You are getting confused............Flores is the local NYC guy not Daboll..........Flores is from Brooklyn. Buffalo is like 380 miles from the Meadowlands. Pittsburgh is closer.
And Flores has had back to back winning seasons as an NFL HC.........just finished last season 8-1 over the last 9. Daboll has been fired 3x as an NFL OC and never been a HC at any level.
On paper.........it's no contest who is the more "deserving candidate".
It simply comes down to the GM hiring who he's most comfortable with. Which is reality and everyone knows that this is usually how it works, regardless of race. But when some f*cking HC on another team, who is also white, knows who the HC of the Giants is going to be before they've even had interviews that is a really, really bad look...........even if it ultimately is just a longtime friend in Mara consulting with Belichick. It just looks like:
I just want to make it clear I never said Daboll was more qualified than Flores. Hell as sucky as it is this situation, I’m selfishly glad he’s out of Miami he had me worried they were going to be a powerhouse soon.
im saying like you mentioned before hand. Daboll was a hot candidate (so it’s not some random head scratcher) I’d still call decently local compared to others…. But most importantly once the bills assistant GM was hired, at least in my opinion it was pretty clear Daboll would be going there too…

Continuity? Yeah thats something. Josh Allen endorsed him, Ok they like each other. If I had a friend or someone I was close with I want to work with him too.
I'm fine with promotions from within the organization. But continuity and Allen likes him mean Nothing game time!!
If the bills are facing a defense thats giving us trouble, Will Dorsey be able to scheme around that and make on the spot changes?? Is Dorsey a creative thinker as far as Xs and Os? I'm not talking trick plays and wild cat. I'm assuming hes going to have his own complete new playbook??
I guess its a gamble either way, but I dont want our offense to drop off because were giving a first timer a shot.
I understand your point but apparently 6 NFL teams were looking at him for their OC position. More importantly if Daboll was trying to bring him over to NJ, I would imagine Daboll who worked closest with him would have a good sense, or at least helped teach him how to elevate to coordinator.

Daboll had an interview the other day on Good Morning Football. I heard the interview when it happened. I thought nothing of it. Some people here want to raise pitchforks and read into things.
Daboll was asked about Daniel Jones in comparison to Allen. In short it sounded like he wants to see what Jones has, that he has some similarities to Josh and that 'it took a village to improve Josh.' All of that is true.
Matt Barkley/ Jordan Palmer/ Ken Dorsey/ Brian Daboll and most importantly Josh Allen all helped Josh get to where he is.
I took it to mean Jones is raw and will need help from a number of people to tap his potential. Much ado about nothing, and people reading into things in a weird day and rough start to the offseason for the Bills and the NFL.
I actually took it more as Daboll not trying to take all the credit for Josh, essentially saying its not like it was just his doing. Either way I agree people are blowing it way out of proportion

This is why the Rooney Rule is a joke. It was pretty obvious once Bills assistant GM went to Giants that Daboll would be the favorite - "local" guy with family in the area and already a highly thought of HC candidate across the league it just made sense. But if Giants dont interview a black candidate they get penalized, however if they interview a black candidate even when they already know their guy and its not quite "genuine enough" boom lawsuit. As others pointed out though, IF it can be proven Phins management were trying to throw games - that to me is a huge issue.
One thing I just thought of today. With the new rules to encourage minority coordinators becoming HC. I wonder if it would backfire in some cases? Obviously there is now a big incentive to push a minority coordinator to HC somewhere for the draft picks. Do you think maybe a team in the conference would look at that and say "well I sure dont want to give a rival 2x third round draft picks...." For instance people discuss Eric Bienemy should be HC somewhere, but I wonder if a team like the Phins would go "ehhh I dont really want to give the Chiefs a couple extra decently high draft picks." Hell, same with the Bills and Frazier...I am not saying its the right thing to think about, I just wonder if this is something some teams would think about when it comes up?

Not having Tyreek back there kind of tells me that KC was not going to try a return and kill the clock. No matter where they got the ball it was going to be immediately downed and they had 3 timeouts
I mean, I would take them downing the ball at the 15 yard line instead of the 25...

If everyone is being honest with themselves here, the 2021 Buffalo Bills Defense was NOT the best defense in the league. Yes they were good and statistically they topped the charts. It helps to play the Jets and Dolphins twice, the falcons and the jags. I believe a new Coordinator would change schemes and breathe new life into a Defense that looked helpless last night. The talent is there to have played the chiefs much better and have won that game.
Dont forget WFT and Texans.... Even that powerhouse Steelers offense

Only way that play would have been better is if it was a no gain sweep

Hopefully Daboll gets the Giants job

Agree. Get him off the field. He's the worst player on the 53 man roster. Would rather see another WR or Doyle
weird considering he was graded well vs pats and was his most snaps all season

That Nikki Minaj song that everyone got up in arms about just happened within the last couple of years.
I didnt realize your last post referred to the Nikki Minaj song... my mistake
And yes there is a difference between "couples sharing a bed in a sitcom" to some of the songs available to children openly talking in depth about "activities." Im not gonna quote or say more about whats said because I am not sure if it will cause an infraction here... in examples like this personally as an adult I dont care, but if you want to argue parents sharing a bed vs a song like WAP being played at middle school dancing, thats for a different forum

It's just the inconsistency that drives me crazy. "Don't tell me what to do" while at the same time telling me what to think.
Thinking is something one does ya know...
I mean some of your examples your lumping in is from 30+ years ago. Times and opinions do change over time....

Man I know Beane takes heat for some of our Dline additions, but not paying big money to Shaq and J-Phil are proving smart

I was actually hoping that the Chargers would win last night and have to come to Buffalo, but after watching that game last night, I'm glad we get Mac Jones. Herbert was making insane plays in that game
I keep seeing this. Herbert has been a stud, but I watched the game and for every fantastic throw/play he whiffed on 3 right before hand which is partially why there was so many clutch fourth down conversions.
I’m not even trying to knock Air-bear here, just seems like people only saw what they want to see and not the misses or miss-comms. We eat Josh alive for missing deep (low completetion chance) open receivers. Herbert missed like 3 on final drive where he threw the ball OB or too far and no one bats an eye.
