My personal vow regarding Josh Allen: Who is with me
bills11 replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thats how it should be period..knee jerk reactions like CUT shady after a bad game need to stop -
There are actual valid points in the article..so far Allen is exhibiting the same issues he had at Wyoming .. inconsistent mechanics..his mechanics are breaking down under duress ..play recognition and ability to throw the proper passes in the right situations . Like Ive said on prior occasions Allen is a project whatever way you want to slice it the hope is his physical talents once he puts it together mentally will allow him to shine. But as of now Allen is behind the other QBs in terms of the aspects of being a quarterback..rosen and Mayfield forget the nnumbers both throw from a firm base and have consistent mechanics and mentally are ahead atm. But the bills knew that going in its only a couple games in and he's also shown flashes of putting it together wait till next year to evaluate him right now he's just learning .

Not every QB comes out the gate firing on all cylinders. It's very difficult to make an evaluation of Josh Allen with the offensive talent deficiency we have . Judge Allen in year 2 because year 1 is often not indicative of future success or failure..rg3 looked great year 1 how that turn out ..Mariota has regressed since year 1..dak Prescott as well ..meanwhile Goff was night and day between year 1 and 2...point is we don't know yet 3 games is too small a sample size to determine his career trajectory

Dabolll ?! Where has this playcallig been -
I think its pretty obvious that whaley did not have the power to take the organization in the direction he wanted..with russ brandons constant meddling in areas he had no buisness being in ..brandon is the one who said " dont let rex leave the building " and basically sold ryan to the pegulas. Brandon for sure had a huge role in the watkins trade up..he was always about making moves that he felt sold tickets. Nonetheless whaley found alot of talent while he was here..he just missed on the most vital position his track record is much better than beanes so far.

Trent Dilfer: "I don't think Josh Allen should be playing"
bills11 replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definetely..but the issue i will always have is not having better structure..if youre gonna take the raw prospect with upside over the more polished passers then structure is the most prudent. Allen should never have to throw the ball 40 times this year like he nearly did last game..he needs to be ina situation where he has good protection and a running game to rely on while growing..and when hes not seeing something who does he go to..darnold has mcown ...baker has tyrod and stanton...rosen has bradford..Allen isnt gonna learn anything from peterman. -
Trent Dilfer: "I don't think Josh Allen should be playing"
bills11 replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with alot of what he's saying ..Allen is still learning how to play the position baker and darnold and Rosen are ready . Which makes it more insane that we went into the year with Peterman ..Allen shud be learning from a vet right now we could have got Teddy Bridgewater before the Jets for example . Allen has the highest ceiling but also the higher learning curve -

Sean McDermott: "Culture Trumps Strategy" ?
bills11 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Culture is definitely important ...if you have a winning culture things fall in to place as far of performance on the field. But there has to be a balance you can have the best culture but if you don't have talented players your team won't win. And at times I'm confused about how they judge players ...Kelvin Benjamin is deemed a process guy since they traded for him yet he's arrogant abd other things that seemingly don't fit the culture they want to build yet they jettisoned more talented players because they didn't fit their vision . -

The point is..people bashing Rosen for being arrogant is Ptless when so many greats are like Rodgers for example -

you know who else is an arrogant prick ...aaron rodgers..i hope the bills arent drafting based on personality alone. -
I wasnt surprised at all tbh...belichick traded him because he knew bledsoe had limitations..he wasnt gonna trade garapolo to buffalo unless we gave him a ditka or vikings to cowboys type haul

Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.
bills11 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so far beanes decisions arent looking too good hopefully for everyones sake josh allens turns out to be a franchise qb if not were back here in 3 years firing the whole scouting dept again as the pegulas hire some new regime -
How do you develop Allen with the current offense?
bills11 replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well yeahh but we keep trying to take shots and each time he either overthrows foster or foster drops it..bottom line the wr corps is abysmal so as much as i agree that going deep softens the pressure on the run do we have the personnel or the line to do it..other than the vikings game the oline has been under siege -
How do you develop Allen with the current offense?
bills11 replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Establish the run so the play-action is actually effective..shady only had 5 carries last game..give him some easy reads like the vikings games..scheme some completions..wr screens etc..move to a quicker passing game so he doesnt have the opportunity to hold the ball and make bad decisions..call more of the plays hes comfortable with.Stick with the run even if its not working and stop getting pass happy hes not equipped for that at this point in his career..if we wanted someone who was ready to be a volume passer day 1 we sghould have drafted rosen . -
The Rosen Era Has Begun in Arizona
bills11 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear ya but Allen is our Qb either way gotta just let him grow and get behind him . I had the qbs ranked Mayfield Rosen Darnold in that order pre draft. Allen was always going to be the one who looked the least ready off the bat..because he simply isn't at the same point in his development as the other 3..Mayfield and Rosen already have pocket presence and understand how to throw the football as in when to put zip and when to put touch etc..Allen is still learning these things..mcbeane is banking on him having the highest long term potential due to his physical skill..lets hope hes right or this will be crippling. -
Allen is a budding superstar
bills11 replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Entire offence was so bad its hard to get a judgement on Allens performance today..it wasnt like the chargers game where allen left some plays on the field and had okish protection..daboll came in with a really bad gameplan..the o line was awful in both run and pass blocking..Im not sure how you expect a Raw rookie to perform in a circumstance where hes facing constant blitzing and the play calling doesnt adapt to that pressure...and absolutely no running game..mccoy ran the ball 5 times. -
It could be worse; Frank Reich could be the Bills coach

A few thoughts about the Packers game, in no particular order
bills11 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly don't even understand what his philosophy is..like what are his plays that he relies on...where was the quick plays from the minny game last week there just seems like a lack of cohesion in his play calling u dont see from otehr coordinators -

bills11 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
great points the biggest cause for concern for me is daboll..theres absolutely 0 rhythm to this offence...why would mcdermott fire rick dennison then hire another coordinator with even less nfl success calling plays..they knew they were drafting a rookie qb if any this was the time to get a veteran play caller with history of working with qbs who are successful ...todd haley was out there whos record speaks for itself ..chud was available..and darell bevell even they have achieved alot more than daboll in the nfl..so far daboll has lived up to his horrible stints before as oc in the nfl
