Cook fastest ball carrier of week 13
Da webster guy replied to Maine-iac's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah he may actually end up having a better career fhan Dalvin. Those boys can play ball. -
The 1 seed is the cheat code. Its essentially a free playoff win, rested players and your home crowd for both games. That's why I laugh at all people saying its just another win. We went from 2 games back to a half game back. That's not "just another win". I think we go to the bowl with the 1 seed and we don't go without it.

the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
Da webster guy replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's one for ya: Look at all the coaches Brady made great who sucked as head coaches without him as their QB Weiss Mangini Belichick Crennel Patricia McDaniels I'm probably forgetting some. They all were fired head coaches once TB wasn't there to make them look good. Josh did the same thing for Daboll and if he wasn't around McD would be back as a coordinator somewhere 100%. You either get lucky with a franchise qb or you're fired in two years. -
Mikie you've gotta lighten up man. Its OK. Baltimore is a very good team, (half asleep? that's a new one) But they've lost three games. I agree nobody has beaten us that badly in recent years but every team loses games every year. Heck the Chiefs lost six last year and still got the trophy. But this is a thread about Samuel, who is a surprise to me this season considering how talented he is. Dominant college player and a very solid NFL guy prior to this season. Super versatile and by all accounts he's a hard worker too. McD and Brady can be maddening sometimes but they seem to get the most out of their players, so I'm chalking this one up to a nagging injury that's preventing him from being explosive, getting separation. Whatever it is, we should have a play or two for this guy if and when he's healthy to jumpstart his confidence and break this ugly streak of non-impactful games he's had here.

Every time I go to camp at St John Fisher near my house, Morris always seems to standout in practice with his grabs. I was proud of him battling last year in camp and kudos to Beane for keeping him over OJ Howard who we had guaranteed a decent sized contract and had to eat a lot of money there. In his third year now, big Q's was only targeted 14 times in his career going into the Miami game yesterday. That's a lot of husting and work for a very small amount of offensive action but the guy is clutch. He really does catch everything. And at 6'2 250lbs he's an ideal linebacker size for special teams. Came through for us in a big way yesterday. Happy for the guy he deserves it.

Exactly. All eyes on the Chiefs game. Handing them a loss and winning the head to head will have huge implications late season. Balt has three losses now too, thanks Jameis.

I don't think Amari is going to draw double coverages until he starts torching defenses. We see two high safeties almost all the time, like most teams. Amari isn't a deep threat speedster anymore so i think you'll see the the cb's playing over the top and safeties looking to undercut the slants/inside moves. But isolated vs man red zone he's going to eventually be an automatic throw the way Diggs was if he got singled. The issue is obviously chemistry and timing with Josh, and no more body catches by Cooper, that doesnt work very well with #17 fastballs. Deshaun had some beautiful throws to Cooper when he had no separation and he has a knack for coming up with the ball. I get the feeling db's dont look forward to going against this guy. he's slippery

Oline run blocking is really effective this year. Downhill blocks and getting into second level without getting illegal man downfield calls is hard to do and we seem to be good at it. Even vs Balt we did that well. Obviously at the end of the game facing a prevent defense with only a six man box you think we would’ve continued to pound the rock but unfortunately we didn’t. big 90 Dewayne is a force. Great 3rd rounder so far. Also Solomon #56 at edge is another rookie to watch. Great motor. Strong attacker. Flashed again today.
-
Yeah Dewayne Carter deserves more time in the rotation he’s got mad power. Good for the rooks to get time, Cole Bishop welcome to playing safety in the NFL. not worried about defense overall just our poor pass rush and our kicker is super unreliable. That’s gonna cost us the fkin season unless it gets fixed.

It was two drunk losers heckling him. He's a big boy in the NFL im pretty sure he didn't lose any sleep over that.

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Da webster guy replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Perfect illustration as to why Beane took Coleman over Worthy. On the Coleman TD catch he and Worthy ran pretty much identical routes one day apart Worthy can't separate on his route in the endzone and the Falcons cb should have picked it off. Keon runs the same route and gets open for the score. Game Speed is all that matters. I wonder if the analytics geeks could show Keons speed on the TD because you could see him hit the jets in the middle of his route. Im willing to bet he was going faster than Worthy last night, he certainly was more open. -
What time to show up for tailgating on Monday?
Da webster guy replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kickoff 730 so most people start wrapping up around 6-630. If you want a three hour tailgate (plenty for me) you're parking around 3 I would suggest walking through Hammers Lot at some point between 4-6 its awesome to experience -
Worthy has shown no separation for the Chiefs other than the blown coverage in week 1. On the big one handed Int today he was single covered and blanketed by the Bengals corner. Chiefs fans are anointing this guy a HOF lock, Im predicting he's a 170 lb gadget player only in the NFL.

