  1. Whatever they did it helped. McD calling the D in second half maybe?
  2. Yeah 1st down is the key. Couldn't we just get a dive by Yeldon or Motor on 1st down and see how that goes first before we subject our franchise qb to a nasty pileup on the goal line? He took a helmet shot right in the back on that one.
  3. I heard him talking about that, he also said switching from side to side as a tackle or guard is not easy. Your hands have to reverse everything.
  4. Yeah and his open hip throws are more wrist and flick than wind up and chuck. His release keeps getting faster, the TD to Diggs last week he had no room to wind up or time to throw but he zips it out somehow and hits a TD that meant the difference in the game. Watching the game yesterday we were laughing at all the replays where the ball is in the perfect spot every throw. Takin it for granted now.
  5. Josh may be able to stop the bleeding for the Jets but he'd get killed in the process. They've tried to boost that Oline but its pretty awful. I still think Darnold has a shot at being a franchise guy somewhere, just not in NY.
  6. yup. The only slight disadvantage might be getting rested players but some NFL coaches in the past have said after a week off you can come out flat too. Plus the way we are changing up things each week, there isn't a whole of gameplanning they can do until they see how we beat the Raiders.
  7. Yeah Jefferson had a slow start to the year but great game Sunday. I've been hoping he would come through for the Vikes, the more we get to know Diggs, the more I see how much of a hole he left in that organization. Cousins was putrid two weeks ago. 113 yards, 3 INT's vs Colts. Yikes.
  8. Elusiveness and pocket presence is really tough to assess in the transition from college to pros. Josh was already a good QB before this season because of that. If you can buy an extra 2 seconds you're almost always throwing to guys with good separation, if you can't then you have to be pinpoint which he never was until this year. I swear Daboll WANTS the defense to send a free blitzer because the first guy there always seems to whiff embarrassingly and now somebody is open.
  9. Last week our Dbacks are led the team in tackles, i think Poy and Taron were 1, 2 vs Rams. Tre isn't 100%, Hyde went down, Norman is old, Levi is streaky.... Our front 7 needs to have better gap control and tackling or our Dback situation will get worse with these guys playing run support vs rb's with a full head of steam.
  10. Here's a simple fix, Dont click on a thread you dont want to see. Duplicate threads for you might not have been seen by less frequent visitors. Thats the beauty of message boards, you're free to skip anything you want.
  11. gee never thought of that. they really are all slot guys. Biggest concern is Waller and Jacobs may be the best in the league at their position. It's a tall order for Milano and Edmunds. Its kinda sad I remember when the schedule came out, we were all saying how the Bills playing in Las Vegas is gonna be half Bills fans and we were so looking forward to the trip. Now at least we're playing as a favorite looking to go 4-0, that will help ease the pain.
  12. They really should have showed that on Bermans fastest 3 minutes. Badassery at its finest.
  13. final OLine after week 8 Dawk Cody lg Mitch Mongo rg (welcome back mauler) Williams We can ride that line to the playoffs.
  14. And quick release not a big windup. The kid is really sharp right now.
  15. 35 yards passing at the end of the 1st half. Yikes. In fairness to Lamar, he doesn't have the kind of weapons we have or KC has. Josh TD to Diggs Sunday was a Lamar type throw with that wrist flick. He didnt have time or the space to wind up so he just whipped that forearm. Awesome. .
  16. What about Star? Can guys who have opted out come back? Not sure where the problem is on the front 7 run defense, but if we keep letting RB's run through us not only will we start losing games, its hard on the smaller db's to be tackling these beasts with a full head of steam.
  17. Great pick so far. We missed John Brown badly yesterday, he and Josh are elite when it comes to buying time and getting open. Davis is in the perfect spot to learn and grow
  18. Not only that, but the retired ref (Periera?) who the announcers consulted with also said it was a penalty all the way. I trust his impartial take on the play more than Woods. Sorry Robert, maybe he's still pissed because Whaley didn't think he was worth $8M per year. And the ref consultant also disagreed with the Kroft INT call but so would anyone with two eyes and a basic understanding of the rules.
  19. Its all about Milano and Tremaine. The middle of the field has been open for passing and running the past few games, both of those guys were either out or not 100%. Tremaine and Tre D both amazing players but did not have their best games yesterday. We looked slow and reactive on defense for a lot of that game. I agree if you can't stop the run (this week) or the pass (past two weeks) you had better be scoring a lot of points. Luckily we seem to be able to do that.
  20. This always frustrates me, pro receivers not checking in with whats happening after the snap with qb protection. Nothing worse than half your wr's running deep routes when a blitzer is coming free to your qb. John Brown is the best at this. Always cuts his route short and gets available if he feels like the heat is on Josh prematurely. We missed that guy yesterday, he would have moved the chains for us and slowed the game down in the 2nd half.
  21. 'Valuable' player has always been a little loosely defined. Some people look at it as it simply meaning the best player but others look at it like "well without this guy their team is screwed, he's the most valuable" What if there's a great backup behind him, does that make him less valuable? Either way, #17 is good enough to win a championship with, and thats all I care about.
  22. And he had the Bengals fever-- makes a man try to lose at all costs-- but he shook it.... Biggest concern right now is John Brown He's the master of the 3rd down and a huge piece of this offense. Noticeable drop without him there, we have to get him back. He has a knack for knowing when to blow off his route, come back to help Josh when he's scrambling his ass off. He's better at it than anyone I've ever seen. Last year even though every defense knew he was our primary target JB would be open by a mile on 3rd and long.
  23. Wha? Wait more money at the cost of players health? No preseason and no fans, owners are not to blame. Players union has been trying for years to shorten or eliminate preseason. Like Tasker said this morning (when Chris Brown wasn't cutting him off every 20 seconds) there were an inordinate amount of non-contact injuries and he attributed it to not easing players into regular action.
  24. Shaq reminds me of lil' Donte Whitner. Got drafted too high, flashed in some games, disappeared in a bunch. A decent pro, will be in it for a 10-ish year career. He probably owes Rex a little money for the over-inflated Clemson factor.
  25. He really shined in the playoff game at Houston and seems to be keeping his momentum going.
