Why is it impossible, and I'm not saying he is, I disagree with him on this. However, why is it impossible that a fan could be smarter than the people who run these franchises? They're essentially glorified gym teachers for the most part.

There's a big difference between trading up and swinging for the fences versus just being stupid in the amount your giving up being too much. If this is lost on you, then you just have some weird hate, maybe jealously of WGR hosts. He said the same thing about the Sabres. He's fine with trading up, but when teams know you have assets they'll ask for more. You have to say no at some point and work it down. The gave up an insane amount to move up to 7 and look like fools from just a trade of picks for doing so. That's excluding the Allen portion of it. It will be the only few years for McDermott and Beane.

This is pretty simple. Jeremy and Mike can't make one of their co-workers look bad in front of consumers/customers, in this case the audience. It's basic professional etiquette that applies to all work places. Their is a time and a place for it, or in their case, their are debates to be had, but I don't think this is a good one for them. Putting Sal in a place to stand up for racist tweets when he's not sure how black players on the team he covers who he needs to have a good relationship isn't a good spot.

I'm wrong a lot too... So I do have hope in that. I will say if he turns out to be good, and the tweets in his history, I don't like that. I was a Whaley defender. I find it hard to hate on Edmunds after drafting Shaq. I know two wrongs don't make a right, but I think Edmunds is a good player.

Fair enough could be. I find it hard to discern what is truthful with them and what isn't. It's a lot like poker, because they may have claimed to like him, but didn't. And what good does it do to show their cards afterwards and say they were the bluffing. This is why the draft is exhausting to me, I think about everything from 1000 different angles. Really? I feel like I saw the opposite. I thought they saw him as someone with a high ceiling, but it was a big risk believing he'd reach it. He had had all the physical skills athletically, but accuracy, and mentally was going to be a jump for him. I thought Kiper was getting killed by everyone, including Mcshay (probably manufactured though) because no one honestly believed he go one. I believe you read this I just missed it and thought a lot of skepticism surrounded Allen the whole time. Here's to hoping we're all wrong who didnt believe.
