game and generally the offense wasn't impressive. When the defense went away for 3 games the offense couldn't pick up the slack like the defense did for the offense in games. I mean turn overs rained and the offense was getting field goals or nothing. I think that's the part your missing. The loss of hope. The rise of doubt. Nothing was a lock anymore. It wasn't 5-2 anymore. Even when it was 5-2 I'd say a very large part was the defense. I can't credit all the wasted turn overs. I can credit them to holding teams to low scores. I don't think anyone would say your wrong that Peterman blew it. If you step back and look at the entire picture you would see the situation was getting desperate. Desperate times might call for desperate measures. Just maybe consider people were getting desperate and wanted to put hope into something new when there was doubt in the status quo. We didn't get the Peterman can song because Tyrod was balling. Heck we in the playoffs and I still don't see the Tyrod can song. Sure Peterman can't. Tyrod wasn't either. It was a battle of the worse QB and Peterman won by a solid mile. Just some of us needed to see that battle and some didn't.

The Peterman starting situation is over. It's ok to let go. It's ok for some one to have an opinion. It didn't cost the coach his job did it? It didn't cost of the playoffs did it? Almost what happened doesn't matter. I think everyone can agree after the fact that it was a bad move. I just find it very dishonest to say without a doubt that people had the crystal ball telling them about 5 picks in the future. They made a calculated risk it failed miserable. If you can't appreciate some one taking a risk to be better then that's you. That's not everybody and your not the authority on it. Your just a guy with an opinion so speaking in absolutes does nothing for your cause. The offense didn't play well. Did you watch the Panthers game? Something like 3 points on offence. The offense couldn't score one touchdown to win the game. Your ok with that and that's fine. Preach. Go fire the coach man, I believe in you. People play the lottery take and make gambles. It's only stupid if you lose but not everyone does. There are millionaires out there made with luck.

I still stay neutral on Tyrod. He can scramble for 10 yards. He can also dance around until getting sacked for 10 yards. He can make some throws and he can miss some throws. He can be exciting and boring. I give him credit, he is a class act and is a tough player. I see you guys debating and I think both sides of the Tyrod division make great points. That's why I don't take sides by find myself on both sides of the divide at times. He took a pay cut and was benched mid season. He also was the QB when the Bills made the Playoffs. That is why I stay neutral on him. People trash him to hard sometimes. People defend him to much at times. I'm critical but keep respect. All that being said the offense looked very bad this year in my opinion and all my praise goes to defense. I don't care what direction the team takes next year. Build around Tyrod or bring in some one else. Just make the offense better and less boring.

It's like asking some one about an ex girlfriend when you been broken up with her for years and your dating some one new for a few years. We will see who the hotter girl is Sunday. I hope it's the Bills.

Enough's enough - This team went 9-7......

McLegend came down from the clouds and caused it to rain after 17 years of no rain. I was thirsty and now I drink. I swim. I bathe in it. -
Tyrod made some amazing throws this year. He can also pick up first downs with his legs sometimes. I only wish it was with more frequency.
-
At first I was really supportive. Wanted him to take it to the next level and really believed he could. This year I became skeptical of him. I doubted him. I never trashed him. Wasn't ever critical without acknowledging that he could flash greatness. I just never thought it would be enough. I wasn't always happy with him. I don't always think I'll be happy with him in the future if he sticks around but he was the quarter back to make it rain on the drought and for that I thank him. He is a Playoff QB. Now I want the bar set higher for him. You lead a team to playoffs but its time to take the next step and win the Superbowl.

Careful man he seems super edgy. Don't need to trigger a Peterman rant in his dear diary.
