Gabe had a rare off-game today. Hopefully he and Josh settle in for a good week of practice and Gabe does what he did last year in our 1st playoff game vs Colts. In other news, strange that Josh's goal line slip in the rain vs Titans ended up costing us a 1st round bye and homefield advantage throughout. Game of inches for sure....

As always, Hondo makin' sense from way across the country. There is a ton of luck involved in these games, and referee involvement is a huge part of that. We didn't deserve to beat the Rams last year but they called a ticky tack hold on the guy covering Gabe Davis at the end of the game and we won because of it. The no calls in the Patriots MNF game were ridiculous and the tape backed it up. If Bass makes that chip shot field goal in that game then it's 14-13 and we kick at the end from in close and win 16-14. Josh slipping in the rain vs Tenn, etc. The bottom line there is a ton of luck involved every time I hear "some teams just know how to win close games" I laugh. Think about Milano and Siran Neal--two of our best tacklers--hitting Deshaun Watson simultaneously at the end of the playoff game two years ago at and their collision allows Watson to squirt out and win the game, had nothing to do with us 'knowing how to win a close game' and everything to do with luck. The only thing I would concede is that some qb's and offenses run better 2 minute drills than others, take a more aggressive approach to winning the game instead of going into OT. This may skew the results slightly but we also saw the Chargers and Ravens lose games this year simply because they were too aggressive.

I think our challenge isnt guys getting separation and catching the ball. We have plenty of those guys.

Ive noticed some stadiums have way too much space between the sidelines and the 1st row of fans behind the bench. Our stadium now is great in that sense and I hope they keep that in mind with the new one. Sure the team could probably use a little more room but moving back the stands too far hurts every view from the 1st row all the way back. There are a few NFL ones where the 1st row at midfield is like 30 yards from the field, its a joke.

TV Announcers were clueless on the Bease target INT. To me there were two things that happened, contact w Bease AND he clearly stopped his in-cut or curl or whatever he was supposed to be running. Either way it wasnt on 17 as we know.

Some days you want a dome, this year more than half of the games were in unpleasant conditions. Some days you want the open air and natural light, the feel of an authentic outdoor football game. In my view there is almost nothing worse than having a beautiful weather day for football and having to go inside a dome. It kills the vibe for me. There are good and bad to both options, like most anything in life. The last 4 games I went to were the snow game vs Indy, Balt playoffs last year, all day rain vs Houston this year and crazy wind Monday night a few weeks ago. Thats the snowiest, coldest , rainiest and most windy games the Bills have played in as my last experiences and I'm still happy they're going for a new open air stadium in OP.

Until the red endzones and helmets come back, i will continue my strike by not watching the Bills, and instead turn my attention to my new team, the CFL's Edmonton Elks. With their snappy uniforms and $9 tickets ($8 of which is taxes) that's a team I can really support.

Well this late in Russ' career he's only going to play exactly where he wants to play and his agent will make that known. That rules out teams like the Jets, Giants etc and somewhat hurts what Seattle can get for the guy. I could see Russ ending up w the Niners and Trey Lance goes to Seattle with another player and some picks. Well we unloaded Wyatt Teller who is the second highest ranked offensive lineman in the league and would make a massive impact on this team right now. And Logan Thomas who would be a huge upgrade to Tommy Sweeney. Heck I think Quinton Spain would be an upgrade at either guard position right now too. GM's make mistakes all the time. I'm not saying it's easy, and I see your point about fan favorites getting taken to the extreme, but sometimes the fan opinions are correct and the GM's are wrong. Like my call about Josh Rosen being a better pick than Josh Allen. Yeah you're missing my entire point, of course a head coach needs to win to keep his job. This thread was about reporters being tough on Bill and I made the comment that he has zero social skills and more than one beat reporter has told Chris Brown it sucks dealing with the guy as your full time job. Some coaches win AND handle themselves off the field with charisma and a little humor, and it's more enjoyable for everyone. That's all. I think McD is pretty good in that regard (getting a little more loose as the years go on), Reid is the king, Arians too. The head coaches PRIMARY job is to produce a winning team, in the same way a player's primary job is to execute on the field, but off the field conduct, the way they treat the fans, the press, doing interviews, signing autographs, having a sense of humor, answering questions in a way that doesn't make them seem smug--that is also an important piece of the job. Andy Reid is a HOF coach as well, look at how he handles it all, how he relates to people with his wit and a twinkle in his eye compared to stuffy old Bill. I've heard Chris Brown talk about what his colleagues as Patriots beat reporters have told him about having to work with Belichick they say it's a freaking nightmare.

Based on the last weather we had on Monday night there against the Pats, I'm guessing even a numbskull like Roger Goodell could figure out that it might be better to have the game in daylight in January. But you never know... You can rest assured the Pats and Tampa will get preferential treatment on schedule if at all possible. im loving this season considering we are 3 plays away from leading the conference. Tenn, Pats amd Tampa came down to us knocking at the end zone for the win. We lost em all but we're still fun to watch, still in the playoff hunt, still averaging like 30 a game and we can beat anyone in the league on any given day. Dont let the negative crap get you down dude. Sports are here to be enjoyed and the NFL is atop that list. we have an elite qb for the next dozen years, some seasons we will win a ton of games (15 wins last year) and some we we wont but either way we will always be in the hunt. lets roll sunday baby!

The fact that the league allows both sides of the field to go hug each other unmasked and shake hands says all you need to need to know. Looks to be about 250+ people on the field after every game. There isn't a whole lot of logic involved, they're just trying to keep the season going and the stadiums full with the appearance they're not being negligent. I dont blame them, just dont look for any logic at this point.

1. carolina has an excellent pass rush, we did OK considering no Dawk. 2. cold weather can wreak havoc on opposing kickers leg muscles. dome's not so much. 3. josh needs to focus on getting his throws down a foot or two. Has a recently developed a tendency to throw high= harder to catch, less YAC, greater chance of pickoff from deep safeties. Or at least bring in an assistant OC with a Greg Roman type adaptive run approach and use him to install some down blocking or zone blocking concepts we can use to free up our runners. Daboll does a lot of things well, but needs a boost in the balanced offense department before his Oline has a mutiny and kills him (or someone hurts Josh).
