I thought Eagles may sell high. Good move for them I applaud it. The Bills testing the waters isn't all that bad if it was them. So straight up Eagles saying no your paying what we pay for stuff. I can't hate them for it. We will see if they get a first for thier backup QB. If they make bank I could only respect it. I don't know how good the guy is but he did win the Superbowl so that has a power to it. It should increase cost. As for the Bill maybe they are in that market to get a competent play for a 2nd round or a 1st. Russ Brandon is all over it. That's us baby. We the Bills. We get the backups. Don't be surprised.

Rotoworld- Giants leaning away from QB @ #2
Lfod replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Browns talking trade down, Giants thinking RB. I'm starting to think something stinks. -
Which of you has a fetish to work in a morgue?
Lfod replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wouldn't call it a fetish but I wanna work at a morgue. After living with living people and wishing they would die, my life would be so much better if the people I'm forced to work around are already dead. -
I would put myself into the reluctant to trade up category. The team says it now wants to build through the draft and in time I will learn what that means to them. I'm under the impression there probably won't be any mayjor trade up unless it's very convenient for the Bills. I just don't think you can build through the draft if you spend all your capital on one guy. I'm not against moving up for a QB if you really feel he will be elite. I also am not against trading into a better position for a QB next year if it made more sense. I'll find out soon enough but I just don't see them trading up for a QB. I think they let the draft fall to them. I don't think they will reach. I think they will draft a QB at the appropriate time and hope they hit.

I wouldn't be done. I wouldn't even be upset. I would be a little shocked honestly. If it really happens then I have to believe that it was the best option. Then I'll just be excited to see what happens. Then really the only two ways I can feel during the season is excitement and disappointment. If it was Tyrod and he lit it up so I could get more excitement then feeling disappointed I could be happy with that. If he struggles to much to the point the offense is kind of embarrassment again then obviously I can't get excited about that. I don't wanna just hang in games if the defense is stealing the ball away. It's a waste of effort. Oh and never ever again let Bortles beat you at something you are supposed to be known for in a playoff game. That should be the final nail but time will tell I guess. Take the potential to score 3 point games and turn into a potential to score 37 point games. If you bring Tyrod to start next season and you still putting up 3 point games it looks very bad. I'm confident Tyrod won't be back unless they absolutely believe they can make it work because you can't bench him next season without looking mega stupid and probably get fried by media. I think the coach knows he can't double down on Tyrod again if he can't get better results. If he benched him already I'm sure he has serious doubts. If he can't commit now then he has doubts. Why would you ever start a guy that fills you with that much doubt. My money says he doesn't. He has already moved on from a lot of players. The HC will bring in the best competition at QB he can an Tyrod is automatically at the bottom of that list under Peterman starting out.

I never thought the team was all that far along. I'm glad it was acknowledged by coach. To be honest the coach hasn't had the team long enough . The HC is bold and has a vision. I really like the guy. I really hope the best for Sean McDermott. I really do believe he is trying to bring a winning culture to Buffalo. * He ran training camp so hard that players started fighting and saying they were sick of hitting each other. * I read camp reports on this message board that they were doing drills in training camp not seen before. * He shipped out players he didn't think fit culture or just didn't fit the team. He set him self up for the future. *After everything that happened the team still made the playoffs after a long time. Even if it was luck I'll take it. I'll take a lucky coach over a bad one! *He benched Tyrod Taylor. He did it exactly at the time I wanted him to. I don't care about the result because I understand why he did it. He wants to win. The ugly of the season was the offense. I give credit for bringing in Kelvin Benjamin and benching Tyrod at least trying to fix it. You need to score points and the team needs an offence that has a potential to put up 21+ score games more frequently. The offence is the part of the team that isn't far along. I hope they find an identity as a unit. Truthfully not gonna be shocked or all that upset if the team doesn't make the playoffs next year. I definitely will be excited and hopeful that the team does. Make it to the McSuper Bowl

I like Tyrod Taylor alot. I wish he had a more success in Buffalo. I held out hope but it just wasn't getting done. I don't know exactly why and I'm no expert but last year I would have to think the offense was kinda bad. The reason I agree that Tyrod Taylor is done in Buffalo is because they benched him. You don't bench your QB unless he is doing something to make you want to bench him. He got a rookie killed publicly because he wanted to bench Tyrod that bad. I don't think coming back into the game meant anything except Peterman couldn't last out there at that point. I don't think feelings change that easy. I don't think they make a move like that unless they are in a panic because what is happening isn't working. I bet if Peterman could of lasted in games and wasn't 5 interceptions not ready he would of stayed out there. I don't hate Tyrod and have no agenda when I agree Tyrod isn't starting next year. If they could build the offense around him and it was more productive I would be all for that. People can disagree that the benching wasn't a big deal. I just trust this coach is serious and benching Tyrod was serious to him. I could be wrong. I do think the benching was the end of him but if that didn't do it I am sure it was the Playoff game that sealed the deal. I would be shocked honestly if Tyrod started for the Bills next year. I really don't care if it happens I just want more production please. I just don't think it is happening based completely on a benching.

