  1. Re-signing the guys you want and getting the upgrades cost $. Bills don't have any, so it has to come from restructuring ALL the big player contracts. I just don't know if that is the right thing to do this offseason.
  2. Definitely could go the way you say. Restructuring Allen, Diggs, Milano, Knox, McGovern and Von Miller IS staying the course. I was just thinking out loud about the alternatives.
  3. I didn't want to get into the numbers, but Diggs and Von would HAVE to be post June cuts. Diggs could be traded and the Bills eat a lot of $. Knox has to redo his contract. Splitting that big dead cap over 2 years can be done. It's a fans question that I asked, it would take some big balls by Beane to try it.
  4. If that is true, then why not do a decent sized re-tool this off season? That's the question I've asked myself in my OP. I just don't know.
  5. "Might". Maybe not. The counterargument about Josh and his prime is simple. Will tweaking be enough? They just happen to be talking about it on GMFB right now. It's a tough question that Beane (if he is truthful) has to ask himself. That's all I'm saying.
  6. Sure. I guess my question is, how much? Just using Von as an example. Do you keep him or bite the bullet and move on?
  7. When I asked the question to you guys, I personally thought Dawkins stays. I included his name for general purposes. Overall comment: I am a little shocked that a lot of the responses are in some form accepting of the idea. Like @SCBillscommented, it might NOT be a throw away year. It might be the change needed for Josh (and the remaining) vets to get a new sense of purpose.
  8. This is a question I've asked myself even before yesterday's loss. Does Beane keep the older guys (and bad contracts) and tweak around the best he can? Would he think that's enough to get the team over the hump or does he make the move in 2024 to get younger and put an offense around Josh. I'm not going to get into the weeds about exact numbers (my mind is numb from yesterday) but I think most of you guys (and gals) know what I mean. Move on right now from guys like Von and Diggs (post June cuts) along with White, Morse, Dawkins, Poyer, Harty, Hines, Martin and who knows who else. Other players have to be approached about their contracts too. Knox, Neal, Bass In essence, a big re-tool. Would Josh have to buy into a plan like this? Would McDermott? If a new HC comes in, it will happen anyway. You might sacrifice the 2024 season, but you structure yourself for the future Bills built around Josh Allen. As a fan, I would go along with it if that would be decided. There are going to be some big questions/decisions for Beane this spring, one way or another!
  9. Once again expecting a calm, cool, rational GDT. Go Bills!
  10. Bills/Lions Super Bowl is one step closer!
  11. He was carrying it.
  12. Since the end of the regular season there has been probably over 500 Reserve/Future signings by NFL teams. Over 50 WRs alone have so far been signed. The Buffalo Bills have so far signed 2 (WR Hamler and S Williamson). Most of the Bills PS players will sign them after the Bills season is over. Only this place would have some fans thinking that Beane is finished with WRs because of Hamler. I guess the Williamson signing means "no more safeties" too. LOL.
  13. Definitely my favorite so far.
  14. That is your opinion, and you can believe it if you want. I couldn't disagree more when it comes to Beane finding a WR2. He doesn't have big money for an UFA WR (like you stated), so I see him drafting one in the 1st 2 rounds.
  15. After the 6-6 start this board had given up. Lucky for us the team did not. They have rose up like the Phoenix and that omen's it's meaning. To rise like a phoenix from the ashes means to emerge from a catastrophe stronger, smarter, and more powerful. Go Bills!
  16. Signing this guy to a futures deal will not affect his decision on a WR in THIS YEAR'S draft.
  17. Once again, he battled injuries this year. IF he can stay healthy, he could push to make the team as a WR6 or a prime PS guy.
  18. Players can sign futures deals as soon as their team's season is over. Bills will sign their own guys after the Superbowl.
  19. He was hurt a lot playing for Denver.
  20. Ankle injury. But he is 35 years old and has been used as relief this year, not a starter.
  21. An offense good at it and a defense good at stopping it. It's what makes playoff football fun to watch.
  22. He's been on my ignore list for a year now. It is disappointing (to me IMO) that so many board members put up with his trolling.
