Coaches vs players. Which is more responsible for poor play?
Lfod replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your only as strong as your weakest link right? I always blame the weak links in the chain. -
Watkins, Woods, 6-100, 6-81. Benjamin, Jones, 2-19, 2-63

You make good points. It looks like the mentality was to clean up in the first few seasons. I didn't see the tank coming in the second season but I understand it. It doesn't mean that they are not aware of the situation and it has always been part of the game plan. You as a fan are not happy about it but I respect it. It is frustrating to see your team get destroyed. I think it will all make sense in a few seasons or it will crash and burn and the owners hit the reset button again. We are in a tank season I think. -

Is Doug Marrone a better coach than Sean McDermott?
Lfod replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Peterman starting is a testament to the staff wanting to take it slow and develop Josh knowing the offense is just not good enough for a rookie to develop. It's a hard truth to swallow. It was nice seeing Josh throw a touchdown pass. I would have liked to see him start with a better foundation around him but that is not happening now. -

St. Doug showed potential in Buffalo. He stuck to his guns and left a team he felt he couldn't be successful working for. He took a lesser position on another team ended up being HC again and you can't argue with the results so far. I would say that Doug definitely has a place in the NFL as a HC. I would predict his seat is safe for awhile and when it's not other seats will be available for him. Sean McDermott is another first time HC just like Doug was when he started. The team held about the same record but managed to break the drought. I can't answer the question. It's easy to hate on Sean McDermott because of how the team looks right now. I'm definitely dissapointed in the defense considering that's his specialty and that is where the rescources went. Sean Definitely isn't as established as Doug is at the moment. I don't think he has proven he has earned a seat in the NFL as a HC yet. I believe in Sean McDermott still. I'll let a bad season slide. Especially if Josh Allen can develop in the mess. -
McBeane gave Peterman his shot....
Lfod replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL is a tough place. All Peterman was doing was trying to win. It didn't work out for him and that is to bad. It would of been nice if he could have gotten some success but clearly that isn't happening. Look at the bright side Nate Peterman in a way will always be legend, unless somebody else decides to make a worse debut into the NFL. I legitimately feel bad for Nate but it's Allen time and all I can do is hope for the best with the next experiment at QB. -
Confirmed: Bills to start rookie QB Josh Allen vs. Chargers

Josh is the better athlete. He has shown he can be elusive at times. I hate to say it but Josh may want to take a Tyrod approach to the game and just survive. When they pulled Peterman a second time I had a strong feeling it would lead to Allen starting. I am going to try to hype myself up and hope for the best. I want to believe. -

I think your over thinking it. Not saying your wrong. Just consider the offense was kinda trash last year and it still will be until proven different. I guess while people are blaming scape goats I didn't see anything different than Rick Dennison or Tyrod to me in that Ravens game. The only difference was instead of moving forward it went in reverse while stalling. You might not think they have an interest in saving face knowing that. It's obvious it isn't working and starting Josh Allen is just the team throwing up thier hands and saying screw it. I believe McDermott when he says he is learning. Starting Josh Allen now will teach him something and we will find out the lesson soon. I don't hate the team for exploring all options. They thought maybe they could swing it with Peterman being conservative. It failed. -

I hope he keeps that competitive fire burning because players in the NFL are going to be out to embarrass him. I feel bad for Peterman but he had a few more starts than most people needed to see. -
It definitely was. I also think the Ravens game plan worked well against us. They showed a replay when Allen was in and showed the receivers well covered. They said it had been like that a lot in the game. I won't make excuses for Peterman but I don't think he was getting any help either. He obviously didn't wanna throw 5 interceptions and got desperate as the game went on taking bad shots risking it anyway. It didn't work out in that game that's for sure.

Nobody should be doubting Beane or McDermott
Lfod replied to SoCoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I support McDermott. I support Bean. I am fully on board with a meltdown and rebuild. I am definitely still very unhappy with the product I seen against the Ravens. I hope McDermott and Bean are as well. Im ok with a bad team. I'm not ok with a team that goes on to the field and beats itself. You can't go backwards on that many offensive drives. It's an embarrassment when they experiment with Lamar Jackson against you and then get to fully feature him. It's an embarrassment for the other team to be that far ahead relaxing on the other side. Your not in the stadium to give the other team a good time. It was in my eyes almost a complete meltdown of epic scale. I really wasn't impressed with the defense until it started coming alive some. I seen a lot of close plays that could of been made. It might not be as bad as it looked that day on the defensive side. I do however believe the Offense was exposed completely. Even if you take out a lot of drives went backwards, nobody was making plays. No run game and no air game. No trickery or confusion in the game plan. At least Josh Allen is cut throat. I applaud that he tackled that guy who tried to body check him on the sideline. I liked that he just made the play himself because no one got open. Great slide at the end for Josh. -
Well not backing Nate as a starter is telling enough I think.

Nike is taking a grass roots movement and using it as a marketing campaign to make money. It isn't about shining a light on the topic. It's using the topic to shine a light on this brand. I don't agree with it but you have to be cut throat in business to win.
