Who Are You Rooting for the Rest of the Way?
Da webster guy replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love to see the Chargers make it in, just for Rivers sake, and to play Brees his old teammate would be perfect. Gotta love Foles though, as much as I loathe Philly fans in general. Hope the Pats and Cowboys go away quickly. -
Quenton Nelson - Indy OG ...#6 overall was worth it
Da webster guy replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody would have batted an eye if he went #1 overall in a draft like this one coming up. When he pulls it's hilarious to watch because usually he's on a LB or safety and they go flying. Has made a huge difference for Luck. -
Why take a knee with over a minute left?
Da webster guy replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD bet the under on the game and he was heard telling one of his homies later "that damn kid from Wyoming just kept scorin TD's bro.... i hadta do somethin rad..." So he started calling the old kneeldown play with tons of time left..... -
Tom Coughlin offended by... what, exactly?

4 year, $36 million extension for Quincy Enunwa
Da webster guy replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Whaley thought $8M was too much to pay Robert Woods. He's twice the player that Enunwa is. Basically this is saying we need to draft our WR's, the free agent market is already thin at receiver and stuff like this sets the bar so freakin high. KC must be dying after shelling out crazy money to Sammy "they call me Mista Glass" Watkins when what they desperately need is a better front 7 player. -
Depends on free agency. Seems to me there are a few more decent Olinemen to be had in free agency than good D linemen, so I'm leaning toward buying a few Oline guys and taking Best Big Boy Available for defense. (B.B.B.A method)

Kyle Williams: Officially Retires
Da webster guy replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I didn't mean take a job to pay the bills. He's not the kind of guy to sit around, that's the worst way to use money. It's not like he needed it this year either. Kyle strikes me as a Pride of Purpose guy. He's always talked fondly of LSU, I have a feeling coaching is in his future. Seems like a logical place to start. -

He should take a Dline coaching job at LSU. Work his way up. In five years he's head coach. -
Remember Cornelius Bennett when he first came into the league? He was pretty lean (the old #55 before he took #97) They put a bunch of solid muscle on him after that first and he never seemed to lose any speed. Just got better at taking on the 300 pounders. Seems like Milano did that too this season. I think they're going to try Tremaine one more season in the middle and do the same thing with him. He's build like a tight end, needs to be built like a run stuffer.

Kyle Williams: Officially Retires

Waste of a draft pick. The guy only scored ONE touchdown in his life. -
I agree with Alphadawg. The kid passes the eye test. He has pocket presence, elusiveness, and a knack for making plays. He isn't Drew Brees (who now has 70% completion percentage but had a 57% completion, 11 TDs and 15 picks in his 3rd season) but he will get there. The guys to worry about now are Beane, McD and Daboll. The way they do their jobs in the next 8 months are critical for what happens in the next few years. Beane has to have an all pro offseason. We already know Josh will be ready. .

I can't stomach reading Maoirana--(aka the New Jerry Sullivan) but I get the question. The answer is simple: Bring him in camp, draft another TE and sign a free agent as well. Did we conclude that Khari Lee is only a blocker? He sure had a great clutch grab in early ball this year. I don't know why but I feel like Logan Thomas isn't a gamer, despite his proven athleticism. Lot of free agent TE's this year as well and a very deep draft for TE's. Bring in 6 or 7, keep 4.

Merry Christmas Josh Allen and Family
Da webster guy replied to Jim Steele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah really glad we picked Josh. I was surprised, but he's been really fun to watch and seems a natural fit in Buff. Now it's Beane's turn. We already know he and McD can identify defensive talent, but they need to step up their game this offseason and build a TD scoring offense -
You did well. Geez good thing you simmered for a few hours. The Pats WILL fall a little further each game now, and our team is on the rise. In other news, Shaq Mason RG gonna be a free agent. I watched him a lot today, strong dude, plays low n nasty run blocker. Doesn't look big but he seemed to have a great game.
-
Exactly. I think they'll add ten pounds to him in the offseason either way, and the kid can start camp inside with another solid rookie prospect or free agent competing for the middle. His strengths are tackles in the flat, batted balls, and running/covering side to side. Weakness is power n leverage at point of attack and shedding blocks. We got Milano late, and Taron. Look for *****/McD to move on an MLB in 4th or 5th round (our double pick rounds).

These are Josh Allen's WRs...
Da webster guy replied to Boca BIlls's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh had a handful of mistakes, but like brian said, that game was also full of critical drops, not just for first downs but at least two for touchdowns. McKenzie. 1st drive killed by a drop on a perfect throw. Logan Thomas drops a touchdown in his hands. Foster misses on the perfect bomb throw. Sun or no sun, c'mon man at least get your arms up and give yourself a chance at catching it. Croom bad drop and also critical fumble. Im wondering if there is a physical difference in the type of player that can catch 65mph passes vs normal passes. Not kidding. Josh just seems to be putting the ball right on his receivers lately but the drops are everywhere. Beane said he likes qb's with big hands, does the same apply to WR's and TE's? -
I don't think he has all trash around him at all positions. Zay and Foster are good receivers. McKenzie gets big separation every time I watch him. The line isn't good but most NFL Olines aren't. The line played well and graded out well in the 2nd half, both Miller and Boettger even. Josh wasn't getting killed nearly as he had in previous weeks, certainly not as much as Rivers was vs KC or Cousins was last week. The sack at the end of the first drive that cost us 3 points was on Daboll for having him do a full drop on the 30 yard line instead of a quick out/throw away play. Its definitely not ideal but it's not gruesome out there like Carolina or Zona.

Who Should Be Fired
Da webster guy replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glenn hasn't done anything for us in two years, and yes the Richie/Eric thing was a surprise, but I agree with Chris Brown's take that he really hasn't been able to get any synergy going and the problem runs deeper than lack of talent or teaching technique. Brownie is pretty plugged in with the Bills, I take that as a sign that Castillo will be gone. If so, I hope it's done immediately after the Miami game so we can find our guru and he can have some input on the drafting/free agency moves we have to make here. Crossman must be doing something right to survive three different HC changes, but man he sure lost us the Jets game. Tasker pretty much blamed Crossman directly that Monday, saying if your guys don't look up to know where the ball is on a punt coverage this late in the season it's because it hasn't been drilled into their heads so that it's automatic. He doesn't think Crossman is thorough enough. -
Ted Washington not impressed with Bills DL
Da webster guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure how much that means from a 1 tech who pretty much just ate space in the old NFL. Remember when they trained him, it went something like this: OK Teddy here's your technique: Try to keep them from grabbing you. Keep eating a lot so you stay at 355. Pretend if they push you out of the middle you don't get to eat for a week. Repeat.
