If free agency goes really well and we get a solid trade down offer I would consider it.

You are incorrect on this
You can't talk to this guy John. I think he's Dawkins agent to be quite honest.

James will be close to $12m. Williams just a tick below.
Yep. Guarenteed my friends. It's called overpay/inflation.

Pretty solid imo

I think if he makes it through training camp and pre season relatively injury free we could actually see a pretty solid year from him. If we start seeing something nagging him constantly......he could be cut or even a trade attempt of some kind.

I wouldnt mind this signing if they let him focus as a guard mainly. This guys a below average center unfortunately.

Why would you move Dawkins to a position he is bad at?
You clearly are in the minority, Dawkins killed it in the brief time he was at LG. Maybe stay up on the mountain.

Probably draft a guy within the 1st 2 rounds and let them sort it out themselves. Get your RT and C in free agency. You could even keep Dawkins at LT for one more year and flip him and the draft pick the next year. If it plays out that way.

I like your plan but would be very hesitant to sign trent Brown at LT as he is an RT forced to play there when Isiah Wynn got hurt. He is not a good pass pro guy and the NE quick passing game covered up some glaring holes in his game. Remember when we played Langston Walker at LT - disaster!
Have to believe C and RT are a target for McD and Beane and are more affordable. Then Draft your LT (Jonah Williams in Rd1) or Andre Dillard in Back half of rd 1 (trade scenario) or Rd 2. Get a 5th year option on a premium cost position if picked in Rd1 - may be why they try trade up to back of Rd 1 and snag Dillard.
So Line could look like this:
Rookie LT - Dawkins LG - FA Morse/Paradis C - Teller RG - FA Williams RT
Good mix of youth and veterans and way more talent and power to run block.
Thats probably the most realistic and best option at the same time. Im fully on board.

Newsflash: Either of the top 2 centers or the top 3 tackles will not be atainable unless they are getting 10M per year MINIMUM. Anyone thinking otherwise is completely delusional and should get used to the 10M starting point. It's just the way it is guys.

If this happened I dont believe we would have to add anything. If fact Id want a 3rd or at least a 4th on top of those two 1sts to drop down that far.

Teams with high priority WR Needs:
Arizona - May take one at top of the 2nd round
49ers - High probability to acquire Antonio Brown
Jets - Need # 1 for Darnold, may take 2nd round
Raiders - Need 2 probably taking one with 2nd or 3rd 1st round pick
Buccaneers - Solid at WR
Giants - Solid at WR
Jaguars - Need QB 1st, WR later
Lions - Major need, but not in 1st round
Bills - Major need, but others Needs on OLine may be higher priority
Broncos - Drafted young WR last year
Bengals - Later round depth pick
Packers - Drafted young WR's last year
Dolphins - Too many other needs
Falcons - Solid at this position
Redskins - QB highest priority
Panthers - Have young WR Talent
Browns - Could go for a compliment for Landry
Vikings - OL is highest priority
Titans - Could go WR or TE
Steelers - Need CB or LB
Seahawks - Needs in other areas
Ravens - May go RB based on their system
Texans - OL 1st priority
Raiders - Could be CB or WR
Eagles - DB is major need
Colts - WR or DT are priority needs
Raiders - WR or DB

Chiefs - Secondary
Packers - Safety or Edge
Rams - LB or DT

26th in the NFL in sacks, and had to blitz to generate any kind of consistent pressure.
That's why people harp on pass rusher as a need...plus, at number 9 overall it's highly likely that the best player on the board will be a pass rusher (either EDGE or IDL).
Not only that, but you usually gotta grab pass rushers early. If we have a good turnaround year we won't be picking high enough to even sniff one next year. Oh yeah and Jerry Hughes is 31 years old.

I've been feeling the Bills will try and trade up from their 2nd round pick most likely for a OT, maybe WR. But if Hockenson is still floating around in the late 20's I'm totally on board with the Bills putting together a package to go up and get him.
-
If we can somehow steal Trenton Brown in free agency I feel really good about landing a solid RT with our 2nd pick.....

I'll make one prediction: Trade up from their 2nd pick either into the bottom of the 1st or top of the 2nd.
I'm feeling this vibe as well.

I don't know who else they have to sign but they gave big money to Hightower and Gilmore. I would think they'd try to sign him.
Hopefully they feel good about their LT they drafted in the first round from Georgia coming back from IR to let Brown hit free agency.....

Thank God. Would of been a bad move.

We are hanging our collective hat on Allen and yet we invest in a defensive unit that is pretty strong already? I don’t get it. Improving our offense will go a long way in making our defense even better.
We can still invest heavily on offense with multiple free agents and the other 9 draft picks. We need a pass rusher who requires double teams. We do not have one.

Ferrell would be a pretty solid pick at 9 imo. I think he projects to be a step up from Hughes, so I totally make the pick. The tradedown offer would have to be fairly sweet.......
