  1. Micah Hyde telling Josh Allen he jumped the route because he read his eyes got me to wondering why all qb's don't have a tinted visor. Vick used to wear one too. I read that anyone can wear a clear visor whenever they want. To get a tinted visor they have to claim they need it for vision/medical reasons and get permission from the NFL. Can't we get a note from some doc--I don't care if it's from Epsteins Mother--and let our boy Josh have a little rook advantage? I say if it helps boost qb play it's something this league needs.
  2. I would wait and see how my Oline is playing for a few games before I throw the kid into the fray. Too many question marks upfront right now, it's quite a stretch to think we can assemble a good line with such a lack of experience and continuity. Maybe we can, maybe the Oline can be serviceable right away, but I see week 9 against the Bears here at home as a logical spot for the kid's first start.
  3. During the Indy snow game we had a bunch of kids with us and had to leave the game early because there was literally NOWHERE to warm up inside the hallways. Club seats and boxes, no issue with heat obviously, but they need to install some radiant heaters in the main hallways. We helped a girl that was borderline hypothermic, crying in the stairwell she was so cold. I know that was an exceptionally brutal storm, but to not have a single place to stand for 10 minutes and warm up was downright dangerous. I'm against a new stadium, but support some logical improvements like heaters.
  4. I heard Zay was gonna sue Tyrod for repeatedly hitting him on the hands with the ball last year. Too Soon?
  5. Let me see a full healthy season from KB before we talk about retaining him. I'm worried he's gonna be on the injury report a lot, like he has been for years.
  6. He also had A.J. Green, an elite WR in his prIme who gets massive separation and wins jump balls. He can make any qb look good. I hope McCarron can run a good offense this year, would be great to give Allen a dozen games on the bench before he goes live.
  7. Yeah he's Jerry Sullivan 2.0 Sadly, these hack writers are more clicked on fir their negative stuff than the good journalists. A guy like Sal Capaccio who is a far better writer and team analyst probably gets half the clicks of the negative writers.
  8. He's just trolling. I have a neighbor like that, just says completely stupid things as if he's the real expert and knows more than everyone else. Uh...yeah....you know... um Evidence and stuff. Yeah ok dude, go back to watching CSI Wyoming. We all know there are some years like EJ's draft where college doesn't produce a single franchise qb, and ultimately its an educated guess as to who will make it, but Allen is a heckuva prospect. Funny that the current top qb's Brees, Rodgers and Brady were all in the bottom half of the first round or lower. Definitely some luck involved. We deserve to hit on this pick, and I think we will.
  9. If we don't have Haushka there's no way we get in. He won us two games with long range bombs most kickers miss if they even attempt at all. We got lucky in the snow game with the missed kick at point blank range, the deonte bomb, interference call etc. Dude we lucked out a lot. But so what
  10. A big part of the game is on the replay screens, so I would be sure you have a good view of the jumbo. Vast majority of seats do. I personally think that 15-30 rows up is a sweet spot. I like picking one end of the field or another vs the 50 yard line, there's nothing like a TD or big play on your end of the field. It's a gamble, but it IS the Titans after all, so we'll be scoring some on them. Also don't discount front row upper deck. Those seats can be found resale, and they're awesome too.
  11. Wonder where Denzel Ward will end up for Cleveland. I'm still baffled they didn't trade back out of that 4 spot with us at 12. Could have still nabbed a top corner (possibly even Ward) and TWO more second round picks. Will likely end up being viewed as a bonehead move by Cleveland.
  12. I like to post like a white defensive back: A heady poster, who knows his limitations and plays within his skill set. Unfortunately I'm more of a "sputtering low motor" guy
  13. I've been saying week 9 here at home against the Bears. No way they start him on the road. And when we know our Oline can protect the kid
  14. But they already DID get rid of him. He chose to retire. We drafted his replacement, it was over. Personally I would have either paid him his $1 Mil (a bonus for being on the roster for 2018 which he is not) or let him look elsewhere but not both. Whatever. I always liked the guy, I hope he's healthy and happy in retirement. I would suggest he get tested for CTE just in case. He played hard.
  15. I agree with you. Peterman has had successful NFL drives for scores, he threw three bad balls against a great defense and embarrassed himself in LA but he is accurate and has a decent shot at starting. We will carry all three this year on the roster. Allen week 9 first start, Bears at Bills.
  16. Wait. He signed a contract and then quit before he fulfilled it. Are you saying he deserves the free $mil? He got paid in full last year, that's doing the right thing. Awarding roster bonus money to a retired player isn't a precedent any team would set Dawk is our best lineman, and was for the 2nd half of last year. Richie is good but Dawk is great.
  17. I'm with you guys. Delete the stupid Richie retired thread and start a new one. So annoying to have to page through months old posts because God forbid we can't have two threads on the same guy. In other news, why did we release him and give the guy a free $mil and potentially have to play against him again. Beane says all moves are to make the team better, this doesn't pass the smell test.
  18. Hey if he's built like a guard, I know a team that's in need of two guards....... just sayin
  19. All qb's miss seeing open receivers, even the elite ones. But Tyrod did it more than most. He had Woods Sammy and Goodwin, all guys that have proven they can get separation in this league, and he still underwhelmed. I think Streater will have an impact if he has the camp he had last year. Remember Benjamin gets hurt a lot, he's basically another Sammy/Goodwin as far as reliability, so we'll need some veterans to step up at some point this year. Kerley might beat out Zay for the slot duties.
  20. Print newspapers aren't dying because of high operating costs. Declining revenues in print and classified ads are killing them. Buffet said he thinks only the NY Times and Wall Street Journal will survive in the long run. And unfortunately Jerry Sullivan still remains alive, like an old scarred cockroach.
  21. I'll always remember Eli from the way he handled the draft, that dumb, smug entitled look on his face when San Diego picked him despite him whining he didn't want to play there. Lost all respect for the guy, glad his career and team are in the toilet.
  22. Well he did grade out pretty well last season in run blocking, maybe that Chargers game was just a bad day at the office for him.
  23. Red Helmets Red End Zones for me Its the Red Zone for god's sake, make it pop. Maybe we'll get there more often.
  24. Not afraid of the Fins this season. The one surprise I see coming is Quinn having a monster year for them. He's 100% back from that injury and will be a disruptive force for them. Have a buddy that works for the Rams, says they couldn't keep him but really wanted to. He said look for him to do what Chandler Jones did last year on the field.
  25. im optimistic but at this point we only have Dawk and Groy for sure, maybe Vlad as the third starter. If we can somehow pull off a good O-line by opening day I'll be pleasantly surprised.
