We all said "just dont take a sack at this point on the field" and you'd think Daboll would have called a quick pass, handoff, anything but a full 7 step drop. Same exact playcalling fail that Shanahan did in the superbowl Falcs vs NE, cost them the game as well. Already in fg range, never give up that 3pts because its just as important as the 7. Score is meaningless at that point, its all about possessions.

Sad that one drunk idiot gets this much attention. We have an awesome fan base, and a handful of losers like every single fan base in the world. Personally, if I were Cody I would have laughed it off and not repeated it simply because it gives life to such a hollow, stupid comment made by a few scumbags.

Exactly. He never took a hometown discount, the scheme he and Kraft cooked up with the TB12 crap gets him compensated off the books so they have more cap space. Frankly, I don't care if he retires or not, he's lost his abilities. They have either bent or broken the rules over and over again but even the Cheatriots can't dupe father time. Ending his career on a pick six is beautiful.

Agree 100% We all said after they ruled he gave himself up that it would have been something the Patriots would whine about but not Bills fans. We didn't deserve a TD there.

Brady isnt playing anywhere else at this point in his career. Not good enough, doesnt need the cash, doesn't need another ring, the guy is done. He's been hiding behind that defense for a full year now, and he's done. Funny how he's just realizing now that you don't get to pick the number of years you play in the NFL, your performance level decides that, and the decision gets made for you.

Two biggest plays of the year at critical times in the game on both on primetime TV was the John Brown double reverse toss to Motor for a TD and the second was a TD throw to tackle eligible Dion Dawkins. Opposite of vanilla and predictable. (chocolate and unpredictable?) I agree that he can be overly conservative but remember he works for McD who believes punting and playing great defense will eventually put you in a good position to win. In some of those 3rd and long situations where the play call is lame (and predictable), that's Sean in Daboll's ear saying I don't want a turnover with my young QB forcing a pass, lets boot it and play defense we'll have the ball right back here in this same spot in 5 minutes.

Smoke vs Hopkins stats this year
Da webster guy replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I posted this because I love Hop as a fantasy player and usually have the guy on my team. As a result, I watch the shorcut version of the offense on DVR and I've seen pretty much every Houston offensive play this year. He and Deshaun are kind of the same player in that they'll blow your mind one minute and then go flat for quite awhile this past season. Started thinking about how consistent John Brown is and how many 3rd downs he converted being wide open even when they knew Josh was likely going to him. Looking at the numbers confirmed it for me. DHop is hall of fame quality but having a bit of a down year and Brown had a strong year. To my idiot eyeball test, Brown is better at getting open and he's simply done more NUMBERS wise per target than Hopkins. Hop may be the league leader in snagging balls when he's covered, great high pointer, body lean into the CB, hand control, etc. and he didn't get credited with a single dropped pass in 2018 which has to be a record on more than 100 targets. I still think Brown is his equal this season in productivity. -
D Hopkins targeted 150 times caught 104 balls 1,165 yards 7 TD's John Brown targeted 115 times caught 72 balls 1,060 yards 6 TD's Both dudes sat out week 17 Hop averaged just 7 yards per game more than Smoke , with one more touchdown on the year despite 35 more targets. He makes amazing catches, but he's not significantly more productive than Brown this season. If you look at yards and/or points per target, Brown comes out quite a bit ahead. I'm guessing Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson are probably worrying Frasier and McD more than Hopkins, despite all the press he's getting.

