  1. Losing would make it a steep uphill climb though.
  2. I'll go on record and say if Poyer is out our chances of winning are 0%. Call me double o negative or whatever but it is what it is.
  3. For sure. It also seems on plays where he totally wins his matchup but doesn't make the play himself nobody is there to get the cleanup/assist play.
  4. Guys like Lawrence have that elite size which is really the only knock on Oliver besides availability. I definitely liked Lawrence coming out. Oh, and SOMEONE FIX THE THREAD TITLE!!!! LOL!!!
  5. Agreed. Or at the very least one of them would be gone.
  6. It all goes back to passing on Creed. Right now he could be killing it at RG while Bates was at LG (we coulda skipped Saffold) patiently waiting to slide in for Mitch......😤
  7. Actually despite Phillips size he has been a liability vs the run his entire career, and his pass rush is pretty hit or miss too. We are fine is he needs some healing time.
  8. The guy's frame is probably not big enough to carry NFL weight
  9. I could absolutely see the 1st 3 picks go WR, OL, OL and I would love that.
  10. Yeah in hoping for the best territory. Not good enough.
  11. Well then the Bills board was crap because 9 out of 10 people AT LEAST knew Creed Humphrey was a much higher rated center than Boogie was as a what " utility defensive lineman" . As long as Morse can hold up Humphrey could of killed it at RG til it was time to slide over too. Sorry this one was a clear miss then, now, and forever.
  12. I'm not without an open mind on this either. It's unorthodox but I remember the 49ers back in the day and maybe the Bengals have some extremely tall guys play inside but do it at a high level so if it can work it works for me too
  13. How about you slow your roll there cowboy
  14. Bates himself has said center is where he would prefer to play, so there's that.
  15. His wife seemed pretty upbeat so hopefully although it's his 6th documented concussion, maybe it's a minor one. I know we're all praying for him and hoping for the best.
  16. At the very least a guy who could play G until Morse decides/is forced to hang em up.
  17. I think plan A is Bates as Morse's successor but plan B at G if a can't pass up center is available somewhere in the process.
  18. Nice list. You have given me optimism. Let's hope Beane delivers.
  19. I'm all for double dipping in the draft or even free agency as far as targeting the interior, but I think they give Spencer Brown one more pass. The guy had zero, read this closely ZERO, offseason training to work on techniques, size, strength, or agility because of back surgery. How much this has truly set him back only the coaches probably know, but I'm hoping the Beaner acts accordingly and invests significantly one way or another with this group. Hit online heavy 2023!!!
  20. I think he was always way stronger younger. James probably needs at least 2 offseasons to get to where we truly need him.
  21. Well said and exactly what I'm afraid of. We need to prioritize keeping the current D together for at least 2 more years and draft heavy offensive players 2 drafts in a row to preserve Josh's health.
  22. I'll break my thoughts down best I can. Draft receivers early and often because it's gonna be next to impossible to sign good ones in free agency. We also got to put more priority on offensive line talent before we break our QB. Both need to start happening this offseason.
  23. Yeah I've been wondering if Boettger has been practicing enough to take that leap myself.
  24. I agree and he still has work to be done in learning to read defenses and going through progressions. Man if he ever masters all them......🔥