Baker Mayfield won’t attend NFL draft
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So like is he gonna not show up or come in late for team practices? I'm convinced to not draft him now. He is off my board. P.S. He was late for the Senior Bowl. -

The Bills NEED to go all in on getting Saquan Barkley
Lfod replied to SAFTB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it would be ideal to make this guy your entire draft. I could see it making sense if the Bills had a high enough pick to just make it happen. I don't think starting RB for the Bills is a top priority right now. We have Shady so I don't think the Bills are desperate in that area enough to leap for one. If we had a high enough pick without trading or he fell to us then I could maybe join in agreement. We definitely don't need to go all in. Shady isn't hot garbage. It would make more sense to say if this guy is still around for our first pick the Bills shouldn't let him pass by. Plus until we get a passing game he would just be stacked against just like Shady was. I think the priority is passing game. I think it would be nice to have a passing game in Buffalo. This guy would have to be elite enough to win with the deck stacked against him, at least while our passing offense is so poor. -
The HC ran traning camp so hard that fights broke out and people started complaining because they were sick of hitting each other. A guy on here reported seeing things in camp he never seen them do. The defensive HC had the defense stealing the ball away 13% of the time the opponent had possession of the football. When the offense was terrible the HC took a risk and benched the QB for a rookie. The HC also shipped out everyone that didn't worship the process. The guy is serious and I'm all in. He was the HC to break the drought. Even if he was just lucky I'll take it. I'll take a lucky HC. The only real question mark in my mind is the offensive side of the ball. What happened on that side of the ball has me seriously questioning competency.

The responsibility to convey the information you want the members of this board to be receptive of is yours. If you want a post taken seriously you have to put more effort into it. It would of been better if you got more specific with the information you wanted to share. Make this guy on the radio rich because he said some things that touched my heart was the entire post. I don't know what he said. I don't wanna do the work to look it up. I would have taken interest if you actually wrote out the things he said you liked and put the effort in. You would of received better responses.

I kinda like the scene from Liar Liar when Jim Carrey beats himself up in the bathroom. Honorable mention at least.

I'm with you. I seen a lot of wrong in this video. It just goes to show emotions over rule everything in crisis situations.

So does that give us another option to speculate on?

I missed all the links and tweets about people donating to Tyrod's charity. I spaced out there for a minute.

I give Peterman credit for going into a game on short notice. I also give Peterman credit for being fearless. The guy went down swinging. He was gonna sink or swim and not be content floating around. I respect that. I wasn't impressed with him diving head first and getting himself K.O. I think the defensive player dropped early for a head shot hidden by snow but Peterman is at fault for putting himself at risk. Welcome to the NFL they will kill you. The interception thing wasn't a big deal to me. I was expecting struggle but hoping for some good plays and maybe move the chains. I won't argue with people. The 5 interceptions is kind of hard not to acknowledge. I also seen him make some big boy throws. Peterman has to be aware and not put himself at risk or I wouldn't even get enough time to evaluate him before he is knocked out of a game. That's a scary thought. He has to make it through a game to be able to evaluate him. If he kept making those big boy throws I could live with the interceptions as long as over time they became less frequent and he was landing more strikes through the air. I wouldn't be afraid to throw him back out there. If there is no locked starter why not? What do I have to lose. I'll keep trying guys and I'll look stupid until I hit. I'll go down swinging. That's why Peterman would get more chances if it we're me. I'd also realize that if I put him out there again he might not last long. If he gets killed every time I put him out there to the point it's embarrassment for him and myself I would have to stop my hopes for him and move on. I mean the offence he was asked to go in and run also had like 56 yards in a game and 3 point games so an awfully lot was being asked of a rookie and not everyone will acknowledge that.... I wish Tyrod would of went down swinging. Then I wouldn't be such an advocate for moving on. I'd rather see you fight and lose then run around in circles and get beat up anyway. That's what happened at tword the end of the Jags game. Got him K.O. too.

I'm with you. I understand that. Leaning into the playoffs is a good sign of things to come and I enjoyed it. If I was being honest my hype for the game was a lot more then the actual excitement I received watching that Playoff game. Making the playoffs was more memorable then the actual game. I don't see how you could disagree. To be honest I found it to be a boring playoff game. It was a special boring playoff game but still boring. It reminded me of the game the Bills played the Panthers. A defensive game that the offense couldn't be productive. To be honest it kind of reminded me of a majority of the Bills games. Defence was strong and office sometimes showed up. I kinda had that game predicted in my head but I was wrong about the Dolphins games. Yes Bortles out played Tyrod at his own game. I 100% believe that. Offense has some good games, the defense had some bad games. If I scaled it out I would say the defense stole the ball away 13% of the time the opponent faced them with the ball in thier possession. The defense in my opinion was the largest factor in my opinion. So for a moment let's forget who is to blame. Let's not point the blame. To be blunt the offense was boring in my opinion. A lot of safe play little action. The defense was excited. Defense go get the ball back. Ok do it again. Ok offence score.... Ok we will get it next time right? So please believe me when I say I have hope for any player on offense. I want them to be good. Plus please forgive me if I'm skeptical about holding on to any of the offensive players besides Shady moving forward. I get a little stupid and to harsh on players sometimes but 3 points multiple times in a year just looks bad on everyone that played a role in it. On Topic: Yea Zay was not a great receiver on a not great offense. Zay was bad but nothing was good.

I wouldn't mind them taking a very serious shot at a cost. I wouldn't even hate them if that took that serious shot if ended up costing them. I do think that QB is the important position. I don't think a good QB without a good system and plan around him is 100% gonna change a team into a contender, but I do respect how important of a position it is. As for what I think they really do I am not sure. I understand that coming into the team the new staff took a conservative approach. I'm sure they attempted to do the best with what that had situation. I'm just not sure if they will take little steps like they have been or actually firing off all the ammunition to land that QB of the future. Obviously better to draft one and mold them instead of searching free agency in my opinion. I'd like our franchise QB to be raised in Buffalo. I just see them having to sacrifice getting help for next season from the draft for something that won't be immediately next season. Rookie QBs have started early and worked but you know what I mean. I'm ok with them doing that, I just wondering how committed they are. I haven't ruled anything out. I'm just leaning twords the thought they may try to do a balancing act instead of taking the plunge. I'm definitely curious about it. Leaning into the playoffs counted for me. It was at least an inch past what it's been. It's a good sign of things to come. I really hope we have landed a front office that can run a system that can actually last.
