This article really doesn't say he's struggling at all, just making mistakes and moving on like any inexperienced qb learning how to be an NFL starter. There is a very good chance that Mahomes won't make it as a franchise guy. It's the same with Garrapolo-- let's see how these dudes do when they put together a decent body of work and NFL defensive coordinators start picking apart their game, learning their tendencies, and forcing them to play to their weaknesses. They're going to get facepunched more than they're going to roll up 300 yard passing games. Right now DeShaun looked like the smart pick at qb last year, he was lighting it up before his injury, but again--let's see how he does with defenses stacked against his strengths and he isn't an unknown anymore. He might be the real deal, but let's be honest we go years between finding franchise qb's in this league, and having only a handful of solid games means zero in the NFL.

Man they were gushing over this kid on draft day. Not about him getting arrested trying to hire a hooker. The other part... This Strengths: Quick, disruptive defender Interior pass-rush skills Fast to fire his gap Gets a lot of pressure on the quarterback Can bull rush Closes well on the quarterback Quality run-defender Can hold his gap against runs Skilled at shedding blocks Good length Can split two blockers Versatile Speed to the flat Stays low out of his stance Can swim off blocks Scheme versatile Good fit as a three-technique in a 4-3 Fits as a five-technique in a 3-4 Remember how awesome he looked early in his rookie camp too. Looks like he might have the Dareus disease, talent but not enough discipline and drive.

Because Ducasse and Miller are better and have more game experience in there. I think Groy will be the depth interior guy with Wyatt behind him.

One thing we know about Johnny Miller is that he's inconsistent, but has played at a high level. The famous stat on him is doubling his PFF score from mid thirties in his rookie year to a 77 in his second. Then last year he couldn't crack the starting lineup, not sure why. Eric Wood had a nice tweet about him a few days ago "John Miller is a stud in 1 on 1's, when you have an anchor like that it's tough to lose" Let's hope he has another up year. Apparently Wyatt is slated to be RG backup to Miller this season. Ducasse (also a 2nd round pick like Johnny) really seemed to improve his play as the season went on and will be the LG. When I say "seemed to improve his play" , I'm basing that on what I read, not what I saw. Other than isolated tackles it's hard to know whose assignments are what on the Oline. What looks like a mistake by a guard could be a miscue from the center, etc. The biggest challenge this season to the Oline is that nobody is playing next to a person they did last year. It's all new. I thought Groy was going to be starting center but Bodine might win the job. Groy has half a dozen starts, Bodine has like 35+ so maybe that's giving him an edge. The word is Daboll's offense is going to be more similar to Roman's with that power offense and down blocking schemes. We'll see !

What additions at DE for the Pats? They had a pathetic pass rush last year,.cost them the championship. Figured that would be high priority in offseason.

Sounds like my neighbors dog Bucky. Never got neutered, mounts everything in the neighborhood.

Except that chargers game pass where he looked like me out there with the stonehands

Prisco: Bills to go 3-13 (start 0-8)
Da webster guy replied to HansLanda's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats all guesswork. Here are some facts: Our defense will be even better. No clue who our qb will be, but QB production wasn't our strongsuit last year and we made the playoffs. Our WR's will be better than the mess we had last year with an injured KB and Streater, with random dudes filling in week to week. We will shut down the Ravens on opening day. Collins will fumble at least once, we will be in the backfield all day, and we'll start 1-0 -
[Vague Title] It continues... Josh Allen...

