I'd definitely look into Gabe Jackson. If healthy he's easily best G on the team. If Ford is moved he could battle Mongo for the other spot.

I like him a lot but the Bills will need to trade up into the top of the 2nd round to have a shot imo. He may even go late 1st.

We'd be paying Reader and Star both for maybe one year. By this time next year the D line is gonna look very different. Might as well start planning for it now. We have Reader instead of J Phillips I almost guarantee we win that 2nd Patriots game where they ran all over us. Stew on that for a minute.

I think Harrison may end up a 3. He is a gap shooter and is built for quick leverage and not a the bull that holds off blocks. Personally I don’t think Harrison is ever going to start for this team.
I agree.

Why? He's a true NT, maybe a 0 -1 tech. Doesn't fill Jordan Phillips role.
Unless they expect to move Harrison Phillips to 3 tech? Would that work? Anyone?
I always thought Phillips was too small to play 0-1 tech full time. As for 3 tech, I think he would be good enough to spell Oliver there. I'm all for going after Reader.

If the Bills pay 11-13 Million for another DT Ill shave my head. This sounds like absolute non-sense
Not if they plan to move on from Star in the next year or so.

Star isn't great and they're out of his contract in a year and Phillips is off the injury, we could stand to be more stout up front. Derm and Beane talk a lot about owning the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
Reader would be a great signing. You make room for a guy like him. Phillips could play some backup 3 tech at times.

The Bills will trade up with Carolina using next year's 1st rounder and draft Ceedee Lamb. I believe Carolina is positioning themselves to draft Trevor Lawrence next year and that the Bills are seriously trying to make a championship run this year. So it's a perfect match.
Lamb or Juedy works for me in this scenario?

Maybe I'm dopey, but I was curious how you came to the conclusion that Risner, Taylor and Ramczyk played well out the gate compared to Ford. Again, did you watch them like I assume you watched Ford? I didn't catch your answer. Wasn't being a smart ass. Really curious. I doubt you watched them as much or with as critical of an eye to Ford to compare our pick to theirs.
Conflate?
Deflect?
Im not positive, but I believe Risner played G as a rookie.

We'll see competition for 2 or 3 OL spots. LG, RG, and RT. They'll need to add a couple players to compete. I think our big free agency splash will be OL and DL.
Thats what Im hoping personally?

If the 1st round pick is not WR, then I think a move into say, the top 40 becomes a strong option for the right reciever....use one or a couple of those extra mid round picks to get into the top 10 picks of the 2nd round.

If there was ever a draft to fill key offensive positions, this is it. Lots of additional wrs shinning in this combine like Claypool, Mims & Jefferson. Jonathan Taylor putting up a strong time. Beane has a tough decision but he better emphasize offense in the first 5 picks. Use FA and that $90 M to upgrade your defense.
And one OL with the free agency too please.?

I'd like to kick Ford inside to Guard, move Feliciano over to LG, and sign Bulaga. Anyone agree on this?
I'm on board. That's a solid line imo and doesn't require an insane contract.

Didn’t Trent brown also earn a huge contract after filling that LT slot? If I remember correctly he got demoted to RT for the raiders by the start of the season.
He was signed to play RT from the start. Raiders had a 1st round pick training at LT. I know I know the contract.......ITS THE RAIDERS.

My sleeper:
Tristan Wirfs, OL, Iowa
Our No. 1 Freak last summer, the 6-5, 320-pound Wirfs set an Iowa record in the power clean by powering out four reps at 450 pounds. He is an absolute beast in the weight room, and it does carry over to the field. The former state champion wrestler
also vertical jumped 35 inches last offseason, which would have been the second-highest jump by an O-lineman at the NFL Scouting Combine in the past seven years. He’s also gone 9-5 feet in the broad jump.
Long gone but would love to have him!

Perfectly fair to have that opinion but worth noting that he was being asked to play MLB in a 3-4 with the giants. He’s a much better fit in what he would do here, imo
I like voices of reason?

In that event I would hope they would stand pat or move back and get a high ranking OL.
I concur.

I'd prefer to keep it around 12-13 per year, but that's not the world we live in. I would try and get him and Tre done asap, so we can keep this train rolling before the salaries get even more wack.

If the Bills think Ford will work out at RT I am cool with Ruiz replacing Spain for a couple years then moving in for Morse. Dude is an impact player period.

I don’t understand the love for Bulaga? He’s gonna be what? 31 years old come next month. Up and down the last couple seasons. Not quite what he was.
Ill take Daryl Williams 27, someone we can sign to a 3-4 yr deal.
Williams is my 1b after Conklin. I know he didn't have a great year but I believe a lot of that is because of such a severe injury he had to come back from.
-
Jack Conklin and the best DE possible. WR is a close third, possibly by trade if necessary.

I like Harry, but I don't think he'll be close to 100% this first year back from that type of injury. That's another reason I'm on the Reader train!!!
