TBD's fave Wyatt Teller in the news
Da webster guy replied to dorquemada's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teller is payback for us Fleecing Indy all those years ago in the Kelvin Sheppard Jerry Hughes deal. We burn a low pick on the guy who would still be under his rookie deal and happens to be grading out as an elite guard. -
His pocket presence and body adjustments are unteachable and he seemed to get better each year. Thats what stands out to me on the rewatch, you can see him frustrating the crap out of the pass rushers. Some qb's like Mayfield have basically the same move every time, drop back check your first read, if it's not there roll out to your right and buy time for your targets to free up. Throw on the run near the sideline. Repeat. Josh is flat out unpredictable, he goes anywhere the pressure dictates and has an insane ability to sense pressure. If he had a mediocre arm he'd still be a good qb simply based on that ability alone.

What happened to McKenzie in the playoffs?
Da webster guy replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Coaches out-thinking themselves is the most frustrating thing in sports. I felt bad for our offensive linemen vs KC, getting asked to pass block for an entire game. The offense is supposed to make it difficult to disguise run or pass whenever possible. McKenzie was a huge asset in that regard. He DID score a much needed TD in the 4th quarter there, but it was too little, too late. Coach Daboll is an excellent OC, I'd love to hear his take on why McKenzie only touched the ball three times all game. -
Free Agents We Should Be Looking At
Da webster guy replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. Bring back Jauron, Donahoe and Peterman. Agree. Dude is great. Would fit in nicely here, much more productive than Watt anyway. Word is Bengals are gonna tag him tho..... -
Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?
Da webster guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This may not be true but one thing that is true with Watt, the cameras follow him everywhere, he's a media hog whether he likes it or not. Remember the Houston playoff game, the network made the entire game about JJ as if the guy was still an elite player. It was kind of nauseating, my only strike against Romo as an announcer, he and Nance were droning on and on nonstop about the guy. Personally, I can't stand that kind of hype for any player, making them seem bigger than the team, or the game. If its a slow regular season game OK I guess, but that was an exciting overtime playoff game with a lot on the line for both teams and all we got to see and hear was JJ on the sidelines, JJ's reaction to every play, JJ's limited snaps blah blah. Ask any Browns fan about OBJ, they can't stand it either. I was hoping we were going to land him but dreading reading about him and his injuries every day for the next two years. Would rather have Bud Dupree or Von who can still dominate a game. -
He was better than TJ Watt in the games I saw him. Reminded me of the good version of Clowney, pretty much unblockable. Knock on him was consistency but he was a huge reason Pitt went 11 straight and then tanked when he and Bush were out. We have a 2 year window before Josh money kicks in, lets make a hard run now, if we are willing to pay old slow oft injured TJ Watt big money lets offer Dupree at least the same.

Gunner's 2021 FINAL Mock Draft on PAGE 21
Da webster guy replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice info GB. Hard to say what positions are prioritized until free agency moves are completed, but I get the sense that Milano may be a goner in which case we are one Tremaine Edmunds injury away from officially sucking on defense, regardless of what happens with the Dline. Beaner is famous for saying drafting for need will set you back, but he's not picking a LT, QB, WR, RB or safety in the early rounds. We have a 2 year window until Josh hits our cap for $35+ million per year which is going to drastically reduce our ability to sign top free agents or retain our key guys, we need rooks that can come in and contribute right away so they need to be smart AND instinctive players. -
Knox is the GM's nightmare because you traded UP to get him, he's a great guy and hard worker, but the ONE thing he has never shown is consistent hands and that might cost you a championship someday. Such a great athlete, has made some amazing grabs, but for us to sit here and say "Oh he just needs to keep practicing catching the football" is naive. The dude owns a jugs machine and has caught 10,000 passes in practice. Gotta consider his hand eye genetics might not be adequate for a reliable NFL pass catcher.

I'm starting to wonder about the rotational approach McD seems to love. I'd rather have 4 studs that play most of the time than 8 average guys. Its hard to blame Beaner for the Dline he put together considering Jefferson, Butler and Addison all had stretches where they were playing very well. If I had to keep one of the three I'd take Jefferson simply because my foggy memory seems to recall him balling out more than the others. I like the OP's general idea, maybe not as extreme like cutting Jerry who is starting to become like the Tom Brady of edge guys, but the concept of cutting Murphy, Butler and Addison to add one monster like KC did with Clark is appealing. Also we need some leaps from Eppy and Big Ed next year, these dudes were our first picks the past two years come on boys you have the talent lets keep getting better we need ya ! KC has one more year until Mahomes 50M blows their team up. We have two more before Josh's cap hit will take a toll, lets go Bills!

