Gabe has Been the biggest dissapoontment on the bills this season..he was supposed to take the next step and he's been a liability horrendous catch percentage and inability to get open consistently -
Allen ignoring defenders last few weeks.

Honestly seems like at this point the loss of daboll is huge for allen accountability wise . He was the coach that would rip into him and hold him accountable for poor reads or throws. -

A Few Thoughts About the Ravens Game, in no particular order

Agree completely on your point about the wind ..while it does neutralize the opponent..it neutralizes us just as much or more ..we have an explosive passing attack and are probably going to be a volume passing team for the next decade probably ....when they are building they should probably take that into deep consideration. -

Reduce the size and complexity of the offensive play book
bills11 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there's merit to this discussion. Daboll does need to do a better job getting this offence into rhythm..he calls too many plays early looking for explosive chunk plays ...that works when you have excellent protection like Josh did in game 1-4 but when you don't connect you get quickly into 3rd and longs and quick 3 n outs... the second half of this game was far more balanced with more quick reads off of rpos..sometimes it's okay to take a 6 yard gain . The defence is obviously not as stout as we expected entering the season so our best bet is to keep the ball as much as possible. -
Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 1st Half

Donno why Josh is locking on to diggs tonight he's been doing a great job of going through his progressions ..weird -
Good Read...what I took from the article I already knew..Josh has a solid foundation to build on he's not the first or last qb to come out with erratic footwork or arm slots watch mahomes in college his footwork was atrocious .... ....the mechanical tweaking is really something all qbs go through..his mechanics will become more consistent with repetition and mastery of the mental aspects of being a qb. Josh's mechanics often fall apart because he doesn't trust what he sees completely yet...and the protection around him hasn't been ideal ..when he knows what he's doing pre snap and trusts where he's going with the football which will happen his true accuracy will go up and so will his completion percentage...he's already made great strides..

Yet another wannabe power hungry coach from the Belichick tree ...these guys try to emulate his brash personality without the success behind it..bill and Nick Saban another belichikian type get away with treating players like crap because of their immense success...O'Brien and soon to be Patricia are just poor imitations

Shaq scares me due to commitment questions once he's paid ..Phillips is the one I'd let go for sure if the price isn't right. He's a very good rotational piece but his production numbers aren't as impactful as his play an overpay wud be a huge mistake . -
One thing that stands out to me watching these games is the bills offensive line has along way to get Jackson has an eternity to throw compared to Josh .

2019 Re-Draft: Cody Ford vs DK Metcalf
bills11 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Metcalf was going to be a good pro ..some people harped on his combine agility numbers but I thought he would be a Dez Bryant 3 route type of wr slants verticals comebacks none which require great agility . He has superb speed and size . -
Daboll at times like the first quarter calls the game the way that meshes best with Allen's play style ...I don't know why we continually go away from that and go back to empty sets where Allen has to scan the field it's not a strength at this stage of his career ..I've said this before I just think he's the wrong oc for Allen if u want to get the most out of him you need to design an offence for him the way the Ravens have with Jackson ..trying to turn him into a disciplined pocket passer who makes the correct reads against exotic blitzes is when he does things like pirouettes into massive sacks and etc .

Playoff #1 Bills @ Texans PostGame Thread
bills11 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm embarrassed ...our offence much maligned for the whole season they weren't perfect but they elevated their play ..we were up 16-0 the performance of the defence was inexcusable the tackling and lack of execution the 3rd and 18 goes down historically as one of the worst defensive Downs in bills history . I'm just disgusted especially for a team built around a stout defence . -
The only conservative great coach I can think of would be from soccer Jose Mourinho ..I agree with your premise though ..Sean needs to add aggressiveness to his repertoire Everytime we get ahead we basically go into clock wasting mode up 17-13 the gameplan needed more aggressiveness not conservative clock management .
-
Yup and the fact he's still growing in terms of processing what he is seeing he often times pulls the trigger a hair too late instead of making a anticipatory throw which he gets away with at times due to sheer velocity on his throws . It's all just a learning process I'm encouraged with what I've seen from Josh this season just needs more reps and experience .
-
It's inconsistent mechanics he just needs to continue to get reps...at Wyoming his base was completely wrong when throwing and his footwork was consistently incorrect ...he worked with Jordan Palmer and ofc the bills coaches to mitigate some of it but he's still thinking about it and making small errors like having his feet pointed the wrong direction towards his intended Target and having his feet spread too far apart or too little on his dropback and sometimes using all arm instead of his entire base like on some of the deep balls he's missed.
