I don't see any reason why this would be mentioned on WGR. Considering the ticket price for something considered extremely limited, I'm not sure if a spot in wgr would be within the budget. Then again, extremely limited could mean a lot of things. I've never been to the venue, not sure how big it is.

If we March Peterman out there again...I will....

You're not even funny. Step your game up. -
I'm not sure why this thread was even made. None of those questions are related, it's just going to go all over the place. We can debate the Bills. Not answer questionnaires in response to what you wonder about, that are all over the place. I mean question 1, the ***** are people supposed to do about that? I mean this is a Bills board, so why don't we all guess how many jellybeans can fit into a Bills replica helmet. That's essentially what you're asking.

We finally have a great chance at the #1 overall pick

So we're going CB right? -
I'm not sure, I don't really think he has a good temperament for a judge. Yet surprisingly most judges don't, however, they usually don't make it to the Supreme Court. I don't really want to hijack the thread. I think the whole thing was a mess. I think she had her own credibility issues as well. Now she had her issues and felt she owed society this? She was trying to project herself as a martyr. She said she was forced to drink grain alcohol, but remembered a lot of details and knew what happened. Then, she also claims she witnessed it happening to others. Knowing her pain, wouldn't you feel obligated at that point to say something? She let him judge 100's of cases and determine the fates of so many people, but now she felt this burden to step forward. Again, not for herself. I hate being that guy, I could never put myself in the victim's shoes. I think the investigation into it was a joke. I just do believe she had some serious credibility issues. The whole situation is a mess, I see both of your guys points. Like I said, I think you both make reasonable points and are intelligent. I just think enough is enough in some instances, the situation is so muddled, we'll never know what happened unfortunately. Not trying to tell you guys to stop, I just don't see an end to it.

That's the one thing I'll give them. They have a plan to create as much cap space possible, and do it their way. Defensively, can't argue with it at all. I'm just not sure I see any plan with the offense other than drafting some QB high. They just did nothing there outside of QB. Was the thought process maybe you take the LT in 17, he'll protect the QB in 18? It ended up being not enough and is being very generous to them. So this next year they're going to build the whole offense? They just have so much to do on that side of the ball and completely ignored it. It just makes it tough for me to have faith in any sort of plan.

Thanks, you definitely have me thinking about it. Your reasoning is good, but like you, I also hate betting my teams. The public perception of Peterman being announced starter will tilt that line in my opinion. I see it going to 10.5 if he is announced a starter in the next few days. Which is crazy, but I think the public starts laying money down on the Colts immediately if that is announced. I'm not an expert on this though. I dabble but I wouldn't consider myself a wiseguy or anything.

I'm not a Trump supporter by any means, but would you take his judgment as a valid point in anything other than a situation like this? Where it supports your position? I mean, I'd venture you'd take him as a someone with questionable character himself and a bad judge of character given the people he has surrounded himself at times. Yet in this instance, he had a moment of clarity? I think both you and Doc, make good points at times and are pretty intelligent people with just differing view points. Watching this go back and forth I just see no point in it. You're cherry picking stuff and he is aswell. In my opinion he called her a credible witness to try to back track from the disaster of a press conference he called after the UN General Assembly. He rambled on about his past experiences, how false accusations happen so frequently, and ended it with warning teenage boys to be careful of false accusations. That statement was all him trying to back track from the day before when he was unhinged for an hour and a half with the world witnessing it.

They didnt cover the 10 they were getting at green bay or the 7.5 or so they were getting at the Ravens. They aren't 3-0 ats getting 5 or more or am I misunderstanding you? You have a point, that's the only reason I ask because getting that many points vs a 1-5 team with this defense is usually something I'd jump on.
-
I'm not sure why? Could you explain that logic to me? They covered 17, 10, and damn, I don't remember the Titans line. They've failed to cover 7.5, 10, and I'm guessing the LA game which I don't remember the spread also. I just don't see any real great way to think they'll cover. Indy puts up points, and has a below average defense but a good pass rush. I don't think the Bills match up well with them. I'm going to wait if it goes up. It opened at 6.5. I like them at 10.5.

Can someone explain to me, how this wasn't mismanaged? I see people saying they handled it correctly. They drafted someone they even said they wanted to sit, and not rush into games. They said this for months. They signed McCarron and inexplicably kept Peterman. Peterman absolutely did nothing to earn another shot after his performances in LA, and Jacksonville. That game played out just like Sunday's. McCarron wasn't proven, they did nothing to address the situation on the line. They did nothing at WR. Anyone would be in a tough spot at QB, especially guys like McCarron and Peterman with a top 10 QB supposedly taking a red shirt year behind them. So they had two options, get a guy in who can handle adversity, or put more around McCarron and Peterman. Instead, they bailed on plan A with McCarron. And bailed on plans B, Peterman, and C, letting Allen sit. They've looked like they have no plan and no resiliency to stick to it. I thought Bridgewater was the best gamble, by far.