Priority #1: Large, angry men for the OL and DL
Da webster guy replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude almost won the MVP. They should have voted he and Devin as Co/MVP's for wrecking that game. Score 10 points at home, beat KC and win the Lombardi, boy that was tough order for Brady. The nice thing is we have a very good GM or I could see another 1st round RB pick happening. -
Shaq Barrett should have won MVP not Brady
Da webster guy replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow I had no idea he was undrafted. Dude is a beast. Bengals must be kicking themselves. -

If only we drafted Wyatt Teller, a top NFL guard now, when he was sitting there in the 5th round.... Oh wait....We did. Highest-Graded Players of 2020: 1. Aaron Rodgers - 94.9 2. Wyatt Teller - 93.8 3. Patrick Mahomes - 93.0 3. Travis Kelce - 93.0 Hey whatever, maybe he was hurt too much and didn't have his technique down. Either way we let an elite player go for almost nothing, that sucks. Indy still saying that about Jerry Hughes 10 years later. The one thing Beane has shown us is that he will make aggressive trades and personnel moves, and that the roster has improved each year. No need to doubt the guy now. Beane: “This is not going to be a a free agency where we can be as aggressive. We’ve been aggressive with that because we built up the resources,” he said. “I would not anticipate any blockbuster moves of the Stef Diggs type or some of the moves we made the year before in free agency. It’s really gonna be plugging some holes depending on who we lose. And then the onus is on us to have a strong draft.” Also remember we don't have a 4th round pick this year because of Diggs trade, so hopefully we draft well and retain the guys we like. Another massive advantage we have to look forward to is the return of our head coach, OC and DC AGAIN next year. Josh still cap friendly for the next two seasons even if he signs this offseason. -
Get pressure with FOUR, win a Lombardi. Bucs just shut down Rogers and Mahomes back to back, both have great skill position players around them, but it doesn't matter if you can't pocket pass. We have the franchise QB, and a two year window before Josh kills our cap space. Sell out now for a nasty front four, get er done Beane Machine!

How Allen will Work to become a better QB
Da webster guy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Josh just does a few minor tweaks and our Oline play gets more consistent then we will once again be a top scoring team and roll our division like we did this year. I am mostly concerned with the trenches on both sides, we need to get better there and we will be nasty. -
Gee this board was pretty harsh on ya bro. Yikes. Betting the under total points in any game is kinda stressful because you're almost always nervous until the end of the game, unlike the over total points which you can hit earlier in some cases, and it's more fun because you just root for scoring etc instead of rooting for teams to punt. So avoid the under bet. As a rule, it's usually a bad idea to bet against Tom Brady in anything, trust me on that one. With that in mind, the last time he was in a superbowl he sucked in the first 3/4ths of the game, and KC isn't known for being a fast start club either, they do most of their best work in the 2nd half and frequently come from behind. Both defenses are better than I thought they were before watching them last weekend. Here's what I would do with $200 $50 on under 27.5 in the FIRST HALF (risk 50 to win 45 there) $50 to win $187 on first scoring play Bucs field goal $100 teaser Chiefs GET 3 pts and game must go over 50 (Risk $100 to win 83) That way you have an early bet (1st score), halftime bet (under 27.5) and full game teaser sayin KC keeps it within 3 and it goes over 50. Also keep in mind I lost all SIX bets last weekend in perhaps the worst showing of all time.

I think he's too low key for some GM's to see as their head coach. At least in pressers he seems like more of an analytical guy than a motivating leader. The NFL has seen hundreds of good coordinators take a swing at the head coach job and find themselves back at coordinator where they belong. Daboll might be one of those guys. Also he didnt seem very inventive in the playoffs, hope he improves there next year.

Thats kind of what I'm thinking. Find a team in rebuilding mode that wants young players. A 1st round pick means you can lock for 5 years, like Minny got with Jefferson. Last two years our first pick was Ed and then Epenesa last year in the 2nd round. It may be too early to judge them but watching guys like Bud Dupree and Clark for KC run around changing games and elevating their defenses its hard to not consider just getting a few proven players while we still have 2 seasons before Josh's new contract will start hurting us. Don't care about runners or receivers, or really anyone but the trench guys on either side of the ball. Get the proven dudes and lets get cracking. My only exception would be LB, there are few college dudes that might be worth grabbing in 2nd or 3rd rd.

Positions to look at/improve in the offseason
Da webster guy replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. We lost on the road to a team who won the bowl last year and almost had a perfect season this year. -
That was my frustration too, zero hot route outlets. It was like we had no plan for their blitz. How is that possible? In an NFL blitz scenario, the qb AND receivers need to react immediately and the ball needs to come out at the 2 second mark. We looked like we had never practiced beating a blitz package. Ugly.

Gabe not practicing today...
Da webster guy replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gabe is playing. Played the rest of the game after his ankle tweak, then rested up and got treatment sun-thrs and practiced yesterday. He's not a big plant and cut speed guy anyway, he's a zone buster with a big catch radius. Dont worry Mafia, our 4th round-shlda-been-early2nd round draft pick will be out there lookin to go to 8TD's on the year. -
Signature Win is such a lame overused term can everyone just never say that again. Ugh. Keyshawn goes on and on about signature wins all the time its so stupid. But to the OP's point, this sure would be a great game to peak for the offense because 24 points just aint gonna win this game and I think they know it. We have all the pieces in place to run the table this year. Even our head coach has improved quite a bit from his 1st year.

Justin Zimmer...unsung defensive hero?
Da webster guy replied to umangatan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Game winning punchout vs NE is not a jag play thats Kyle Williams level. Everyone expects interior linemen to standout even if their job is largely unsung. How many times did you hear 6'8 all pro Calais Campbells number get called last week? Zimmer needs more playing time to refine his game and so does Ed, but they have learned a lot this year.
