  1. I still feel bad for him. He had some nice plays he will remember his whole life, most recently that touch pass to Zay in the endzone. Hope he forgets the rest of the crap and all the negative and has a great life doing something he loves.
  2. What have these evil owners and commish done to Green Bay that has supposedly "hurt the franchise on the field?" They spent 20% of the cost of a new stadium and upgraded Lambeau nicely. It still feels authentic and like a real football game is being played there, not some futuristic video game like Dallas and Atlanta. I'm not berating you, but when Goodell says Buffalo needs a new stadium to "Compete" I laugh my ass off. He means to get more shared revenue boxes and suites sold. It has zero to do with competition. We aren't in that kind of market, we're outdoor football, throwback type fans with limited funds. One year I decided to buy part of a suite for my company, and we were all sitting there behind the glass watching 90% of the game on a TV screen feeling like this was the biggest waste of money of my life, because it was. If Roger wants to make more money for the owners he should take some of his $33 million dollar salary and give a million back to each team every year.
  3. i hate the idea of a dome, but I would agree that the vikings stadium is pretty amazing with all that glass and natural light. is that retractable? Can't imagine a football game without the elements. Imagine a nice or winter afternoon of tailgating and then step inside to a dome. We did it in Atlanta not long ago, and it sucks the life out of you. They don't tailgate there, it's all cement parking garages which is so lame, but we were just hanging outside and then went inside and it was tragic. personally i'd do what Lambeau did. Add some suites up and away and keep the rest the way it is. If I want glitz and huge video screens flashing and blaring all day I'll go to Vegas.
  4. Jags game at home after the bye. Final score will probably be like 6-3. I wonder if KBenjamin will blatantly push off in the endzone on FIRST DOWN at the 1 yard line and cost us the game like he did the last time we played them?
  5. He's thrown a few nfl td's, his toss to Zay was perfect. He's a half the field thrower, they need to roll him out if he's gonna throw to that side. Keep him in the pocket if he's going down the seams, and for god's sake no throws in the flat unless it's a pump fake to get the corner to think they're gonna get an easy one (why wouldn't they?) Funny I had this game as the one we'd be starting Josh after riding the bench for the first half of the season and learning the pro game. If only our GM could have done better in securing a vet to start the season.
  6. I agree with pushing for Teddy, next to Foles, he's the best backup in the league IMO. We could have had him for nothing in the offseason, or a 5th from the Jets. I don't think burning draft capital would have made sense considering what was available. We need to draft a center and a stud WR in the top 3 rounds next year, but there wasn't a decent option for us at center, and aside from Cooper who would have cost us a 1st, I'm not sure we missed the boat on the free agent WR's either. But Teddy was the play all along. If you look closely, most all of McCarrons good plays were throwing to A.J. Green, who can make Peterboy look like Favre
  7. Schmidt will come back with a vengeance. Bojorquez sure tanked his first pair of punts against the Patriots, they were like 25 yard average or something ridiculous. Get da Schmidt back in it
  8. exactly my point. If you see Ivory gashing them, and you know north south is the only way you are getting yards all night, go with what works. 3rd and 2 on the 50, one score game, Brady on the bench, Ivory just warming up, lets call a telegraphed pass in the flats and then punt. deserved to lose on that series right there
  9. Had some nice wrinkles that seemed more show than result, but I will say when we had Ivory running well, 3rd and 2 at midfield, one score down late 3rd quarter, he should have decided we were going for it there and run big Chris twice in a row for the 6 freaking feet we needed to keep Brady on the bench and move the chains. He calls a pass in the flat from his recently retired QB that was the worst judgement by both OC and qb that i've seen all year. Should have been a pick six, almost was. We punt and they rolled us for the next 18 minutes of the game.
  10. That's what all vets with kids who like their school district (except Fitz) tell their team. Wouldn't you say the same thing if you liked your cushy backup job and new superbowl ring? I would. He's probably telling the truth though, God hates a liar and Folesy is tight with the man upstairs. How else could he have caught that TD pass in the big game? Personally I think we should part with no picks or personnel unless we get a serious offer for Shady. We have Bears, Jets then a bye, and the kid will be back on Nov 24th at home vs the Jags, ready for phase two of his qb trainee program.
  11. I agree with you. I think Witten actually commented on that, which is rare considering he only had two salient points all night. But yes Tremaine made that exact same read/tackle earlier in the game as we all saw. It's a hard play for any LB, but Tremaine has the freak wingspan and closing speed. The second point Witten made was after watching film, all the TE's and WR's for Buffalo seemed to get little or no separation at the top of the routes, which means the throws have to be perfect or it's a pick or incompletion. Zay seems to be our only guy with the moves to get free.
