What Would You Give Up for Aubrey?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you try to look up the actual stats or are you spouting off based on gut-feel? Outdoors splits on PAT this season Bass 28/32 Aubrey 10/10 -
What Would You Give Up for Aubrey?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
He doesn't have as many misses as Bass. Aubrey has 2 misses this year (and one block). 10 FGs made from 50+ yards Bass has 7 misses (3 FGs and 4 PAT). 2 FGs made from 50+ yards Not to mention Bass had one of the worst playoff meltdowns ever last season. I'd gladly give up a 4th for Aubrey, but doubt the Cowboys would take it. -
Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cooper is 800k cap hit for us, Hopkins is 4.4mm cap hit for Chiefs. We would've needed to free up a few million in cap space to fit Hopkins. Not ideal, but it wouldn't break the bank either. FWIW Cooper only missed 5 starts in the previous 9 seasons. I don't think the guy suddenly got lazy or unmotivated now that he's on a SB contender. -
I'm going to be honest I didn't realize Dalton was hurt on that play. It's not like he was slow in getting up. Feels disingenuous to me to blame that injury on the QB though. It was certainly a bad throw, but the injury is just bad luck. Dalton might fall to the ground like that 100 times and only get injured once.

James Cook gets the Angry Runs Scepter
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook has been much more physical since missing the Jets game. Worried about losing his job to Davis perhaps? -
Plays that I would've loved to see a replay but we never got one, in no particular order: Illegal contact on Douglas in the end zone that turned a 3rd down stop into an eventual TD Potential OPI by the Colts when they ran a pick play. Douglas was asking for a flag the whole time Colts 'catch' on the sideline where the WR toe-tapped, but our DB knocked the ball out as he was going out of bounds. WR gave the 'I don't think that was actually a catch let's hurry up and snap it' gesture. Colts quickly ran a play (that T Johnson almost intercepted) Holding call on Knox Couple of false starts that didn't have obvious pre-snap movement Illegal shift/offsetting DPI play Spencer Brown injury Dalton Kincaid injury We did get a replay of the first Colts TD, but it's hilarious that the broadcasters didn't mention the BLATANT hold on AJE https://imgur.com/a/RcGfWYz Might've been the worst broadcast I've ever seen with regards to replays. Not sure why a matchup between 7-2 Bills and 4-5 Colts gets the "F" team Could've used a few more replays of the ridiculous no-calls on the Allen slide and the defender throwing punches at Allen plays

Fine handed out for Rapp's penalty against Miami
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Smith wasn't penalized on that play. So of the 3 plays that the NFL deemed worth of fines, the Dolphins only had 1 penalty. Highly ironic that Rapp was penalized on a play that the league went back and fined the Dolphins player for. Rapp did get fined for taunting on a different play where he tackled Mostert (no penalties given). Could see him jawing after the play, but didn't make any gestures. Rapp wasn't penalized on the play. Not sure how talking some smack after a tackle is worth a fine, bit whatever -
I'm normally a fan of advanced stats, but this one doesn't really pass the eye test to me. With traditional stats this is how the Bills rush DEF ranks: 15th in rushing yards allowed per game 26th in rush yards allowed per carry T-25th in 20+ yard rushes allowed T-30th in 40+ yard rushes allowed T-6th in forced fumbles on rushing plays EPA has us as the 3rd best rush defense? At best we're somewhere around average (depending on how much weight you give to the forced fumbles). If we didn't have a handful of games where we jumped out to big leads and the opponent had to abandon the run I think the rushing stats would look even worse. I'm also not a fan of the philosophy to just let teams run on us. If there's a blue-print to beating elite QBs it's to have your own offense put together long clock killing drives to limit the elite QBs possessions. Why would we invite teams to do that to us?

Jordan Poyer needs to be suspended
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought his hit on Shakir was worth a penalty, but not a suspension. Poyer came in low and unfortunately Shakir was in a position where his head was also low, so it was helmet to helmet. The hit on Coleman though, yikes. Poyer is late and launches himself upwards to make helmet to helmet contact while completely ignoring the ball. Absolutely worth a suspension. The NFL is pretty stingy on suspensions and might view Poyer costing his team the game as enough of a punishment. -
Kansas City/Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I might've called that a hold, but facemask? Wow -
Dawkins holding - I'm guessing that the ref saw the defender go down to the ground and assumed that Dawkins had latched onto him and thrown him down, which would be an easy holding call. Obviously that's not what happened, but if the ref had a bad angle I could see how he makes that assumption. Torrence holding - I don't know what the ref thought he saw on this play, but I don't see anything that remotely resembles a hold. This exact block could happen 100 times in a game and this would be the only time it was flagged.
