  1. Did Von Miller play? The only time I noticed him was that commercial with Diggs
  2. Or an example from a Bills game https://x.com/BradleyGelber/status/1333128939049512968?s=20 Still think it's incredible that Josh wasn't injured on that play
  3. Do people understand what a hip drop tackle is? There's plenty of ways to tackle a guy from behind without doing this
  4. This question is too black or white, so I went with No. If we make the divisional round and lose a well played/coached game to the Chiefs there's no way I'd want McD fired. I think there's 3 basic scenarios I'd want to see McD fired, and all of these are only if Josh is healthy. 1) We miss the playoffs entirely 2) Lose in the 1st round to a bad team 3) Coaching flop ala 13 seconds So in short, it doesn't matter which round we make it to. It matters how the team looks.
  5. I thought we'd win the superbowl coming into the season and my outlook hasn't changed. Our preseason odds to win the SB were +900. Same as they are today
  6. Josh really doesn't seem like the type of guy to try and force his way out. If the Bills crash and burn and miss the playoffs, or if there's a repeat of 13 seconds, I think Pegula would fire McBeane well before Josh would consider forcing a trade.
  7. Wasn't there a report that he "stole" $20 from a cop's wife at an Applebee's ? Would not surprise me at all if they targeted him after that
  8. I know the 3 quarters shutout thing is technically true, but we scored a TD on our first possession of the 2nd half. It just happened to come on the 1st play of the 4th Q because we put together such a massively long drive.
  9. 4 seems unbelievably low, where is that number from ? https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-wr.php Looking up individual players Knox: 4 (yikes) Diggs: 2 Davis: 2 Harty: 1 Doesn't look like they track RBs but Cook has at least 1 drop this season. That would put us at 10 for the year, which passes the eye test for me. No idea how it compares league wide. For Josh running the ball: I'd love to see more scrambles and bring the designed runs back. Josh has that 6th sense where he avoids big hits while running the ball. With a few exceptions he's the one delivering the energy of the hit not absorbing the energy from the defender.
  10. That's my point though. We're not good at running the ball, and particularly not good at running the ball with RBs early in the game. We keep wasting early plays on non creative James Cook runs up the middle for 2 yards (at best).
  11. I think our problem is trying too hard to establish the run on our first possession (although the Giants game does counter that trend). We have 2 first downs on opening drives this season on rushes, and 1 of those was a Josh scramble. I wonder how much of it is McDermott vs Dorsey. It seemed like there was friction between McD and Daboll when he was here in regards to running the ball. McD is old school and wants to establish the run - but not via designed QB runs. Daboll was ok with calling 20 pass plays in a row. Opening drives this season by play Jets pass pass run run pass punt Raiders run run pass punt Commanders pass run scramble run pass pass pass pass run pass FG Dolphins run pass run pass run run pass pass- TD Jaguars run pass pass punt Giants pass pass pass punt
  12. What's that based on? Our DEF was giving up chunks of yards the entire 2nd half.
  13. I thought the call on Bernard was pretty marginal. Waller felt a little bit of contact and then sold it to try and draw a flag (obviously it worked). Johnson was also marginal, but leaning more towards actually a penalty. If I was a Giants fan I'd be mad it wasn't called
  14. To take this thread on a tangent. What happened on the scrum following opening kickoff ? I didn't see anything done by the Bills that even resembled a penalty. I saw #47 on the Giants with what looked like a punch to Brown's facemask, and then hold the facemask for a good 5 seconds. A ref also comes over to yell at Spencer Brown before the calls were announced.
  15. Clay was a Doug Whaley contract! I had forgotten how bad he was towards the end of it during the McBeane tenure
  16. Personally I would've ejected Williams. That was a pretty energetic hit a solid 30 seconds after the whistle and semi-injured Brown (who hadn't really done anything during the play/scrum). Frustrating to see 4 personal fouls called with 3 on the Giants and 1 on the Bills only to all offset. And the call on the Bills was the weakest one of the bunch.
  17. How many teams have won a SB after firing an OC mid-season ?
  18. Quinton Spain, Daryl Williams Knox is definitely up there Unforgivable to drop that game winning catch. I don't care if the throw was low if you get 2 hands on it like that it need to be a catch.
  19. I wonder if T Bass lost confidence and got inside his own head after McD decided to punt rather than go for the 55 yard FG in the 1st half.
  20. Gotta disagree with this. The Giants longest drive happened directly after our offense's 17 play 10 minute drive. Was the defense gassed from sitting on the bench for too long ? This isn't the draught era Bills where the Offense played like garbage for the entire game and the defense puts together 3 strong quarters to keep it close for most of the game only to get blown out in the 4th.
  21. Honestly I don't think we abandoned the run quickly enough in London. I'd rather see 20 pass plays in a row then 1 more Cook run out of shotgun for 2 to -6 yards. This offense's strength is the passing game. We've won so many more games since 2020 because of our passing game than the running game. Including games with no rush attack at all. Makes me wonder how much time we waste trying to establish the run when it's clearly not working is McD's influence.
  22. Is that the unknown Hasselbeck brother that went into finance instead of playing QB ?
  23. Robert Woods and Stephon Gilmore both walked the same offseason we brought McD in. Both guys were good in Buffalo and even better after they left. Maybe Woods was going to walk regardless, but we could've franchise tagged Gilmore. We also butchered the comp pick formula so we didnt even get 3rd rd comp picks out of them.
  24. I always thought Brady looked uncomfortable when he was pumping teammates up. Like he knew it was expected of him, but didn't really feel it. Also thought he always looked spoiled and petulant when losing on the sideline and arguing with coaches/teammates. Josh and all of his individual handshakes for everyone on the team and TD celebrations feels genuine to me. I'd rather see Josh sitting calmly on the bench like he was this Sunday than staring blankly ahead with a flushed face like the Jets game.
  25. I'm not expecting to be able to pick up a good corner at this point of the season. But there are 100% better options than 35 year old Josh Norman. He was a washed up has been 3 years ago. It's a disturbing fact that McBeane would rather bring in aging veterans that they are familiar with then try to find the best player available.
