  1. I'm not an X's and O's guy - the only obvious bust I saw was on the opening Chase TD. What else did the safeties mess up that game ?
  2. Seems like an odd choice. Given the injuries at the position I thought safeties were one of the few positional groups that didn't let us down over the course of the season or in the Bengals game.
  3. 9) Dorsey should improve as OC with a year of playcalling experience under his belt
  4. Hate the Spencer Brown excuses. If the guy was so effected by his lack of offseason reps and back injuries it's still Beane's job as GM to address that and bring somebody else in to play that position. Brown was a disaster on the field. The Bengals talk is ironic. Beane you are aware that you had a top 10 pick the year after you drafted a QB right? And that you've had the same advantage of a top 3 QB on a rookie contract? A lot of the other stuff is just whatever. If we're firing coaches or making big roster changes I don't expect him to be blabbing about it at this presser.
  5. Reports are a mid 1st++ so that's an absolute no-go for me. I think Payton is grossly overrated anyway. The Saints underperformed given their talent level while he was HC
  6. So we're taking a 1 game sample size and applying it to the past 5 years? Our run game sucked ass on Sunday, but in general, it's more than strong enough to win a SB. You do not need a great running game to make/win the SB.
  7. Our run game was fine. We had the 7th most rushing yards per game in the regular season. Bengals were 29th. Chiefs have never had a great rushing attack with Mahomes and they've been to 5 straight AFCCG
  8. Lombardi has higher odds than a cup, and it's not close. Sabres are a bubble playoff team atm. Pretty far from being a contender. All the young talent is fun to watch, but they are going to need some big contracts soon. Doesn't help that this is a cap floor team (while trading for players on LTIR to even make the floor). Don't see them going anywhere without utilizing more cap space
  9. The Bengals channeled an imaginary slight about AFCCG tickets being sold to a neutral game at Atlanta into their best performance of the season. The Bills channeled Damar Hamlin being back in the building into their worst performance of the season. Don't know if the players or coaches deserve more blame, but it's inexcusable either way.
  10. It seems like Diggs/Allen were off from the very beginning of the game. The 3rd down play where Allen (under pressure) just misses Diggs on a deep throw, Diggs shakes his head "no" a few times and then waves his hand in front of his face. He might've been gesturing for Josh to put more arc on the throw so he could run under it? Might've been saying he lost track of the ball in the snow? The 2nd option seems unlikely to me as Diggs made a good reach towards the ball. Then in the 3rd quarter on this play: 1st & 10 at BUF 12 (1:11 - 3rd) (Shotgun) J.Allen pass incomplete deep right to S.Diggs. Diggs ended his route by cutting to the sideline, but Allen threw it like Diggs was going to cut up the field. After the incompletion Josh chops his arm down in an angular motion a number of times. I'm guessing Diggs ran the wrong route there and that Allen was peeved at him. Then of course Diggs yells at Allen on the sidelines which Allen completely ignores. These 2 guys have had such great chemistry the last 3 years that I'd be pretty surprised if this game damages that, but it is a possibility.
  11. JW: "See, I was right this team is dysfunctional! They never should've re-signed Beasley his vaccination antics really killed team comradery!"
  12. McDermott can't scapegoat the ST coach again, so I'm thinking it'll be Kromer. O-line was bad all year and an absolute train wreck today. Kromer would be a scapegoat that actually deserves to be fired Frazier should've been fired last year, but if he survived 13 seconds I think he survives this. The cynic in me wonders if the Bills are hoping for him to be hired as a HC somewhere else as we would get comp picks.
  13. I could be reading spotrac incorrectly, but it looks like we would trigger 45mm in dead cap by trading Diggs. He is 100% untradeable for that reason alone. Diggs is the same diva he's been all 8 years in the league. We just have to deal with it PS - he's worth the headache
  14. Far and away the best run-game coordinator out there. Only 1 season outside of the top 5 in rushing yards (his first season where SF finished 8th). God awful in the passing game though. Would be interesting to see what he could do with a throwing QB. If Dorsey gets a HC offer I would consider taking a look at Roman.