Titans Fans Cheering for the Bills
Da webster guy replied to KitchenerKaizer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we win and Titans knock out NE it will be the single greatest sports day of my 52 years on planet earth. Even if we lose the next round, I'll be so satisfied it won't even phase me -
Bills at Texans: What's On Your Menu?
Da webster guy replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Half of a magic gummy from Colorado at 3:30pm sharp, all day IPA's, Boneless hot wings with the blue cheese I just got from Duffs in Henrietta an hour ago (she said they actually put WINE in the blue cheese is that right?) Blown up picture of JJ Watt's hot girlfriend on the fridge, just to make me hate the guy a little more every time I go for a refill. 11x17 Poster that says "Trust the Process" but I crossed out the "Trust" and wrote "F*ck The Process...Just Win Baby" New 2020 Bills bandannas for both dogs. The cat is a patriots fan, doesn't wear bandannas but seems to enjoy whining, crying and placing blame on everyone else when it screws up. Picture of me taken just after Dallas win on Thankgiving where I look happier than my wedding day AND the birth of my children (combined) 8x10 glossy of Sal Maoirana and Jerry Sullivan talking after a Bills game a few years back. A reminder that no matter how bad things get, at least I'm not a negative doom and gloom pessimist like those two dopes. Two pretyped text messages ready to send out to all my skeptical friends, one for if we win, and one if we lose ( i won't be in typing shape either way when the game ends): 1. "How bout them Bills Baby ! I toldjya so you dumbass Mf'er's all owe me 50 bucks" 2. "I just sent you $50. Choke on it. Don't call me until Feb 1st" -
Dolphins hire Chan Gailey as OC

My all time favorite game caller and coordinator. I would've loved to have Chan next year if Daboll takes off -
Houston vs us basic stats.

I dont know why but Duke Johnson scares me. The dude is streaky but he gets underestimated sometimes coming out of the backfield. Runs hard, good hands, we need to account for him. -

Depends on who we would have picked in the 3rd and 7th round, so we'll never know. I DO know we dumped Sammy that year after he and Tyrod lit it up in the 2nd half of the previous year, and that left us lean at the WR position. (Prior to that, Whaley felt $8m was too much to spend on Robert Woods, which was awfully shortsighted) In our Jax playoff game, we isolated KB on 1st and goal at the 3 yard line, he does a ridiculously blatant push off on the defender, the stupid penalty backs us up 10 yards and we end up settling for the field goal and eventually lose the game by 3. That was our first playoff game in 17 years and a winnable game that in my opinion came down to that mistake. KB was a player who didn’t seem to buy into the team-first concept, never looked like he was giving maximum effort, and produced not like the No. 1 receiver he was purported to be, but like a backup, as he totaled just 39 catches for 571 yards and two touchdowns in 18 games. FYI Ravens pro bowl TE Mark Andrews went one pick after Carolina whiffed with our 3rd rounder.

Right now all that matters is he had a productive game and is healthy going into the playoffs. The money is meaningless, we're going on the road to win a playoff game in 5 days.

Appreciate this team and season
Da webster guy replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I think most of us are grateful and appreciative. We have a fun team to watch, good owner, coaches and players. There will always be the negative fans who demand perfection, but every team in the league has been beaten multiple times this year, and the one thing we know about the playoffs is any team can win it all if they have a little luck. This would be the best Saturday of all time if we can advance and the Pats get popped by the Titans. -
Bills at Texans Playoff Game, Saturday 4:35 pm

Sweeney is good but Smith is going to be needed vs Mercilus, JJ Watt etc. He's a tough blocking veteran. Kroft is another story.... -
Interesting stat on passing leaders
Da webster guy replied to bigbuffs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
..... Of the six top passing offenses in the NFL this season, only one will play on into January (Kansas City)." This was def shocking. Makes me feel even better about the Beane, McD, Frasier group. If I were Pegula I'd ink these guys for as long as possible. -
Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
Da webster guy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well we used Micah Hyde back there in punt returns already, he's a huge part of our defense. And lots of other great returners like Rod Woodson, Deion Sanders, Edelman, Tyreek were their teams best skill position player. I expect they'd use Micah again instead of Tredavious, simply because he's so sure handed and taken reps there since camp and in the regular season, but I disagree with you on that comment. Its a critical position that can swing a game one way or the other. -

Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
Da webster guy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sweeney no but Duke was the 3rd leading receiver in the league today so far, busted a 100 yds with backup qb playing Jets starting defense. Gotta consider mcKenzie returns kicks and the Duke stays active, as much as I love Roberts.
