Live 2024 NFL Draft thread - Round 1 (Do NOT tip the Bills pick)
Rocbillsfan1 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
It doesn’t seem like teams ahead of us need a wr but what about Detroit or KC jumping up? Still think they just need to wait and pick at 28. -

They don’t have to trade him. -

Why? They still have Higgins, what’s the rush? -

So are we worried about Jax or Steelers picking Brian Thomas Jr? -
Pegulas selling 25% of the Bills, per Tim Graham

Wait until this ***** is on the blockchain. Get your Bills tokens. -
And he did that without Josh Allen as his QB.

How would you construct the 2024 Bills WR Room?
Rocbillsfan1 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
To all of the we gotta draft 2 WRs while trading up for 1 and signing another vet wr you do realize the bills don’t need 5 starting WRs while most likely only 2 or 3 are going to see significant snaps right? Our wr 5 and 6 are mostly special teams guys that can also play if needed like shorter who I see being active this year. Shakir is a diamond in the rough and deserve snaps and Samuels is a solid vet. That leaves maybe room for one more significant role like a high draft pick and a backup that maybe is filled by a vet on a smaller contract or another mid round pick. So something like legette. Legette shakir Shakir samuels. Samuels malik Washington Boyd hollins. Hollins shorter. Shorter -
Case in point, you have legette as your #17 and I’ve heard people saying now he could be gone by #28. Also you have Coleman at 5 and others saying he’s more like 12. Can’t separate and is just a jump ball guy. Has there even been such a big discrepancy in rankings that anyone remembers?
-
Now that I’m paying attention more that diggs is gone it is wild to see the discrepancy between wr rankings out there. After the top 3 it’s like a total toss up when ranking 4 through 15. I know it’s a deep and solid class but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. For example that guy Brett Whitefield has Roman Wilson and Ricky Pearsall going in the first round and Thomas jr going in the second. He’s really low on the Texas receivers too but is also high on Burton. Crazy how people can have 3-4 round grades on some of these guys while others have 1-2 round grades and vice versa. This draft class is giving me a headache.
-
That guy on Joe Marinos show convinced me, take Legette.

This is such a great move. Get rid of this cancer. Grab a wr round 1 and we are already in a better place than last year at the start of the season. lol at all the people thinking the Bills are taking a step back or window closed type of talk. Diggs was a diva and should have been a team player and taken a pay cut like miller but he was too busy posting on twitter on how great he use to be.
-
He was also hurt towards the end of the season. I know I know everyone is dealing with something argument.

After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?
Rocbillsfan1 replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thomas or Worthy. PFF has the Bills taking a tackle in round 1 and Miami taking Franklin at pick 21. I think who is running their mock draft may be ######ed. -
To all the people talking about the third possession, while it is an advantage that is such a slim advantage. The obvious big advantage is getting the ball second and knowing what you have to do every step of the way. In a game of inches where scoring is at a premium this is a huge advantage to have so you know how to call 3rd and 4th down plays. It’s borderline criminal to take the ball first. You never give the GOAT the psychological and competitive advantage of getting the ball 2nd and knowing what you have to do. I don’t think it’s been talked about enough but you are putting immense pressure on your offense by taking the ball first and even if you score the TD you still give the other team 4 downs with their attempt. So dumb.

McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
Rocbillsfan1 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would say odds are lower with McDermott but it could happen. -
There better be 2 WRs picked in the first 4 rounds with 1 hopefully in the first.
-
Seriously, if the other team is giving you the TD there you take it. There’s no guarantee you score a TD eventually by throwing underneath. Also didn’t want to have to rely on Bass anyways. The defense had done pretty well with not giving up TDs so I make Mahomes go all the way down and score a TD there.
-
I wanted McDermott gone after the bengals playoff loss but after their turn around this year he’s earned another year. There’s 0 point in arguing against this.

I told all my friends before the game it felt like the Bills were playing with house money. After going 6-6 I thought they were done and they fought back hard but had way too many key injuries to overcome and they were still a dion Dawkins better block from allowing Josh Allen to throw a dart to go up 4 late. Previous years it seemed like coaching was much more of a problem and they were seriously underperforming. This year it seemed like they overachieved and just missed some opportunities that were there. Tough but I expect good things for next year.

lol sounds like the Pittsburgh fan reporting on the weather from downtown Buffalo.

I normally park in someone’s yard on Big Tree. With the storm I imagine almost all of the parking around the stadium will be closed. Are the Bills going to have their entire parking lot plowed enough to fit all of the cars?

Go for it

Jesus every target to Davis is an INT. You’d think the Bills and Allen would know better by now.
