Is Nate Peteman the worst QB in NFL history?
Ol Dirty B replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was just joking, I know what you're doing. I got a warning for saying " I'd be inclined to call you an idiot" Not blaming the moderators at all. Hapless does an amazing job, I just think it's hilarious you can't even say you're an idiot anymore without someone reporting it. I think you're both great posters, even though we've had disagreements. -

Watch out. You might get reported. As harmless as it is, and as cool you and DC Tom are about it. Their is a lot of sensitive people on this board. -

No, people like John from riverside deserve this loss. Peterman and the players don't, McDermott also deserves this loss too. -

He is by far the worst. Ban him from orchard park. This goes back to McDermott too, but me saying that will make my opinion void. Which it already is, like yours, we don't sign the checks. -
How Shaq Lawson Bought In and Renewed His Commitment
Ol Dirty B replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't agree. I give you credit for all the sourcing you do. I just don't recall him ever being projected as a good run stopper, set the edge DE. It was either he was going to be amazing against the pass or he was banged up and not worth the 1st. I remember him being considered a steal where they got him. I just think as far as his skillset goes he was over drafted. Guys who play like him aren't sought out in the first round. That's all I meant with that post, I'm given the benefit of hindsight also. At this point, what he does, he looks like a reach in my opinion. I'm not trying to say he's an awful player -

It will be interesting to see where he sticks in the league. He is a great contain guy, unfortunately for him, his skill set is two decades past its shelf life. I'm not sure what his 5th year option ends up costing, but I'm not sure he is worth it. Good player, but totally over drafted at 19 by Rex. -
So you started a thread, to complain about something that you guess isn't an issue. Shady can do what he wants. He doesn't have fumbling issues, the other complaint I hear is about him not getting up field quick enough. I also give him a pass on that. The guy is at the least a border line Hall of Famer by the time he retires. I like talented players, you take the good with the bad.

Kudos to you guys who make that drive to Buffalo so much, I can't stand leaving at 730 from Rochester. Can't imagine when you guys leave. Also for putting up with the jets and giants fans out there -
Bills @ Houston - White on Blue Jerseys

I'm surprised people hate the all whites. That's my favorite look. -
I'm not denying he's great, or someone I would like to have on my team. I just think he isn't as good as TO or Moss, both of whom I consider near Rice's level. I actually think Moss is the best receiver of all time. I don't think OBJ will ever be in that conversation. But I do think he's really good.
-
TO also played on a broken ankle or leg in that SB if I remember correctly. No way OBJ does that. OBJ is good, but he's no where near the level of a Moss or TO. He can catch as many balls unnecessarily with one hand possible, I don't care. His game is completely style over substance.

What Do Young People Think When We Post About 90's Bills Teams
Ol Dirty B replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You couldn't be more right. I was born in 89, my memory goes back to pretty much right after the superbowls. People respected the team. I remember it being an expectation we'd make the playoffs. I remember the shock of how bad Todd Collins was and how quickly they moved on. People thought they could go to the superbowl in 2000. The 31-0 victory over the Pat's and subsequent loss of the same score to them, and 2004 vs Pittsburgh really has defined the last 18 years. You get some hope, then it crushes you, and oddly enough the building up of hope makes it all the more painful. But you're point is spot on, it went from amazing to just a joke in the blink of an eye. -

You're probably right, his TV work undoubtedly influences my opinion of him. It's just that the game, in my opinion has passed him by, which is fair. He's retired, on TV, but hearing his takes and people saying Polian would have done this or that. It's just a bit much to me. He gets a lot of credit for lucking into two great QBs. I think he did an amazing job here, not so much in Indy. As I write this I realize what he accomplished in Buffalo, Carolina, and Indy. Maybe I'm a bit unfair to him. I'm so confused about your first superbowl memory, your dad who was usually angry and pissed off was laughing and singing songs? I'm not doubting it, just seems like a weird turn of events. -

The 2014 team was better than last years team but that's another discussion. A pointless one too. I'm in that weird age regarding the Bills where I don't remember any superbowls, superbowl 30 is the first I remember. I remember going to games, I saw them beat Montana as a Chief. I remember the Bruuuuce cheers and asking my dad why are they booing Bruce lol. So to me, hearing older fans talk about it, as my dad does, often, isn't annoying at all. I like their perspectives on those teams. What I don't like hearing about is Polian. I don't think older fans reminiscing about those teams is annoying at all. It really is the Bills history. Pre-market stuff is kind of interesting, but the game was even more different then than the 90s. -
In the 90's maybe. You shouldn't have a chance at winning a game with 12 points now. You're making the field position argument, some are for it. I don't believe it. I think the upper half of the league has a chance to march down the field and score, regardless of where they start. So he's behind Darnold who spent most of the off season working with the 1's. Both of the QB's we had working with the 1's most of this team should be off the roster within in the next few weeks. Would you put that on McDermott? The way you phrase that sounds like an excuse for Allen and the team, when maybe it shouldn't. Not trying to put words in your mouth, I could be taking it out of context.
-
I don't agree with your season outlook, but I respect it. What i agree with more is keeping McCoy unless they are going to pay up. They don't owe the eagles any favors. I don't particularly want Algholor, but if he comes with a pick, ok. I like the 2nd and 3rd floor. Algholor and a 3rd is ok. Which sounds ridiculous to ask, but why not? Again, they own nothing to Philadelphia in negotiations.

Who is the overwhelming majority giving him a pass? He is always getting destroyed by the national media. He was benched last year, and only supported by ownership (which is all that really matters I guess) and NY media. Which they usually never did prior. Do some of you hear voices in your head? This argument doesn't even make sense. I'm not saying Allen is a bust, or doesn't deserve more time at all. But your argument is, "everyone's not all over manning playing bad, so why's everyone all over Allen playing even worse than him?" I do think Allen does get unfairly criticized, but Eli is not someone I'd hold up as getting a pass. And as others have mentioned, he has done a lot for that franchise and was a good QB at one point. My thoughts during the game were, wow they are bad. But Saquon is so fun to watch, not justifying drafting an RB that high. But all of us laughing at them for that pick probably thought they wouldn't be this bad. They could be competing for the top pick and have a chance at the QB of their choice to pair with Barkley and the head case WR. Their coach could be a 1 and done also. They look to be a mess.

Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.
Ol Dirty B replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Derek carr never played as well as mahomes has in granted, what is a limited sample size. Yet choose any 5 game stretch from his career and I'm pretty sure he never matches it. Yea Carr's first year stats were not impressive. I didn't watch a lot of them that year, but I kept hearing about him and I'd look at his stats like wtf? But I guess he showed flashes and 2nd yr was when he came alive