Ravens fans have to be discouraged. The team is exactly the same every year, disorganized, lots of stupid penalties, undisciplined and relying solely on Lamar to scramble on broken plays. Chris Jones is all world, and their answer was to put a RB or TE on him half the time. It’s head scratching. On those times when they doubled him they didn’t have good enough technique to even slow the guy down. Zay Flowers in the end zone at the end of the game was wide open but kept running his route instead of sitting down in the open spot. Cost them the game. His inexperience showed there.

We're still going to average 30 pts a week as we have for the last four years and be in the hunt at the end of the year. Last year our best two targets were Shakir and Kincaid, who will be even better this year with some experience. We were one Chris Jones bullrush vs Dawkins away from beating KC last year (and maybe a Diggs drop). You hafta have some luck to win it all. Hey the Chiefs lost SIX games last year and still got the title. Anything can happen. I can't help but laugh when people are afraid our WR's aren't good enough. Look at what Brady, Rodgers and Mahomes have done with average WR's. Josh is no different. This is a fun team that wins a lot. That's good enough for me.

Did you get the Sunday Ticket this year?
Da webster guy replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends on how many people would pay a reduced rate that otherwise pay zero. Seems like a lot here pay zero. For sure everyone should at least be doing student rate or veteran discount. If you think hard you know one or the other. Then there's the free stream off reddit link option, and you can always use the old Directv satellite dish option for out of town folks, and just have them install a dish setup at your house wherever you are, then call in a few weeks and say you're moving to buffalo and taking your dish with you so please change your programming to buffalo local channels. (Gonna need a buffalo Roch address to give them or just say you're living in an RV in Buffalo) Then you can get buffalo locals no matter where you are and see all the games complete with 8 billion west Herr ads it'll make ya feel like you're at Teds eating a hot dog drinking a loganberry. -
PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
Da webster guy replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
The reality is the free market will decide what the PSL's are worth. Not Terry. -
I think if Ty Johnson was drafted high like Cook he would be the starter. Has better vision and finishes runs harder. Ray was a surprise pick to me but you need three solid RB's and now we do. Also outweighing Cook by 30lbs helps in blitz pickups. Ray seems to have a good feel for that already.

Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy
Da webster guy replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
He sees the same thing as the other 28 guys that passed on Xavier Worthy because gadget track guys are out of the league in four years. -
I hope we stay put and draft an edge rusher. If you can’t pressure Mahomes with four guys you lose the game every time. We lost our best pass rusher Floyd, Von is declining and proven unreliable. Epenesa isn’t magically going to get better just because we paid him. The DE/edge rusher scouts need a home run in this draft.
-
No GM is perfect. We’re winning a lot more than we were before he got here. Beane doesn’t get a pass but he does get respect for building a perennial playoff team, going for our 5th straight division win next year. On the flip side, Von was a crazy flyer but I see why he did it. Elam was picking for need which Beaner always said was a bad idea, and last year he and his scouts wanted a WR in the 5th and they chose Shorter over Nacua who is a top 5 elite WR that would have put us over the top. Scratchin my head over that one.

At the end of the Falcons superbowl loss to NE Shanahan gave the game away by some of the worst, most shortsighted play calling I've ever seen. 4th quarter, maybe 6 minutes left and Freeman had just ripped off a really long run to around the NE 30yd line, the Patriots were on their heels. Falcons could go up two scores with a FG. Instead of sticking with the run and pounding the ball, killing clock and most importantly AVOIDING the holding penalty and/or sack, dopey Shanahan pulls a Pete Carrol and decides to drop back and throw. Twice. Once there was a holding call and another there was a sack (Chris Long I think). Falcons are now effectively out of range, have to punt to Brady, end up losing the game. A classic example of sacrificing game awareness and being too geeked about the next play. I felt so bad for Arthur Blank the nicest owner in pro sports, standing on the sidelines with his team about to win a ring and his OC gives the trophy away. McD and Joe Brady did the same thing to Josh on the KC final drive. So worried about just scoring they forgot about clock management and keeping Mahomes on the bench, just moving the chains is a far better option. If Josh hits Shakir we still lose that game because we weren't stopping Mahomes. Easy in hindsight, but eventually coaches come to realize this is how you beat HOF quarterbacks, you keep them on the bench, you don't score and say "hey OK defense go out there and stop that guy who just won his 3rd superbowl MVP in 5 years."

jones is unbelievable he won them the Bills game and the superbowl.
