Actually, I honestly believe that more than a year after an injury like his these guys normally get better.
I am fine in seeing what he can do for us next year.

He's battled injuries, but a solid player when healthy. OP is just a whine just to whine type.

Didn't know he intends to retire.
Yeah he's been aa good one too. But i'd be pretty happy with one of the other 3 top guys.

The Carolina connection says Kalil.
Kalil had stated this is final season for him. But other posters here like Easton, Moorse, and Paradis. Im on board with a veteran center if possible

I think he is a huge upgrade at guard or center, but he had surgery this offseason, so he is coming off injury. He had a disc in his neck, so while its a neck injury, it isn't like a spinal fusion or anything. He's a Harvard guy who the Vikings do miss quite a bit this year, but we can beat any offer they give him. I think he is more realistic than Paradis and he is younger. Mitch Morse is a good fit as well.
I think he is only getting to UFA because he is hurt. They wanted to extend him, but now they are in a weird spot.
Cool I'll look into him. I already like his age. We'd be getting him in his prime years which would be great.

I want us to go to the draft for OL.
I want draft AND free agents for OL lol. I want more teddy brosevelt lol

Dawkins-Teller-Easton-Cann-Williams
Bodine-Draft pick-Ike Boettger
Thats a good approach too. Whats the scoop on Easton? Is he JAG due to be a free agent or is he a big upgrade?

There is no LeVeon Bell in this draft, no player of that caliber. We need a playmaker.. Why not give Allen a young Thurman Thomas?
Tevin Coleman might be just a step below, which works just fine if we upgrade the line and add a couple more weapons.

There isn't an elite guy in this draft but a lot of good talent. I think there'll be a good WR with our 2nd. I'm not against trading up to #33 to make sure we get Marquise Brown.
I'm leaning towards that direction myself. Grab a free agent WR then move up for one. I have a feeling the 1st pick is gonna be a impact lineman. Probably D. Gonna have to hit OLine hard in free agency.

I'm guessing 12-15 right now. May be perfect spot for OT or WR. May be hard to trade down around there for the tradedown crowd imo.

Drafttek way off as usual.....not knocking anybody, just their rankings.

I'd go after Tevin Coleman, Tyrell Williams, 2 offensive linemen, and one of the top available TEs. You could then let the draft come to you.

How could anyone possibly know this without knowing where they are drafting, who is avaialble at the time their selections come up and what trade offers are on the table??
For some.... It is a gift lol

To me it depends on where they pick. I’m a believer that you never reach on a position and should try to draft to the strength of a deft because you get better value. If I’m picking at 6 (where things stand currently) I’m almost certainly picking a defensive player at this point. The value is just better. Greedy Williams, Ed Oliver ans Quinnen Williams would probably be my realistic targets. There are a bunch of day 2, early day 3 OL and WRs.
Maybe something like:
- Quinnen Williams
- Kelvin Harmon
- Ross Pierschbacher
- Anthony Johnson
That would be an amazing draft!

If Quinnen Williams, Oliver, or Jonah Williams are available I pick one of em (Im a trenches man), then I wheel and deal however I need to for speedy playmakers barring another position with a great player unexpectedly drops.

Oh, I’d bet anything that White gets offered a BIG 2nd contract by the Bills. These guys want to develop there own guys and grow with them. Tre may very well be the best CB in football this year. They aren’t just going to let that guy walk out the door.
Yep, and even though i personally am not for CB with the pick, I get the vibe that While would love to stay to keep the LSU tandem going if that happened.

He's definitely not my first choice either. I want Hollywood, he's probably the only WR in the draft I covet. There's other guys like AJ Brown that I wouldn't mind but I'm not blown away by either. He's definitely not a burner, kind of reminds me of a Demaryius Thomas or Dez Bryant type.
I'm starting to get a feel for what i like and Hollywood is part of my plan as well. I'm leaning towards a J Williams/BPA 1st pick with a trade up for Hollywood/or Anthony Johnson with the 2nd pick. Solve the big WR with the Williams from the Chargers in FA.

His only hope is a dome team or a nice weather team to really have any chance at all so this makes sense. He just doesn't have the arm to overcome.....well.....anything.

Jonah to LT.....Dawkins to LG......Teller to RG?
Word to the mutha lol
Or...... Start Williams at RT as a rookie with the notion of "best man wins" LT the following year. You want the premier paid position you gotta earn it.

I'm hoping our first three picks look like this:
1.) Jonah Williams, G
2.) Marquise Brown, WR
3.) LJ Scott, RB
That would be the bomb as far as the 1st two picks go. May have to trade up for Brown, and I wouldnt be against it.

I'd take a flyer on Ryan Kalil. Good to have some age in there too. Especially since he is calling the blocking audibles. He has that Carolina connection as well.
LT- Dion Dawkins
LG- Jonah Williams
C- Ryan Kalil
RG- Wyatt Teller
RT- Jordan Mills
Pretty solid group of linemen. Keep Miller and Bodine as our backup. Good group of guys.
Kalil had stated this is his final season.

I think he would be a Quenton Nelson caliber of G. He would also provide plenty of insurance in case Dion Dawkins went down. That entire left side would be solid. May not be there when we pick and it's still early on in the process but I would not be upset if he was the pick. I'd leave Dawkins at LT and Mills at RT. Center and RG would be our only weak spots on the OL.
The great thing about Williams is we could start him pretty much anywhere but center and have a sound/solid player pretty much instantly.