McDermott hangs up on Schopp and Bulldog
Ol Dirty B replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A 6 pack of Milwaukee's best is a very apt comparison for the Bills QBs. Because it's just a sponsorship. They aren't all calling from the same device or place. Paul Hamilton also calls in from the AT&T hotline, from all over. He has some headset crap he uses. Surely the idea this is just a sponsorship and they're just calling a number can't be jaw dropping. They aren't exchanging nuclear codes. -
Woods, Watkins, Hogan and Goodwin
Ol Dirty B replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've given them plenty of credit for the defense. You have a selective memory. You also said that 1,076 yards would be impressive for one receiver as if it was attainable. You totally tried to flip that post into being not ridiculous. Never said receivers were the only problem either. The line sucks, QB play has been poor. If I say something about that though I get bombarded by blowhards like you that it has only been 5 games. I'm not writing him off, he just hasn't played well. You want to live in your shell, and think everything this team does is great. You're a jill. I want to see this team win games or show that it is building a football team in the modern era. Defense looks great, I just don't think that's the way you do it. And they're anemic on offense. Outside of Allen and Dawkins, we don't even have youth to look for to grow. -
Woods, Watkins, Hogan and Goodwin
Ol Dirty B replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've only thrown for 750. And that's rounding up. But keep deflecting with what the issues are here. You're trying to change tone because you know what you were saying was ridiculous after I spelled it out for you. -
Woods, Watkins, Hogan and Goodwin
Ol Dirty B replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think McDermott calls the shots but that is just me guessing. I think he gets the credit and the blame. I don't know for sure though the way the organization's decision making works. I also think it's a possibility he just has an old football mentality. He, deservingly so, has confidence in his defense and needing next to nothing on offense. So he's just not even really investing. I think he thinks he has the Pats model down -
Woods, Watkins, Hogan and Goodwin
Ol Dirty B replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I miss Woods a lot. Part of me thinks he'd never achieve this here, so I am happy for him. He played the hand he was dealt, blocked well, always competed. I'm happy he's having success in LA. Still, I'm a Bills fan. Sucks it's not here. That said, McDermott let him walk and traded Sammy. Then brought in that !@#$ing slough Benjamin. They've done great defensively... but they look absolutely lost on offense, and even on the character front. For 1 guy that'd shatter anything anyone has ever done. But the homer in you has no place for context. You seriously just made the point that 1,076 yards through 6 games for a WR would be "impressive". They'd be on pace for over 2,500 yards. And Goodwin is dragging that total down and has Beathard throwing to him. He looked great today, but if he is better than anything we have on this roster. We have a serious problem. -
Woods, Watkins, Hogan and Goodwin
Ol Dirty B replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the first two were regarded as solid, Watkins and woods. And Hogan has a lot of his WSG supporters. I never was big on Hogan and still don't think he's great. Goodwin I think was unanimously dismissed, and I'm completely confused by what he's doing in San Fran. Maybe it's Shanahan? -
He did come out in a game not affected by weather or desperation... Which I wouldn't even say Houston was a desperation situation. You just made a bunch of excuses for him. He had that chance in LA, he played awful. He played awful in Baltimore. Flacco had no problem throwing in that rain. He played awful again in Houston, but I guess you have built in excuses for your point since you probably consider them to be bad weather or desperation. I'm sorry, the guy is bad. It's not flaming when you make a point that you can't defend at all and everyone is scratching their heads. I don't understand it. Let him go, he's not Frank Reich. Their will probably never be another Frank Reich because of how teams handle the QB position now.

The Bills defense was good just 4 years ago... What is it with these crap takes? They were top 3 when Orton was sliding behind the line of scrimmage Idk if you heard his post game, but it is maddening to me... Petermans post game. I'm starting to think he is diabolical. Coming out with this I'm a child of God and all this stuff.... Is he !@#$ing nuts? He injected religion into his post game, out of no where. Does he always do this in face to face interactions? I think he's playing McDermott. Look I'm pretty strong in my faith. I respect most of those who are. But when you start going off rambling about your religion when asked about your job performance, I start to think you're nuts or you're whacked.

Why Derek Anderson should start the rest of the season...
Ol Dirty B replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This whole mentor thing I don't really understand. It's like sending your kid to get mentored by someone who worked at Kodak, Radio Shack or Kmart in high level management. Derek Anderson has done nothing but stuck around and collect checks. He has never shown to be excellent at reading defenses, game management, ball placement. Nothing. He's just a warm body that might not cost you the game like Peterman will. I really don't understand what he can help Allen with. If the coaching staff can't figure out how to show him how to prepare during the week, then they have huge problems. If that's how they've handled the environment they have thrown an investment like Allen in, I have bigger problems with them. I don't completely disagree with your points on Anderson regarding why he should start. The fact one would describe the situation on offense this way, and throwing a guy your career is tied to just shows complete incompetence in my opinion. -
Callers can be bad. It's also how the hosts go about attracting callers. That's why I listen to the Dan Lebatard show. He doesn't take calls unless it's some joke or parody. WGR caters to the worst callers in the laziest way. It's fun to listen to if you just laugh at all the people involved in the charade.

I sincerely don't get all of the negativity.....
Ol Dirty B replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Oline, trading Glenn because Dawkins can play tackle also The QB situation No WR's for a year and a half The Benjamin trade Ths best offensive play maker and athlete being a 30 year old RB Building the team the way they appear to. Good defense, and awful offense constructed around the run for 2 years now. Coming in and effing up the run game. For as well as they have done defensively, and we'll see if it is sustainable. They have offset that by mismanaging the offense and at an amazing clip. I just look at the offense and they don't even have athletes at skill positions outside of McCoy and Allen. Everyone else is average to below average by NFL standards. I don't want to watch an offense of 5'11 4.6 guys, not at all. Hopefully the offense improves, but it is totally reasonable to question their ability. They have only torn down on the offense and not done anything to build at all outside of Dawkins and Allen. And Allen is very much a question mark going forward.
