12/1/2022 - NFL Week #13 - Bills at Pats* - Post game thread

not gonna lie, even though it makes no sense, I was thinking, "they're lying! they're gonna use a T.O. after the first kneel!" -

I too was wondering how the hoodie signaled this to us... -
I feel like most of the reasons you listed would most likely be a direct cause of the elbow injury (ie. confidence; Dorsey possibly dialing back the calls/playbook)

I think it's the philosophy. Look no further than the % of snaps we are in Nickel defense. Focus all energy (practice, signings, everything!) on doing what we do best. Of course they have game-specific and player-specific plans within that philosophy on a week-to-week basis, but I think there is a conscious effort to not forget this leading principle ("this is who we are, go ahead and try and beat it consistently.").

I still crack up at that Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where at the end Josh says, "PEPSI". https://www.ispot.tv/ad/qqyA/buffalo-wild-wings-doritos-spicy-sweet-chili-wings-rock-paper-scissors-feat-josh-allen

Gabe Davis - Getting a Bum Rap From Some Fans
Nineforty replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone who thinks that catch was super easy yesterday, watch it again. In real time and slow mo please. Too many spoiled brats here. Too many people turning on players when we are efing 8-3. Never been more disappointed of the fanbase than i have been than this year. Pathetic. Not all of you of course. -
I agree with almost everything except I think "very bad for 55 minites" is too strong. I think he also made some good and a few great passes in that 55. But he is no doubt missing too many, and some that aren't close. More than we are accustomed to. I believe the elbow needs rest and he'll get some here and then a long week after NE. I hope that rest does him wonders and we start to see the early season version of Josh.

OP and I are not watching the same games

Rooting for U.S. to make it out of the group stage. Anything else is gravy. That's how I approach it. Watched every qualifier I could as last time around, it proved that qualifying for the WC was no longer a given (my mistake). I have a futures bet involving France repeating. FTR, I'd gladly take US winning it all and I will be rooting as such, but let's be real haha

Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
Nineforty replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. With what is known and not known at this time, yup. And let's say it was all mental and the team decided they can't deal with this this season and IR'ED him, I would: A. Understand. B. Not be mad or critical of Tre White. I don't believe Tre is out there stealing money. I trust the Bills to do what is best for team and player. They have earned that from me. He has earned that in his short time from me as a fan. -
Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
Nineforty replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't you think the team would rather get him back in a couple of weeks potentially and deal with any negatives (like fans being whiny *****; roster moves) until then? Don't you think the team would be weighing everything on a week to week basis and would make the best decision for the team? Glad you aren't the decision-maker, willing to IR someone who could help you down the stretch and who may be available in the coming weeks. In your words, he has to play or be placed on IR. this is simply wrong. And idiotic. -
The Bills won yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)
Nineforty replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
...because some dumb member of the cleveland browns took a late swipe at Josh's elbow. -
NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread
Nineforty replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was a wicked bounce. I don't blame him. I dont think he could have gotten to it before the bounce either. -
Sunday's game vs Cleveland is being moved to Detroit

As the Chippewa and Ariel found out in late 1813, undoubtedly. -
J. T. O'Sullivan breaks down latest game (28 mins) -Damnnnnn.. That camera angle around the 10 minute mark from behind Josh when he throws to Diggs and Diggs makes the great one handed catch, damnnnn. Poetry! and you can see how close it could have been to disastrous, as some other throws were). -For the lil Dirty haters, go to ~16 min mark. This may be the most I've seen JTO criticize a player of the Bills on any given play in the couple of videos he has done.

Theres whining in every sport. Id agree with you that the flopping has increased in NBA and college basketball (has NBA been better recently?) But i dont see it as something new or increasing in the NFL. And i love soccer, but cannot stand the flopping.

Week 9: Bills at Jets - Sunday Nov. 6th 1pm
Nineforty replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
You say 'whining'. I say 'working the refs' to do anything he can to help his team win a game. It is not cheating. It is an art. -

I would've thought 57 -
The baseball team in Atlanta have done this so many times in the past few years. Different sport, but same idea/principles.

"Brandon Beane went all-in with pocket Ace's pre-flop and lost the hand??? What an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?
Nineforty replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
some fans after Edmunds plays well -
I think I need to accept he is a very good QB. I watched more Eagles games the past couple seasons (Hurts fantasy owner) than most other teams not named the Bills and I was not that impressed with him as a thrower, so I kept holding onto that take that he is 'meh', longer than I should have. But this year, he looks different, better. A true #1 WR helps. An unexpected leap nonetheless, at least from my narrow view.
