Most Realistic 3 Round Mock from Draft Wire
Da webster guy replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Astro is so far ahead of these other Mocks as they relate to the Bills. He gets into the details of who we've scouted and why etc. He just released his draftek mock this morning. Has us going with 2 bama boys at 1 and 2, their LT and Irv Smith TE -
This Is Why Spending Big $ For A RB Is Not Wise:
Da webster guy replied to YodaMan79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mack for Indy seems to be the typical solid college back with pretty good vision, Thurman type size at 5'11 209lbs, but just happens to be playing behind a great Oline with a solid passing attack. Basically your passing offense needs to be good enough to keep a defense respectful of the throw, or you're running into a stacked box of NFL beasts all game. It's a great debate, and an interesting topic because RB's can change the game, but any decent undrafted runner can get good numbers behind a great line. I still laugh about Emmitt Smith's crazy numbers, they should have an asterisk next to them for all the runs he had a 10 foot wide hole you could drive a car through. -
TE Love for early picks in draft .. not me
Da webster guy replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
kelce, ertz and kittle drafted 2nd round, 3rd round and 5th round respectively. These guys might be more of a product of their OC and QB creating plays specifically to get them the ball as the first read than pure talent. Look at Ebron with Andrew Luck now. Same thing with OJ Howard, if you put that guy in the right environment he might become a game changer instead of a guy who was overdrafted. -

Hakeem Butler is the man. Get that Andre Reed 2.0 on this team -
Yeah that sounds about right. Like Beaner said, it's SO nice to not have to worry about getting a QB, unless you're picking 1 or 2 you have to bend over and overpay badly to get into the mix. We're going to end up with at least 11 picks this year, I can feel it. It's the perfect draft class to hit a home run. We could literally draft an entire offense or defense with that many picks.

You want fries with that?
Da webster guy replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When he was released is meaningless. You can spend all the money you want in DUI defense, there's video, officer testimony, employee testimony/video from the burger joint, and the breathalyzer evidence. He's nailed. -
I just don't see anyone trading up for anything but a QB this year. There are lots of great DT's in the draft, it wouldn't make sense to give up so much and draft a guy that might land in your lap anyway. Your scenario is interesting though. The key to getting a trade back is having a qb needy team think the team behind you is going to take a QB. In our case that's Denver, which is good. Look at what the Colts and Tampa got in their tradebacks last year. Huge value for just moving a handful of spots, and they still got the guys the wanted (Quentin Nelson and Vita Vea)

Oh the judges always love the Resisting Arrest on top of the Drunk Driving. So you're a drunk road hazard and when we try to take you off the road you're an aHole to the cops. Will the defendant please rise.... -
I agree with this, but we all know you can't judge QB's in their first season. Really you just can't do it. Rosen could end up being the first overall if we did the same exercise next year. Josh's knack for sensing pressure and his awesome Buffalo personality were two things I didn't see in him until he got to the NFL. That and his blazing game speed, which has to be a record for big white guys. His arm and intelligence were about all I saw in the kid as a college player.

Football insurers continue to get out of the market...
Da webster guy replied to row_33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmm. State Farm is the largest insurance company, and they're mutually owned (meaning owned by customers to buy their policies). They employ about 70,000 Americans and have almost never had layoffs in their history. The majority of insurance companies are publicly owned, so if you want you could buy shares and own them -
And just like that, we are all Rams fans.

That goes for the whole country. On the bright side, I get to wear my Bob Kraft Mullet Hat (it's just NOT OK to be 80 years old and grow a mullet after your wife dies. It makes you look sad and pathetic, not cool Bob) The other bright side is that the Rams match up better on defense, and Gurley has two weeks to get his head on straight and his body ready to go. Take away the run game, which we knew KC could not do, and you beat the Pats. Rootin for Robert Woods, Robey Coleman and Coach Wade. I don't expect coaching blunders like Pete Carrol and Shanahan in Atl giving away the games with stupid calls trying to get cute. Pats are going to have to earn this. -
Insurance bet for a pain free Patriots game
Da webster guy replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You called it. I DO feel dirty now. Im not collecting it, just gonna ride it on a bunch of prop bets with the kids for fun during the superbowl. As a die hard Bills fan, a free dinner from Brady will taste like dog**** anyway -

It will be the best $200 ive ever spent if I have to hand it over, it means I can enjoy the superbowl. -
Well I can't stand the thought of the Pats being in the bowl, so I placed an insurance bet risking $200 to win $270 on the Pats money line (NE to win outright). I'm prayin they lose, but if they don't at least i'm takin the family out for a steak dinner on the Boston Whiners. Pain Management. Thought I'd share.

I swear to god I had the exact same 5 except Winfield 5 and Teddy 4. I don't see how Bruce isn't automatic for #1 seeing as he was the best player to ever play DE in the history of the game, but I suppose there are certain guys (Like Paup in his monster sack year) where you could look at other guys. Gotta consider Jason Peters in his prime too. Def a top 10 all timer.

Tampa and Colts got some serious boosts from trading back last year, and they still got Quentin Nelson and Tampa got Vita Vea. On top of that they picked up massive draft capital. Tampa took two excellent corners in the second round with our picks. Also remember two years at this times most mocks had Mahomes as 2nd or 3rd rounder. QB's will definitely shoot up the boards before April. Teams get crazy over QB's. I'm praying for a tradeback.

Mel Kiper Mocks — 1.0 DT Rashan Gary 2.0 DK Metcalf
Da webster guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That exactly what I always say in all BPA conversations. How can you say Harrison Phillips was a better player than Taron, is a great FG kicker better than a great Olineman? One thing is certain, free agency has a massive impact on who picks who because it changes priorities, and so does pick trading up/down. Even if everyone had a crystal ball and could see how each college player would transition to NFL three years from now, it would still be impossible to hit on a mock draft before FA and pick trades. Although I will say a few mocks have us taking Ed Oliver and if you havent seen his highlights.....oh man is he a monster. If we do pick D in the first, remember how the Pats shredded us for 250 yards on the ground, and it was more than just us missing Milano that day. -
The fact that we desperately needed help at LB and WR and we have two very promising ones getting league-wide attention is enough for me man. Foster was a stroke of genius by Daboll. I think the kid has to have an all time record having more receiving yards in his NFL rookie season than all of his college yards combined. Too lazy to look it up but it's damn close I know that. I also know if you take the kids stats from week 10 on and look at what it would have been over a full 16 games, it's ELITE production.

I thought this was a joke because Maiorana and Sully are both simply awful, repetitive, overtly negative viewpoints and I didn't think they ever crossed paths any more. I can't listen to or read either one but it's funny they really still have a listening audience? Omg it must be the biggest waste of life tuning in to that nightmare. .

Do yourselves a favor and let the Josh Allen skeptics debate die. Its a waste of breath and in the end it's meaningless anyway. He was a good pick, he's fun to watch. It was him, Lamar or Rosen. We made the right call. Next topic....
