Gunner's roster thread.... 2020 style - UPDATED
Da webster guy replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love Siran and Taron as nasty hitters but don't trust either in coverage as a corner. Both safeties in my book. Cam Lewis might be the surprise at cb -
And Leveon is gonna pay. Again. That dude embarassed us a few years ago in the worst way, I love watching our defense contain and kill. Just when he thought his putrid 3 ypc in 2019 could only get better, he's gonna start 2020 even worse.

Norwood’s XXV game jersey up for auction

And as an added bonus we'll throw in the Captains hat from the Titanic and the piece of shrapnel that caused the space shuttle to explode. -
Bills Entire Marketing Dept Steps Down
Da webster guy replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marketing department for an NFL team. Its like having a dozen meteorologists at a San Diego news station. Great job guys... we uh.... well its sunny and 78 AGAIN thats 4000 days in a row i tellya we wouldn't know what to do without you. -
Youse ready for part deuce?
Da webster guy replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Imagine Gase as your coach and Leveon as your best offensive player. At least dem Jets got da Bald fireman guy. I wouldn't trade dat dude for a one a Ma's grilled cheese sangwiches. -
Haha oh I forgot about Baghdad Bob, good reference. That joker stood there on Iraqi TV (their only news station) and insisted the U.S and her allies were getting defeated and driven back, meanwhile we are systematically pummeling them and advancing closer everyday. I think on his last day we literally took out their communication tower on his building while he was saying Iraq has things under control

The Bills are taking this secrecy thing way too far. They are gonna cut a bunch of guys before the opener who will have tons of information much closer to game day. Then after opening Sunday every team is going to have film and information on every other team. Lighten up you guys, please. If Beane is truly investing in people to scour social media to find information, then he can just bring in one of the 27 Jets players cut on Sept 5th and get their entire playbook. In fact, there will be over 600 guys across the NFL waiver wire that will be cut by 9/5, every team's camp activity will be transparent anyway within a few days because of all the information out there and the opposing teams bringing in guys to "evaluate' them. Do they really think Chris Brown, who is a true blue Bills fan, is going to impact a game a month from now by talking about where some non-starting rookie is going to rotate in at Dline? Cmon man.

Jets offense vs backups in their scrimmage today
Da webster guy replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well they didn't manage much better against our backups in week 17. Although they did manage to squeak out the win despite Barkley outgaining Darnold in passing yards, which was nice because it dropped them down a few more draft spots for every round. -
Thats how I saw it too as a guy who knows nothing about Oline play. What happened last year in camp was Feliciano turned out to be an animal at RG and flat out won the job. Now you have a rookie guard you spent a lot of draft capital on and you want to get him experience but sitting Feliciano isn't an option. Platooning the RT position was their answer, then Ty gets hurt and Cody falls into a full time RT. Williams is a very good tackle when healthy, which he seems to be right now. Opening day is less than 3 weeks away, this is a no brainer for Bobby Johnson.

Would YOU pay for a ‘Bills Network’?
Da webster guy replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me too. Also put the shortcut 30 min version of every game they play in an easy searchable index. NFL is so behind the times with this stuff its a joke. They need a bright young tech savvy Commish instead of bloated ol' Roger with no personality walking around spewing about how everyone needs billion dollar stadiums. The shortcut versions of games are so great but vastly under-promoted. Showing each play which takes 3-10 seconds each you can watch an entire regular season in a day. -
Right. 11 wins in his 1st full NFL season including taking his team to overtime in the playoffs. (Ok 10 wins but we sat everyone and the Jets still almost lost) SIX game winning drives. 2 picks in his last 11 games. More touchdowns than Brees and Brady last year. Yeah this guy is a Real liability. Cmon man.

Yolo or any of you guys who insist on there being only one training camp thread, consider the guy who gets on this site every two or three days. Say I already read the massive thread that was started Day 1, but now it's day 4 and the original Day 1 thread is now 30 pages long. I don't want to re-read the Day 1 stuff but in order to read Day 2,3,4 I have to scroll through all the posts to find where Day 1 left off and Day 2 started. This seems counter intuitive to me. Whats wrong with a daily camp thread with the date on it so I can easily find and read the stuff I haven't read? Seems backward to me, but then again I thought the Sammy Watkins trade up was a good idea at the time so........

I thought it was cancelled after Flutie left three decades ago.

Flu season usually peaks between December and February, our hospitals in Roch aren't ever near max capacity even during January of 2017 which was one of the worst we've seen in a long time. Your take is a classic doom and gloom. The game will be played as long as testing is adequate and protocols followed properly by the players. Obviously putting fans in the stands are unlikely until a strong treatment or vaccine is proven, so nobody has a clue on that yet, but to say a team can't accurately rapid test and quarantine well enough in 4 months to put 50 healthy players on the field safely every Sunday is overly pessimistic.

great post. I'll add that kneeling shows reverence and respect. We kneel when a player gets hurt or in church etc. It's not like talking through the national anthem or staying seated. Furthermore, it's possible to show respect to your country but also kneel in support of making it a better place. When people start spewing hatred toward those kneeling because they fought in a war or feel it's disrespectful to the military, they'll likely never change their view on it, but as you say Doc, if you think it through, that's exactly what we were fighting for since America began.

WaPo article on Bills by John Clayton
Da webster guy replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A guy that throws 2 picks in his last 11 games is not doing too much. He's not playing hero ball anymore, he is extending plays and pushing his team to win like a good qb must do. Half of the national media still thinks Josh turns the ball over all the time. They simply havent watched him play very much. I love Clayton, and he always seems like he does his homework, but anyone that uses the term hero ball w Josh is living way in the past. -
Week 17 - Playoff Implications
Da webster guy replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would rather have had KC game last week of the season so we could rest our starters against them. -
The nice thing about having a strong culture is everyone works hard to not let the rest of the team down. I can't think of a selfish player on the team. No Maybins, Marcels, Kelvin Benjamins, Karlos, etc

Yeah the worst thing that happened to Barkley was last years Jets game. Three picks and a crappy game at home, which ruined his sweet 2TD, no picks 117 QBR game from the year before which his best game as a pro. I'm not saying Beane wouldnt have picked Fromm anyway, the guy had to be jumping off the BPA board so late in the draft, but last offseason we were very comfortable with Bark.
