  1. Because those teammates have more self interest in Bell being there than a Bills fan. Good for Bell, it's not just about this year. If he has a career ending injury or messes up a knee he's losing millions because they're refusing to give him guaranteed money. I see both sides of it. Investing in a rb is risky, but the rb trying to get the most out of his career. I understand that too People get fixated about 14.5 million, but if you're worth 45, why would you take that? The 12 he banked last year is even less incentive to take the 14.5 if you feel it is under market value. No one likes to be underpaid or embraces that feeling. In terms of what he does, yea 14.5 is way more than a football player is worth. However, in terms of capitalism it isn't. I hope he holds out until week 8 because a) F the Steelers, and b) get your money while you have the chance. He's not on the market. He can only be offered what the Steelers give him. The market has had no say on these negotiations.
  2. Eh... I've got things I'd like to say but I think your goal is to get me to say those things. Think what you think, it really doesn't matter. Nor do I.
  3. Yea, I'm not taking that bait. You made your point at the least opportune time, and it's flat out wrong. I'm done with this
  4. I understand that. The browns remind me of a quote from George on Seinfeld where he says something along the lines of "a few bad strangers with a bad reputation... ruining it for all of us!" But I understand anyone not agreeing with that style of building a team in the nfl.
  5. The Tyrod negativity is astounding to me, and it is a bit convenient were you guys choose to praise and ignore ending the drought. If the offense is the control, Tyrod played way better than Peterman yet I continuously see him trashed on here. He's by no means perfect, but all of you saying give McDermott and Beane time for ending the drought afforded Tyrod no such thing. I just wish that he wasn't treated as poorly as he has been by this fanbase.
  6. No but if you're going to say you know my history and have followed me, then yea, you should follow every reply to my posts. You clearly already dedicate too much time to me.
  7. My post went over your head. The poster said the exact same thing to me and you called me an internet tough guy. I said the same thing sarcastically to you and you couldn't keep up. But it's cool, change the subject and project.
  8. You can see what I did here right? But go on, continue with misrepresentations
  9. If you want to insult me just say it and let me know so we can go at it
  10. Poster called me a loser for just saying I'd prefer the 1st pick over the playoffs, for just this year. Should I have thanked him? I don't mind that. He's a proven commodity in the league.
  11. The one saying you don't know me and let me know if you want to go at it is calling me the internet tough guy? You essentially threatened me, which I don't care and ignored btw, your lack of self awareness is amazing.
  12. I agree... the team won't pick 1st and it would be the most inopportune time to considering we just drafted a qb. However, if we're not in the playoffs, which I don't think we'll be. Or if we're just gonna go lose and not score a td in a wildcard game, I'd rather pick 1st. It's pretty simple, I want a Superbowl or at least the belief my team can do it. If I don't, what do I get out of it? A higher draft pick helps build towards that in my opinion. Child please. You're funny.
  13. You're simple and completely misguided. I merely answered the question to the thread.
  14. Who said anything about tanking? You injected that.
  15. The Eagles drafted Wentz 2. You're wrong.
  16. Winning to lose isn't fun. You don't get it. And for a number 1 overall pick, I'd like to think you hit it, it's a game changer at an important and he's here for a decade. It's obvious this is beyond you. You think you can win now with this roster? I want a contender not a wildcard team, that's the loser just happy to exist attitude.
  17. Eagles traded up to get their guy at the top of the draft. They don't really support your point. If Allen doesn't pan out and we make the playoffs, then I'm fine with giving up picks to get the guy. They don't really fit your narrative. The pats lucked out with Brady, anyone trying to build a team like the pats did just doesn't get it. Matt Ryan was selected 3rd, again doesn't really fit your narrative. You're acting as if these teams were in the playoffs year in and out and just drafted talent late. The Eagles and Falcons, two of your examples drafted their current QBs in the top 3 and I didn't even mention Julio.
  18. If I thought this team could win in the playoffs and was built to win now, of course playoffs. Pragmatically, wanting the best for the next 5 to 10 years. I want the top pick.
  19. 1st pick. Last year was fun, but the 1st pick can help make that a routine with the hope of making a run. Not just being happy to be there.
  20. Part of me does laugh at it when it all goes bad. I'm not sure, which guy should I be? The one who tells you they can make the playoffs despite just having nothing. With Peterman starting their is nothing to look forward to on offense. That's not really a fun team to watch. They don't even have athletes on offense to watch outside of McCoy. I like Murphy but they have no game breakers, nothing. All we have is the secondary and Edmunds to look forward to progressing and being apart of the future.
  21. Whatever booze I have in the house and a cigar to make me forget wtf I just witnessed.
  22. Lol the Leroy Jenkins reference is so amazingly perfect. Allen will bust, let the guys have their thread. I'm down on them but I won't ruin this thread with that. Here's to hoping you guys are right, and I'm proven wrong. As I have been, many times.
  23. I'm completely down on Peterman but this is 0%. If they're going to suck though, part of me would love to see it go down in flames and watch him toss 5 ints in the first half again. I just have nothing for Peterman. I'd just laugh, what else could you do? Has anyone done it before him? Dude is in a league of his own. 5 ints on like 15 attempts. He's bad, don't even bother trying to cut it any other way. He's shown nothing, people say well Peyton did this or that. Peyton showed a lot more than Peterman has. Or they say, hey, Brady was drafted late. It was a one off. The guy isn't good. Let's just get through this season, enjoy some laughs at our own expense and hope Allen is the answer. Peterman sucks. I'm sorry I can't read any garbage suggesting otherwise anymore.
  24. Your point is all about the past. They're notoriously slow starting is what you said. Which I agree. But I just don't feel confident about that game. I actually think they win that division.
