I've been secretly hoping to grab him with one of our 2nds if the Cook situation goes south. Now you've ruined it๐๐๐คฃ. Seriously though, I like him a lot as a fit for us.
A high 3rd would probably be as nice as we could hope for. But that pick could really open up this draft for the Bills.
I remember some here liking Slaton a good bit during the draft process that year. This in the past is where the Bills would lose a guy ready to come into their own. Maybe now is where the Bills can flip the script. Some of those NT types who are labeled "run stuffing only" add some complimentary pass rush juice when they keep working at it. Could be a sneaky good target.
Personally for me I'm going the free agent route with CB and safety as I think our draft slots do not line up well at all with the value at those positions. DE and DT are deep enough where maybe with a little moving up action we should be able to bring in some fresh new talent there. I'm also very determined to bring in more talent at WR as I believe you cannot stay complacent on offense. How WR gets done will be tricky but make no mistake it absolutely is a need.
I like the trade him to move up in this draft idea....with any of the first 3 picks we seem to be about 15 or so picks away from that first tier of positions of need. Something to definitely consider ๐คจ
The offense wasn't unstoppable on that jailbreak play vs KC where Kincaid couldn't come up with the catch. Plus, you cannot stay complacent in the ever changing NFL.
Idk I'm thinking Williams could potentially be the replacement for Bernard. I'm not 100% positive he could do it smoothly but he would definitely give us a little more size and thump in there.
Dorian Williams is right here waiting for you ๐. He'd be a little bump up in size as well. They need to restructure Milano though to buy a couple years before finding his replacement.
According to those numbers I'm only keeping Cook and Bernard. If you can get Shakir down to around 14 M, I'm in. Benford is a system guy let somebody else Josh Norman him.
Agreed. I would probably take a 2026 3rd rounder or one of our 2nds to do it. I don't know if I do one of the 2nds or not. If it's for one of the top 3 DEs or top 3 CB... value positions, I probably would then.
You don't draft a NT in round 1 who can't contribute to the pass rush. It's like an unspoken law unless he's guaranteed to be Ted Washington 2 and guess what?. ...there has only been one Ted Washington.
