  1. Jets have enough new additions coming, and they'll have a chance to get QW or Bosa, probably the closest to a sure thing on the Dline we've seen in a long time. Of course any team will trade down for the right offer, but getting a stud Dlineman is something the Jets need. I doubt they move anywhere.
  2. This is a guess, but I think McD has been assigned to working with the scouts focusing on the LB and Dback evaluations. They're trusting the coach and scouting staff to produce another gem from day 3. I can see the meetings now McD: So is he a high character, high motor, hard worker? Staff: Yeah coach. He really is. McD: Smart? Get's along well with others? Team First Guy ? Staff: Yeah coach...he really is everything we want on our squad McD: Former Wrestl---? Staff (interrupting) No coach. Never wrestled. And he's uh....well he's an atheist. McD: He's trash. Who else ya got?
  3. And Ol' Marv made the kid sit on the bench. Had him returning kicks.
  4. Def a homer statement on my part. But I watch a lot of offensive film. I dont always know what routes are supposed to be run, but I do know separation when I see it, and we have four guys that do it very well. Foster had elite numbers from week 10 on, and Zay was only inconsistent his rookie year dude. Last year he made a big step in reliability and had huge plays for us. Josh doesnt need another WR, he needs pass protection, a run game, and a TE.
  5. Their draft board is set. Scouts will be reachable if needed but its Mayock and Gruden's show now. Neither one of those clowns has GM experience, and the two trades were headscratchers, but I feel awful for Raiders fans getting their team snatched away from them to relocate in another city, so I hope they have a crappy draft. Serves em right.
  6. Zero chance Beane takes Metcalf. If you know the NFL and you follow the Bills you know we have 4 WR that have proven they can get separation and catch the ball. Foster and Beasley will be a top tandem this year. Nobody can cover those two guys. What we don't have is TE, Edge, IDL, LB depth etc. I think we will go big men in 1st and 2nd. My guess is D first if Oliver is there, then Risner in the 2nd, otherwise Jawaan OT then Tillery in the 2nd. We arent getting suckered into an injury prone, steroid guy like Metcalf to be our WR5
  7. he's definitely trolling these guys are starting with the premise that we can't use 10 draft picks. Uh really? 2LB RB TE Edge IDL WR there's 7 right there without even touching Oline or Dbacks.
  8. Dude I always laugh at the Curb Your Enthusiasm, You Guys Are Too Excited About This Guy or This Team etc. people. I could never imagine in a million years typing "hey you guys need to slow down, we still don't know about Josh Allen...." The best thing in life is enthusiasm and positivity. That's all there is. It's all I teach my kids, it's the only kind of people I hang around, and it's the most important characteristic of a winner. I don't get it. Had to move seats during the snow game vs Indy because the aholes next to us were complaining and yelling negative stuff constantly even though they were Bills fans. (luckily we had 20,000 available seats by halftime to choose from)
  9. I'm so embarrassed that I wanted Rosen instead that I call myself a loser everytime I look in the mirror

  11. A trade up is out of the question. Our team is neither desperate for a QB, nor on the edge of greatness where one HOF type player would put us over the edge to a championship. Those are the only two reason you would trade up. We're too thin at Dline, LB, TE, OT and RB to give up our second rounder, where we'll surely grab another productive player. The whole beauty of where we sit and NOT needing a qb is to do exactly what Indy and Tampa did last year: let someone else reaching for a QB overpay you for your spot, get multiple FREE high round draft picks, and still grab the dude you want all along. Tampa grabbed TWO great cb's in the 2nd round from our picks AND still nailed Vita Vea at 12. Indy did the same with the Jets, still got Quinton Nelson and picked up huge draft capital along the way. It's rare to be in our spot, Beane isn't going to blow it by pulling a Whaley/Sammy Watkins blunder.
  12. We have four proven starters at WR, and some good depth like Duke Williams etc. They all get separation and can catch. Also very deep at Guard now. I agree with Tackle, TE, RB Dline LB Our thinnest position is LB for sure, I think we'll take two in the draft. Two RB's, a tackle and a TE minimum
  13. By now we've seen a ton of mock drafts, each one of them different from the next one. Just to remind you that nobody has ANY clue, Google up yourself some 2018 NFL.mocks and get ready to laugh at how hopelessly wrong they all are. Not only will it show you how the draft experts are completely in the dark on this whole thing, it also gives a glimpse into how incredibly different the NFL would look if some of these guys were right. ( ie.Josh Allen and Chubb to Browns and we take Rosen and VanDerEsch) With the exception of Saquon to the Gmen, most of them have zero correct picks. Zero. And we think weathermen are wrong a lot.....
  14. instead of hugging Roger Goodell, I hope whoever we draft kicks him in the nuts.....
  15. Obviously anything can happen, Beaner moved up twice last year in the first, but I agree it really seems silly to do unless you're freaked on a player. A move up would cost us at least a 2nd, or a next year's first. Either way, we're in a good spot at 9. There will be sick talent there.
