  1. I think the Chiefs are doing just fine. Patrick Mahomes worst season was 12 wins and losing the AFCCG in OT. Tom Brady really hurt his career by doing commercials. 7 SB rings is cool and all, but he could've had double digits if he wasn't distracted by commercials! A A Ron and the Packers suck this year. He did win back to back MVPs the last 2 years while starring in commercials, so I don't think that's the reason for the sudden decline. It might have more to do with Adams leaving and not drafting any quality WR.
  2. Do you know what quarter or drive this happened in?
  3. The hold was fine. Bass had a ridiculously low kick that was almost guaranteed to be tipped/blocked
  4. I thought simultaneous catch was a judgement call and therefore not reviewable. I'm not entirely sure if that was the ruling on the field or not
  5. Bass is 12 / 15 for the year on FGs with misses of 38 (Dolphins), 49 (Steelers), and 55 (Jets). It's not a stretch to say that Bass cost us both the Dolphins and the Jets games. Although it's probably not fair to blame him when the misses happened early in the games and so many other players made costly mistakes. The kick offs out of bounds are a concern as well, but I blame that on coaching. Can we please stop ***** around with these high, short kicks and just have Bass boot it for a touchback? I don't think we're at the point where we need to consider dropping Bass this season, but I do think Beane will have some pondering to do this offseason.
  6. Nice analysis! I didn't consider that Jaquan should've been blitzing.
  7. That's why I'm asking. It looked like Johnson peeled off with their TE and Von Miller was covering the QB option. I don't know the X's and O's, but Edmunds looked like he was in no-mans land accomplishing nothing.
  8. What was Edmunds doing on the Jets first TD ? Besides jogging halfheartedly towards the RB after he scored....
  9. Some pretty concerning trends the last 2 games. 1.5 games of JA looking wildly inaccurate. He's missed more throws in the last 6 quarters than the rest of the season combined. Run defense was shredded in both games. Injuries
  10. I wouldn't say we have a definitive "window" but we definitely have an advantage this year while Josh is still only at a 16mm cap hit. Going forward will depend on how Josh ages and how Beane drafts/builds the team. Josh won't be able to sustain this playstyle long term. I do think he'll be able to adapt and be a top 3 QB using just his arm, but it would be an adjustment to not use his legs as much. Beane has proven to be a very capable GM so i'm not worried on that aspect.
  11. Allen was an exceptionally polarizing prospect. Some had him rated as the #1 overall best prospect. Others didn't rate him as even a 1st rounder. I don't think it's a surprise to see the Broncos pass on him to take a "sure-fire" defensive guy (who I'll note has been a very good player in the NFL). My comparison would be the 2017 Bills passing on Mahomes and Watson. The Bills hit on Allen the next year and the rest, as they say, is history. The Broncos haven't hit on the QB position since then, but if Wilson wasn't such a shocking failure I think this would be a very different conversation.
  12. He's technically suspended indefinitely. He's allowed to request re-instatement after this season is over. If I were to bet on it (hahaha) he'd be ready to go week 1 next season.
  13. That play and the one where he had the RB wrapped up for minimal gain only to get dragged 5+ yards downfield really stood out to me.
  14. They tried passing on the early 4th down. Our run defense had 1 good play (the late 4th down stop)
  15. I know statistics prove out that drug abuse is consistent across economic classes (although the type of drugs being abused vary). Don't know if alcohol would be any different. I think it's funny that people think bad behavior will get priced out of Bills games. On the secondary market ticket prices didn't drop below $200 for the Packers game. You could get a ticket for $20 during the drought years and see behavior that wasn't as bad as last night
  16. Our run DEF was getting chewed up the entire game, it's not like the Packers went from ineffective running while the game was close to racking up yards in garbage time. Yea, ultimately the defense only allowed 17 points, but if those GB 4th and shorts had gone differently I think we'd be having a very different conversation. Jordan Phillips tackling technique was so fricking weird. He had multiple plays where he didn't try to tackle the ball carrier with his arms- he just threw his shoulder and body weight into the guy. I can't imagine a coach would ever teach that technique.... was he trying to injure the GB runners? Was Phillips other shoulder injured in some way ? I noticed he had one of his shoulders taped up
  17. I did notice Davis on a bad drop and an exceptionally stupid penalty that cost us points.. Diggs had a solid game - although my guy really has to start actually using his mouth guard LOL
  18. That's a good catch! I thought he was a generic nurse/doctor, but Turk makes a lot of sense. Gabe Davis (if that's him) in the ski mask could be a gimp. Maybe even the gimp from Pulp Fiction? Quessenberry in the khakis/wig could be Steve Irwin (combo costume with the alligator?)