  12. the pack should have made a run for Leveon Bell. biggest mistake you can make in sports or life, assume everything will go on like it is. Rogers could have a career ending injury tomorrow and they go into a 10 year drought up there.
  13. my advice would be to bring your vehicle there and take an UBER home. especially at a night game. You'll need your food, cooler, place to warm up, etc. you'll still have a blast either way, but having the homebase vehicle is helpful man
  14. He would have been a great mentor for the kid, no question, but Beane isn't giving up any picks to salvage this season, and I don't blame him. The move would have made sense to send a 5th rounder to the Jets for Teddy Bridge and beaten the Saints offer. He missed the boat on that, so we got a guy who was retired two weeks ago running our offense.
  15. You're dead on. I was so amazed at how the Pats fans justified that play. Like a lot of them, a few of them friends of mine. Their justification was if the refs don't eject you the league shouldn't suspend you, and that Tre was somehow deserving of that because he was mauling Gronk. Goes to show how smug pricks like Kraft and Belichick can trickle down through the organization, all the way to the fans. It never hit me until then. I lost a ton of respect for both of the friends that said that, one of them I was close with. Dickheads.
  16. Well he's got active roster spot but not active on gamedays yet. As with all 5th round picks, it's longer odds to end up as a starter, but it does happen. I think they had him mostly working at LG in camp, and would likely activate him if Vlad goes down. Immediate fill in would be Groy, but something happened to that dude and he seems to have huge lapses with balance on the field. I thought that Boettinger stood out in camp. Fast and massive dude, looked light on his feet.
  17. It would hurt the locker room, but I'm for it. I love the guy, but we're looking to the future obviously here, and I'd rather have the draft capital. Lot of great young runners in college ball this year.
  18. We'll see what we do with the 2019 4th round pick from KC that we got in exchange. Looks like it will be a late 4th rounder the way the Chefs are playing. Last year we stole Taron Johnson from Weber State in the 4th round, the kid is a natural NFL player who has shown some greatness already. The Ragman sure was a beast in college, but that means almost nothing anymore.
  19. Uh... Josh not winning fast enough for you yet? How about the other rook qb's in the league, theyre averaging 2 wins so far as well. They must all suck and meth head Chad is the answer. Its simple !
  20. Yeah he probably does, if that's the case he hit on Dawk, TreD, Milano and maybe even Zay is going to be good. If Allen pans out, we could have done the impossible in two drafts: Stud LT, Middle LB, Shutdown Corner and Franchise QB. Come on JOSH !!!!!
  21. Yeah so following that logic, Barry Switzer was an amazing coach and Don Shula sucked right? My point is the guy has Brady who needs zero coaching, his job is GM and defense and he's not done a very good job at either one. Brady got 500+ yards of offense in the superbowl and Bill couldn't even win with that. So overrated. Good halftime adjuster and overall a good coach, but not magic by any means. Do you remember how they scored zero points against us in Foxboro last year without Brady? Now that's a GENIUS for ya.
  22. Yeah that's about where I am too. The Vikes game was so much fun to watch. I'll admit with Josh out it's not nearly as exciting, I know the kids numbers aren't good but he just entertains me every time he's in. The diving TD's, the hurdle, etc. Threw his best back shoulder pass of the season the play before he got hurt. I like watching the BIlls even when they lose, just for the development part of it. Love the rookies, nice to see Zay getting open and catching the ball like he did in college. The dude was dominant in many games back in school, including the senior bowl he lit it up. He can emerge and be a solid Woods type guy for us. I had low expectations for the season, as all teams with rookie qb's should have. I also think our defense is going to play great on Monday night. We can get to Brady, and that's always fun.
  23. Beane has had one draft, and near as I can tell he's got a promising rook qb, with Edmunds, Harry, and Taron all gamers. McD isn't in charge of personnel, he's the coach, so he has to work with what he's given. This is not even halfway into the first year with rookies running our offense and defense. Seriously, what did you expect? Rosen has one win, Allen and Mayfield have two, and Darnold has three. All losing records, but all expected as the trainees learn the pro game. Should all the other coaches be fired too? Dude, get with the program. It never was about this year, be a little more patient. Your post might make sense after 2.5 more seasons, but not now.
  24. Pats defense hasn't been that good in awhile, despite the GENIUS in there. All that smug old Bill had to do was put a tiny bit of pressure on Foles and his team wins the superbowl last year. Legitimately wins, not like Pete Carroll or Shanahan trying to get cute and pass the ball when a run wins the trophy. Think he missed Chandler Jones and his 17 sacks last year? How about this year, Jones already has 6.5 and tons of pressures. Bill the GM sucks and I love it. hahahahaha Bill do another press conference so we can watch you squirm you weasel.