  15. No, Josh didn't lead the league in INTs. Dak had 15 INT in 12 games. Mills had 15 INT in 15 games. I'm including games played to illustrate that the 2 QBs with more INTs did so in fewer games. For OP: do you have how many of the aborted snaps happened with Morse at C as opposed to a backup ? I remember at least a few of these that did have Morse
  16. I think it was a combination of many factors 1) Lots of incompletions 2) Not many running plays 3) Lots of official reviews 4) Injuries 5) Not many sustained drives 6) Dolphins routinely using every second (and then some) of the playclock. The game was taking so long that CBS even started skipping some TV timeouts!
  17. I'm somewhere between Daboll and Shanahan. The G-men have been a joke of a franchise in recent years and pre-season expectation was probably ~5 wins. Daboll turned them into a legit playoff contender and resurrected Daniel Jones career. Shanahan came in with high pre-season expectations, but then had his #1 AND #2 QB get injured. He now has the team setup as legit superbowl contenders with a rookie 7th rd draft pick starting for half the season.
  18. After watching the Bills/Dolphins game 40% After watching Ravens/Bengals game 60%
  19. I've had a lot of negative reactions to my rankings, but have yet to see anyone give a reason why that's wrong. Maybe I should've swapped the 49ers and Cowboys. 1) Cowboys: A 10 possessions: 5 TD, 4 punts, and end of game 2) 49ers: A 10 possession: 4 TD, 4FG , 1 punt, and end of game 3) Giants: A 9 possessions: 4 TD, 1 FG, 2 punts, end of half and end of game 4) Vikings: A- 8 possessions: 3 TD, 1 FG, 3 punts, turnover on downs 5) Bills: B 16 possessions: 4 TD, 2 FG, 3 turnovers, 5 punts, turnover on downs, and end of game Are we curving these grades based on quality of the defense we're playing against? That's the only consideration I could see for MAYBE moving the Bills up this list. It's not like Miami has a good defense.
  20. I was getting flashbacks to Jarvis Landry on Aaron Williams.
  21. How could it not be the most viewed when the game was 4 hours long? In all seriousness it's how exciting JA is to watch (the good and the bad) in combination with the Damar incident.
  22. The Vikings only had 8 possessions and had 3 TD, 1 FG, 3 punts, and a turnover on downs. The Bills had 16 possessions and had 4 TD, 2 FG, 3 turnovers, 5 punts, a turnover on downs, and a clock killing drive. Vikings offensive performance was better than the Bills, and I don't think it's all that close. Kirk throwing it short of the sticks on 4th down to end the game was hilariously bad, but I'm trying to rate their game as a whole, not just 1 play.
  23. Not sure why we're excluding the Cowboys/Bucs game I'd rate the offensive performances as: 1) Cowboys 2) 49ers 3) Giants 4) Vikings 5) Bills Those other teams might not have had the explosive plays that we did, but they moved the ball more efficiently and didn't commit turnovers.
  24. I stand corrected, but it's a mistake either way
  25. Are we talking about the Saints game that they rushed the ball 48 times for 298 yards and 6 TDs? Tyrod had a crap game but the DEF was soooooo much worse. The Bills were 5-4 after that game and in the thick of the playoff hunt. Benching Tyrod for a rookie 5th round pick Peterman was one of the worst sit/start decisions made in Bills franchise history (with the benefit of hindsight it might be THE worst). To get back on topic.... Letting Hodgins get sniped from our PS and replacing him with Beasley/Brown was a major mistake. Beasley/Brown almost cost us this game. In the first half on a combined 4 targets they had 0 receptions for 2 INTs and a failed 4th down conversion. THREE turnovers on FOUR targets. That's difficult to comprehend. Beasley somewhat redeemed himself in the 2nd half, but that was not nearly enough to make up for the catastrophic 1st half.
