Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
As well as it should be. There is so much talk of non-football fans and injuries. It even is affecting young people playing the game. The Bills can stay under the radar for all I care. -

It really is troubling. This story is not going away anytime soon. I hope he makes the right decision whatever that ends up being. -

I expect nothing less than well thought out rational posts in tonight's GDT! -
We will see. He has been pretty healthy the last 2 years.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
ColoradoBills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope Von has a good game against the Dolphins today. If he does, this thread will be worth visiting. -
Where does Curtis Samuel fit in? I think he is going to be very active lining up all over the place. Samuel and Kincaid did not have a big role Sunday. I'm quite sure that will not happen every week. I know evaluators need to put WRs in specific roles but maybe a little more weight should be put into what Brady has said about WR roles. Brady is trying to implement something different and at least for me I'm going to give it some time to see how it's develops. It may be that the last thing Brady wants to do is go back to acquiring a "stud WR#1" who by definition needs the lion's share of targets.

Week 2 - Bills at Dolphins - Game Week Thread
ColoradoBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it's you. Where are you getting this data that shows the Bills are "slow starters". -
I don't agree. But you do you.
-
If they lose the locker room and Pegula than sure. A small percentage of a fan base means nothing.
-
Firing Beane and McDermott right now would make the Bills the biggest laughingstock in the league. Both would have new jobs by next February.
-
His ranking covers 12 categories (he doesn't say what they are) that were compiled by a KC STC from 1980. Special Teams is still a mystery to most NFL fans. I for one would like more light on the subject. It probably is quite interesting.
-
I have never seen any ranking scenarios. There are 5 major components on STs. I have no idea how they "weigh" their importance.
-
Now that is FUNNY. I should have been clearer on that. NO ONE wants that comparison!
-
I see your point and do agree that "coaching" is part of the equation. I just don't see it as the ONLY part. Same when I hear comments during a GDT after penalties are called and comments are made that it's "all on the coaches". Are we all for "punishing" Josh for not sliding? It's a team sport and I believe it's requiring a team to succeed.
-
I find it hard to believe that no coaches have talked to these players on how to tackle. It's a fundamental part of football and these guys have been doing it since peewee. Players have to take the brunt of the responsibility on errors like this.

Spencer Brown Contract - Per Spotrac
ColoradoBills replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the fair contract from the Bills point of view that I believe Spencer and his agent understand. Lots of comments from fans saying he only had 1 good healthy season. Spencer betting on himself and OBD protecting their interests. I think it's a fair contract for both sides. -
Special Teams had another hiccup with the KO return Sunday. It seems to me this does happen to the Bills more often than it should. I get the feeling that at times the ST try to get a little cute in their play calling and it does bite them in the a$$ too often. I'd like them just to play the safer odds and avoid the negative plays.

Spencer Brown Contract - Per Spotrac
ColoradoBills replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
At first, I was thinking he would sign for around $17M per and then I saw there was 3 other players all within $500K in the $17M's. They bumped it up a little more to get him into the top 10. In 2 years, my hope is Spencer keeps improving and the contract will look very good. -
Currently at $5M. It will depend on what they do with Von Miller. If he is cut early, it's another $15M if after June 1st it's another $6M.