I love how they use the term "empirical evidence" as some sort of qualification. That literally means they haven't witnessed or observed him having success in the NFL. Sadly, this hack writing is clickbait crap and they got me. Well done hacks...... -
Why we will beat Baltimore on opening Day
Da webster guy posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its only 57 days away at this point. We have a new O coordinator, mostly new Oline, some new WR's and we don't really have any idea who our starting qb will be. As concerning as that is, there's still a major advantage in week 1 as Balt tries to prepare for us. There's no film to study. In short, it will be virtually impossible for Baltimore to do anything else except try to scout our vanilla preseason offense, and hope to make some in game adjustments to keep up with what Daboll is doing. The Ravens Oline still has question marks at RT and center, and I expect Flacco and the team to be the same as last year. They have the rook TE Hurst, but Lamar Jackson and the rest of their picks are non-factors when we play them week 1. Collins looked pretty good running last year, fumbled some, but Dixon is back finally and he's going to compete for some carries there too. Its a serious tandem but if we can handle Fournette we can stop anybody. The knock on Morningwig is he hasn't established a real groove running the Ravens offense and I think that carries into this year. They do have dangerous special teams led by the Cyborg himself, GOAT kicker Justin Tucker. The dude will make a 70 yard fg this year mark my words. Overall I see the Bills defense playing the same game we did in Jax last year, going on the road and kicking ass. The early spread has us as 3 point dogs, but the Bills win it 16-9 on solid defense, some surprise plays on offense, protecting the ball and grinding out a tough road win. -
What will Daboll's offense look like?
Da webster guy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering all the changes w new coordinators, receivers, Oline and not even knowing who our starting qb is on opening day, the Madness Approach you speak of might be the only way to beat Balt and start the season properly -
What will Daboll's offense look like?
Da webster guy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, it's hard to say what his offense will look like, but it will likely be a departure from Dennison's west-coast scheme. There will be some college flavor in there, it's hard to imagine a new NFL OC isn't watching the approach guys like Andy Reid and Sean McVey have taken. My hope is that he waits to formulate the bulk of his offense AFTER he sees what his talent looks like in camp. His starting receivers are likely KB and Streater, with Zay and Kerley slot/4th Wr. He doesn't even know his day 1 qb at this point, nor how his Oline is going to look. With that in mind, this an ultra challenging task for this relatively young dude, and I hope he uses his youth to his advantage and remains open minded about structuring the playbook. Too many times, on both sides of the ball we've seen new coordinators come in and try to force their own system in because it worked with their previous team's personnel. Just last year we saw Rico take away Tyrod's long ball because he wanted to run things differently, Rex hurt our defense in the same way when he came in. Daboll would be wise to see how his troops fight best before he formulates his battle plans. -
My grandma runs weird, but we still feel she's bought into the family system and has a high enough motor (1/2 horsepower) to contribute. She's right in the meaty part of the curve--not falling behind, not showin off......

After 20 years, Bills Daily shuts down
Da webster guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not shutting down the way I read it. he's just burned out from daily postings, but seemed to indicate he'll post gameday grades--which i always liked--and some other stuff here and there -
Fred Jackson Anyone?
Da webster guy replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shady is not going to get pinned for this, he's not going to test positive for steroids, and he's not going to get in trouble for kicking his dog or spanking his son. Whatever thug friend of his that did this is going to get nailed and go to jail where he belongs. My guess is whoever the guy is he's already been incarcerated before so he'll get to go back and wear the orange suit again. And hopefully the ex gf gets her poor kid out of Shady's house to somewhere safe, let the police find the pistol whipper, get a job to support herself and her son, and they can all move on with their lives and put this mess behind them. Squatting is a dangerous this to be doing with a child involved. I just hope he didn't witness the assault. -

Sammy Watkins classes it up on his way out of LA
Da webster guy replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think if Beane had any clue we would be in the playoffs he would have kept Sammy. He would have made a difference in that Jax game. Had great chemistry with Tyrod. Gaines was good when healthy, but Sammy can be such a game changer. -
I agree. Groy is going to do just what he did two years ago when Wood went down for half the season--come in and play just as well, maybe better. Cordy wasn't a factor this past year either, and Dawk will now be a sophomore which means he's going to be even better. So we lost Richie and need to replace our LG. He wasn't an elite guard, just a good one--i think Wyatt might win that in camp and do just fine in there. Actually more concerned with RT than anything else this season.

I need help: 2018 Bills Home Opener
Da webster guy replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally I wouldn't go to Hammers Lot as early as some say, you'll be fine rolling in at 9ish. The stadium always rocks wherever you sit, but the lower you go the louder it is. You'll have a blast. We owe the Chargers a smack in the mouth for the beatdown they gave us. I'm hoping Peterman plays and lights em up. -
Will try unsuccessfully to not follow bills message boards. Also fully expecting Incognito to be in the news in the next month for doing and saying something awful.

PFF draft grades
Da webster guy replied to Happy Days Lois & Clark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You mean his whopping two years at a legit college program? So "every stage" of his career means like 20 total games where there was game planning and basic similarities to a pro style offense. There is zero evidence he can't "read" HS or college defenses. Highest test score of all the top rook qb's, and is considered to have a strong football i.q. and ability to not make mistakes twice. -
Remember he used to call Greggg "the mouth that roared" he hated that guy. I loved listening to the coach, never did until the drought started, and he is generally a negative dude, but if the Bills are winning games i would imagine he'd be awesome. I'd tune in for sure. Learned a lot from his "coaches playbook", I had the print edition, wonder if it's online somewhere