  19. I don't think it was dirty/intentional. It looks like Mac's heel gets stuck in the turf as he's sliding and then his leg kicks up. Of course, it's tough to give him the benefit of the doubt when he's had other dirty plays. Reminds me of this: If it was someone other than Suh you could believe it was an accident.
  20. Dawson Knox is Jackie Moon - Will Ferrell's character in "Semi-Pro" The guy in the middle back row (who is that?) might be the Big Lebowski.
  21. I had to dig deep for it, but this was part of the show (emphasis added) “This was my highest graded game by [quarterback coach Tom Clements], which people may be surprised to hear,” Rodgers said. "We obviously didn't execute, a couple drops, a couple missed throws. But we're behind the sticks ... Way too many penalties, way too many drops, not enough rushing attempts because we were behind the sticks the whole time." It would be on thing if a rookie QB was saying this, but A A Ron is a 38 year old 4xMVP and 1x SB winner. The guy has been one of the very best QBs over the last 15 years. I think it's fair to say the guy knows what he's talking about and has earned the right to criticize teammates.
  22. Is it really finger pointing when you don't name a position group, let alone an individual player? Every part of his statement is about "we". Not "they" and not any individuals. Maybe he should've said something about "and it starts with *me*" or "*I* need to play better". Personally I find those empty platitudes to be boring and cliche. "We had so many mental errors and mistakes," Rodgers said Tuesday. "It's not the kind of football we're used to playing over the years. There have definitely been seasons where we average four or five, six, maybe seven at the most, kind of mental errors or missed assignments per week. Some weeks you have like four, two sometimes. This season there's a lot more of that every single week. It's double digits every single week. Even on the game, we had like 50 plays or something -- there wasn't a ton of plays, they had 37 minutes time of possession -- a lot of mistakes." Rodgers said on Tuesday it's on the players, not coaches, to take ownership of the team's struggles. "I think when the players really take over, then you're going to see the possibility of us making a run," he said. "I'm not talking about the players usurping power from coaches. I'm talking about we take over. We take ownership of what we're putting on the field. Now, some of that might be in the plan. Some of that might be, hey, 'I really want to do this,' offense, defense, (special) teams, whatever it might be. But the other part is taking ownership of your daily habits and your routines. Just cause we're a young team, we just can't write that off as, 'Oh, we're figuring it out. The rookies are figuring this thing out. Are they gonna go through that rookie wall?' And blah, blah, blah. ... "We need everybody on the same page to make the plays that are possible. We need them Monday to Saturday to put in the time to be ready to play Sunday. Because there's too many times in the game where there's simple, simple things just are not being accomplished." "Guys who are making too many mistakes shouldn't be playing, you know. Gotta start cutting some reps, and maybe guys who aren't playing, give them a chance," he said.
  23. I know it's in vogue to criticize A A Ron, but I think what he said here is fine. Constructive criticism can be a good thing. Do you want all your leaders to blow smoke up your ass and tell you that you're doing a great job when you're clearly not?
  24. Counterpoint: Brian Daboll He had a long history of being a bad OC until Allen started playing at an MVP level. Now he's doing well as Giants HC (although I'm a bit skeptical of their 6-1 record).