  16. I'm with you, but they still need to add some heated areas for the non-club seat people to go warm up. The snow game vs Indy was a crisis situation with literally nowhere to warm up the kids. We had to leave early, and saw some high school kids in serious trouble with frostbite/hypothermia. Even the bathrooms don't have heaters. I know this is nitpicky, and I love New Era the way it is, just needs a few little add-ons. I will say I love that Minny stadium though with all that glass it's like a greenhouse. I think the idea is a downtown stadium would fill up the hotels and have other uses that would draw crowds and money to the area. I don't think Pegula would put many corporate suites in, knowing it's a lame way to watch a game and they're way overpriced.
  17. That's kind of what I'm saying. We need a difference maker on defense, and Metcalf is going in the 1st so we can't have both. My vote is best run stopper we can get in the 1st.
  18. Well, both these Iowa guys are probably going to go in the first round, which has to be a record that might never get broken again. Two TE's from the same team NFL 1st rounders. Pretty wild. Hock seems like a perfect McD guy. Busts his ass, plays to the whistle, humble etc. The question is, how much is that Patriots2 game sticking in Beane's mind when we sat there and hopelessly gave up 6 ypc and nearly 300 yards to Sony Michel and co. When you can't stop the run even when you know it's coming, it's embarrassing to everyone in the organization and the fans. I know I can't get over that game, and remember thinking we had better fix this in the draft or it's gonna keep happening. With that in mind, does a TE in the first make sense with some major run stoppers on the board? I want a stud TE too, but I look at guys like OJ Howard (went 19th) and Ebron (10th overall) and can't help but wonder how many games these guys have won for their teams. Would they burn a 1st rounder on them again in a re draft? I think Daboll will be the key here. For some reason I see him preferring four pure receivers out there and a blocking TE on empty sets, which he seemed to use more and more as the season went on, vs a receiving TE and 3 WR's. In that case I think Beaner will lean a little toward DL in the first and I'm convinced he's taking OT Risner in the 2nd. (I've never made a single draft prediction correctly tho. Leave that to Astro.)
  19. Just need to make sure he doesn't get the Trent Murphy syndrome where his leg injury is fine but the rest of his body needs more tuning up and other injuries result. Esp hammies, which can nag all season. Milano has a history of hamstring strains so we need the trainers to be all over this kid. Sure helps that he's only 25. I'm still surprised Beane didn't make a run at CJ Mosley, one of the best LB's in the game, at a position we really are thin at. Balt couldn't afford to keep him, but we could have. He did four straight pro bowl seasons thumping for the Ravens and they had to let him go. That's gonna hurt them next season mark my words.
  20. I have seen Mock's that actually make sense with Quinnen Williams dropping out of the top 5. He's the only dude I would trade up for if he dropped out of the top 5. Your defense just got 20% better in one shot. One shot. I love Bosa but the Q is the best defensive player to come along in years man. Film, combine, work ethic, the dude is a home run. I pray he doesn't go to the Jets.
  21. Honestly I thought they were going to go for CJ Mosley when the Ravens foolishly let him walk despite 4 consecutive pro bowls for them. He's a durable monster in the middle, but has instincts enough to get picks and can cover. Then kick Edmunds out to flex depending on down and distance, rotation with Lorax or Milano, injury etc. As evidenced in the 300 yard rushing game we gave up to NE when Milano was hurt, we rely way too much on that guy and have no answer for when he's out.
  22. Some legit draftniks had Allen going first in last year's crew. I'd say 1st as qb, but Josh will always be a debate there until he tightens up his throwing and proves the skeptics wrong. That's why i'm convinced Beaner was signing Cole Beasley no matter what the cost, he knows Josh needs a short range/move the chains Edelman type receiver that can get quick separation, and Beasley is one of the best there. It's why I think he'll take Hock in the event of a trade down too. Or Irv in the 2nd.
  23. His wife and kids must be pretty patient people too. Sure....Dad's knocking out a $50M career but man do we move a lot and holy cow is he never home from August to January. Wonder if in his deal we was able to keep his home in Tampa and get use of the company jets to pop him back and forth from Miami during the season. It like a 4 hour drive without traffic. At least get the old timer an RV with a driver so he can crash out and recharge on the commute.
  24. I'm not a fan of him for our team simply because I think we have 4 guys that have proven themselves to be able to get separation and move the chains, and I can't stop thinking about how embarrassing it was when the Patriots were simply handing off the ball and Sony Michel and Burkhead etc. gashed us for almost 300 yards, over 6 ypc. You can have three Julio Joneses and still not win a game with that kind of defense. We just can't ignore that kind of shredding, and if we're in a position to land a game changing defensive guy who can help us stop the run I believe we need to do it.
  25. Not at 9 they won't. I just can't imaging the Bills big board has him ahead of Ferrell, Oliver, etc. But in a trade back (or a trade up late in the first) I could see them grabbing him. I think Daboll's opinion of Irv at TE is a huge factor here. He knows him extremely well from his time at Bama and we may have him ahead of where other teams do (or behind).
